No. of bitstreams: 1 Francisco de Assis2.pdf: 2859238 bytes, checksum: 8bed2044265441a7d40095c15b52fb30 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-06-05 / Among the journalistic genres, especially the ones practiced in the Brazilian press, there is one which José Marques de Melo names “diversional journalism”. Differentiated by its fun-making purpose and also by its revealing coverage of interesting stories, the structure of its format assimilates elements both from literature and anthropology. But what motivates reporters to develop such genres, and in what circumstances? What methods are used for such work? What forces act there? This study aimed to understand how this process takes place, by observing and comparing the ways of doing adopted by nine Brazilian journalists, who were chosen because they submit themselves to two interrelated criteria: 1) being well recognized in the journalistic setting and/or by the publishing market as professionals who stand out for their expertise in such genre; and 2) having produced texts – presenting the mentioned characteristics – for newspapers and/or magazines that were subsequently compiled into a book. The methodology employed is narrowly related to the theoretical “newsmaking” perspective, using the appropriate technique for an observation that considers different moments of history (from the 1950s up to today): the interview in its semi structured format. The group of journalists interviewed is formed by Audálio Dantas, Carlos Wagner, Consuelo Dieguez, Daniela Pinheiro, Eliane Brum, João Moreira Salles, José Hamilton Ribeiro, Ricardo Kotscho and Zuenir Ventura. As a result, we defend that the genre presented here as the subject of research is cultivated by a select group of professionals, capable of casting sensitive eyes over reality, extracting details and plots from it that will impact on the readers’ feelings, amusing them while offering esthetic gratification, in contrast to some assumed alienation. Such production is dependent on creativity, curiosity, and on talent to write pleasant texts, as well as on highly subjective checking and writing methods, which turn out to be quite a settled matter in the way those professionals act. Such capacity is what enables them to gain space, amid disputes with editors and editorial directors, in order to prepare texts which will highlight their authorship. At last, the function of amusing, assigned to the genre, is confirmed by the professionals, though implicitly / Há, dentre os gêneros jornalísticos, especialmente os praticados na imprensa brasileira, um agrupamento a que José Marques de Melo atribui o nome de “jornalismo diversional”.

The New MPB emerged as a controversial term in Brazilian music critic in the early twenty-first century to refer to actors who performed in the context of the music industry reconfiguration, triggered by digital platforms and downloading music on the internet, raising questions about the Brazilian Popular Music (MPB). The objective of this study was to map the controversy of New MPB describing and analyzing its socio-technical network to indicate the rearticulations that New MPB controversy negotiates with the MPB. This is a theoretical and methodological study of the MPB, according to the theoretical assumptions and concepts of Actor-Network Theory (ANT), their possible links with the communication and music studies, specifically with musical genres, thought from the ANT as consisting of disputes, the New MPB is a contemporary controversy of MPB. Following this perspective, it was applied the Cartography of Controversies (CC) as a methodology to track and map the New MPB, identifying their actors and analyzing their actions, statements and opinions provided in the online digital networks, describing their appearance and the opening of black boxes on MPB about the labeling criteria for artists, search for approval in established names, the popular, commercial and artistic autonomy, the musical quality, acceptance and denial of labels and the issue of new in the MPB. From the description of the controversy, a critical account of the New MPB was prepared, describing and analyzing its possible stabilization as socio-technical network, giving the necessary prominence to the main non-human actors of the New MPB and the changes in MPB with the incorporation of internet technical mediation in the independent mode of operation in the New MPB and artistic productions that bring between their aesthetic possibilities the penetrations of indie rock and pop music, beyond the notion of expanded song. Finally, the ANT indicated the possible direction for researches in the MPB studies nowadays and how controversies are the main mobilizing the processes of renewal and transformation of musical genres

Un nouveau poète à minuit. Ethos et horizons poétiques dans l'oeuvre de Robert Pinget / A New Poet at Minuit Publishing House. Ethos and poetic horizons in Robert Pinget’s Works

