Name: The Effect of Facilitating Kinesio Taping of lower scapula fixators on pain threshold of trigger points in the m. trapezius pars descendens Objectives: This study is a pilot study. The goal of this study is to determine effects of Facilitating Kinesio Taping of lower scapula fixators on painfulness of trigger points in the m. trapezius pars descendens. Methods: The study took place in a private medical office with thirteen patients. All of these patients were physically examined using standard tests of physiotherapy. Patients were measured using a pressure algometer to assess trigger points as painful. They reported the intensity of pain on VAS. The places of measurement were trigger points one and two in the muscle according Travell and Simons. Data were analyzed using the statistical program SPSS 15.0 and Microsoft Office Excel. Results: This study had three hypotheses. In the case of the first hypothesis, I concluded that KT has an effect on the pain threshold and its application will reduce the pain threshold in m.trapezius pars descendens. Statistical significance was the value of p = 0.03 and p = 0.011, the value of material significance (101.31 kPa and 106.7 kPa) confirmed my theory that after KT will increase the pressure of 100 kPa in the TrP1 and TrP2. Apparu au lendemain de la Seconde Guerre mondiale avec la publication en 1957 d’On the Road de Jack Kerouac et la sortie, 12 ans plus tard, d’Easy Rider de Dennis Hopper, le road novel et le road movie constituent à nos yeux les deux versants de ce que nous avons choisi de nommer le récit de la route. Devant l’absence de réelle étude conjointe entre les deux formes et la persistance d’amalgames, nous souhaitons mettre en évidence ce qui permettrait de distinguer le road novel et le road movie d’autres récits d’errance. Un tel travail nécessite la mise au jour d’un outil d’analyse intermédial permettant d’embrasser de concert des œuvres relevant d’expressions médiatiques différentes. Nous proposons donc de recourir au concept de chronotope développé par Bakhtine en littérature, et dont il a été démontré il y a peu qu’il est aussi susceptible de s’appliquer à un objet cinématographique. Nous posons que road novel et road movie reposent sur la combinaison d’un ensemble de chronotopes fondamentaux : celui de la route, dans le contexte de la motorisation et des non-lieux de la postmodernité, et celui du seuil, compris comme l’expression du tournant d’une vie. La présence d’une dimension parodique nous amène en outre à mobiliser un autre concept bakhtinien : celui de carnavalesque, qui s’articulerait justement autour des chronotopes de la route et du seuil définis précédemment. Afin de procéder à cette analyse chronotopique, nous nous appuyons sur un corpus d’œuvres empruntées au répertoire américain, québécois et allemand, en raison notamment des multiples passerelles susceptibles d’être érigées entre ces différentes cultures. / Appearing in the wake of World War II, with the publication in 1957 of On the Road by Jack Kerouac, followed 12 years later with the screening of Denis Hopper’s Easy Rider, the road novel and road movie constitute, we argue, two sides of what we call the road narrative. Faced with a lack of comprehensive studies embracing both sides concurrently, and with recurrent amalgams, we reflect on the components differentiating the road novel and road movie from other types of wandering stories. Such a project calls for the construction of an intermedial apparatus, enabling us to jointly encompass artworks belonging to different media formats. Consequently, we build on the concept of the chronotope, as developed by Bakhtin as a tool for literary criticism, and recently extended by scholars to cinematographic objects. We show how road novels and road movies emerge from the combination of two fundamental chronotopes: that of the road, exemplified by a postmodern universe dominated by motor vehicles and non-places, and that of the threshold, understood as the expression of a critical turn in one’s life. The noted presence of a parodic dimension in road narratives calls for the introduction of an additional bakhtinian concept: the carnivalesque, which, as we show, can be articulated in relation to the previously defined road and threshold chronotopes. For this chronotopical analysis, we selected artworks from the American, Quebecois and German repertoires, a choice justified by the numerous potential connections to be established between those three different cultures. / Thèse réalisée en cotutelle, sous la direction de M. Basis: In the Czech Republic, an estimated 46.8 thousand problem drug users and the prevalence of infectious diseases (mainly viral hepatitis C) among problem users are high. This may be related not only to the actual use of drugs but also to their risky sexual behavior through which they can transmit infectious diseases as well. Objective: The main goal of this thesis is to describe the occurrence of