Marchand, Aline 07 December 2012 (has links)
This thesis takes the reader through Robert Pinget’s protean work, from early poems to notebooks including novels, theatre and art books. This work will examine literary history, sociopoetics and genre pragmatics in order to show that poetry represents an aesthetic horizon for the New Novelist, in other words a vanishing point for his manifold experiments in genre. The tension between his poetic ethos and his books published by Minuit invites the reader to pay attention to the continuous and disquieting movement in writing striving towards a poetry that refuses taxonomy. This study starts by going over Pinget’s path from his giving up poetry and painting to build a professional career as a New Novelist at Minuit Publishing House. Yet, at the very heart of his most iconic novels, the unremitting and anxious presence of a poet’s ethos can be perceived. Then this work discusses other modes of expression – art books, plays for the stage or the radio and notebooks. The New Novelist experiments the poet’s exile once again when out of fiction territory he explores those genre lands to regain the absence of knowledge and the freshness of the neophyte. Ultimately, poetry is both an origin and a future for the entire work. Then this study examines three specificities of writing and reading poetic perspectives – the recomposing of a sensory universe that makes the reader see and hear the world, the constitution of a specific space-time for the writer from which a powerfully original discourse emerges, the inscription of the subject in accordance with the modern methods of critical lyricism.

Having the purpose of examining the evaluative dimensions used by both hotels , the methodology offered by the systemic functional linguistic developed by Halliday (1994; 2004) was chosen, as well as the proposed the Genre and Register Theory proposed by Eggins & Martin (1997). Lemke states that the lexicogrammatical resources enables the expression not only of the ideational meaning as well as the speaker s attitude in relation to his propositions and proposes. Anything we say about the world will carry our point of view about it: if we believe it, it will be usual, expected, important, probable, surprisingly, serious or comprehensible, and these beliefs are transformed into the seven dimensions proposed by him, of this evaluative orientation in relation to the text semantics. At the end of this analysis, the data shows that the evaluative dimensions Importance, Desirability, Warrantability, Expectedness, and not Usuality are present in both folders, while the evaluative dimensions Normativity and not Expectedness are the differences between them / O objetivo desta dissertação é examinar os folders de dois hotéis da Rede hoteleira Accor: o Hotel Formule 1 e o Hotel Sofitel, um econômico e outro de luxo, respectivamente, localizados na cidade de São Paulo, para verificar, através das dimensões avaliativas em termos de Lemke (1998), as diferenças de escolhas léxico-gramaticais que realizam as diferentes linguagens utilizadas pelos hotéis, considerando os segmentos de mercado a que se destinam.

Analýza žánrové skladby české YouTube scény / Genre Analysis of the Czech YouTube Scene

Mlejnková, Anna January 2017 (has links)
The thesis is focused on the subject of genres in the context of new media, specializing on the biggest Internet online video sharing platform, YouTube. Considering the interactivity of YouTube as a kind of social media site and making contact between the creator and his audience, the genre composition of YouTube channels directly reflects the preferences of the specific audience. The main objective of this thesis is to make an analysis of genres on a sample of five selected professional Czech YouTube channels. The sample is based on current order of channels according to the number of subscribers (namely ViralBrothers, MenT, GEJMR, Jirka Král and Hoggy). After the introduction of how professional YouTube channels operate follows the theoretical part of the thesis defining the basic ideas, which are important to set the methodological framework of the analysis. The analytical part consists of presenting the results of the genre analysis, categorizing genres into a system and defining genres based on their characteristics.

Toro, Alfonso de 17 August 2022 (has links)
The article deals with the general discussion on the „new autobiography“ both historically and theoretically. Lejeune’s concept of the „autobiographical pact“ is subjected to a fundamental critique. Following Robbe-Grillet’s Le miroir qui revient, Doubrovsky’s Livre brisé, Lacan, Derrida, Deleuze, Ricardou, Barthes, the poststructural theory and the new historiography, Lejeune’s theory is replaced by a new model, in which the ‘new autobiography’ is grasped as an ‘aventure d’un récit’, as a ‘glissement’, ‘série- aléatoire’, as ‘re-and-re-writing’ as a process of a becoming of biographical themes whose ‘reality’/’truth’ takes place in the absolute instantaneousness of the act of writing.