risk sexual behavior in problem drug addicts using low-threshold addictology services in České Budějovice. Methods: The results of this thesis were processed on the basis of answers from an anonymous questionnaire from 50 clients of the contact center in České Budějovice, with a total of 12% of clients' contact centers. They were addressing respondents who came to take advantage of the exchange program or contact room. A total of 19 women and 31 men participated in the survey, the average age of respondents was 32 years. The research results were identified and processed in graphs through descriptive statistics. The data was evaluated in Microsoft Excel and then in Microsoft Word. Results: The results show a certain connection between problematic use of addictive substances and risky sexual behavior. The aim of the thesis is analysis of financial situation of households in Czech Republic. The main goal of the thesis is primarily analysis of differences in financial situation of households bellow and above the poverty threshold. The thesis is also focused on living standarts of households bellow the poverty threshold. This task is performed by using models of logistic regression for deeper analysis of situation of the Czech households.

Author: Bc. Veronika Szabóová Title: Comparative analysis of selected muscles activity during ropeclimbing, pull-up and its modifications. Objectives: The aim of the theoretical part of this thesis is to make a search of the available studies in the field of ropeclimbing and its training methods. The aim of this study is to evaluate the coordination of the selected muscles in terms of its timing during three specific training exercises compared to legless ropeclimbing. Methods: The theoretical part of the thesis was elaborated on the basis of information from printed and electronic sources in the Czech and English language in the form of a research. In the practical part of the thesis the activity of ten selected muscles during ropeclimbing, pull-up and its modifications was monitored. The main research method was the surface electromyography. The representative sample of 11 participants examined in the study was properly chosen from active competitors in ropeclimbing. The study evaluates the order of muscle activation compared to the legless ropeclimbing as the reference movement. The treshold method was used for detection of the muscle activity. Te aim of the research dissertation thesis is to introduce transactional analysis as a practi- cal tool applicable for efective communication with clients in low-threshold addictology services. Te main objective is the discovery of ego-states that clients use in communication with employees, determining the representation of individual ego-states at both client and employee side. A partial goal is to observe the methods of communication with the client, which lead to the provision of services in the framework of Adult to Adult transactions. Te output usable in real life is a manual of communication between employees and clients using principles of transaction analysis. Te research group consists of 88 observed, recorded and evaluated interviews between employees and clients of the low-threshold addictology service Drop In Prevention and Treatment of Drug Addiction Center, specifcally in the Drop In Low-threshold Center. Tey were active users of illegal addictive substances who have requested some service from the spectrum of harm reduction services at the time of the research. Thesis examines Low-Treshold facility for children and youth T klub in Zlín in more details. Thesis is focused on life situation of target group of Low-Treshold facility for children and youth T klub which involves ocurrence of unfavorable and risky behaviour of youth, their needs and individual aims. Thesis is also examines the scope of activities of Low-Treshold facility for children and youth focused on prevention of risky behaviour of youth and the strategies of social work with adolescent population using social workers. Empirical research of qualitative research monitors the influence Low-Treshold facility T klub for life of their clients and the sense of Low-Treshold facility for children and youth for adolescent population in Zlín.

(in English): The diploma thesis is about burnout syndrome and the influence of supervision on workers of Low-threshold facilities for children and the youth. It is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is about burnout syndrome, supervision, low-threshold facilities for children and the youth and workers of these facilities. The empirical part contains the aim of the paper and the research design, interpretation of the results of the research and discussion and limits of the research. The aim of the research of the diploma thesis is to focus on low- threshold facilities for children and the youth workers, their activity in these facilities, the level of exposition to the burnout syndrome and their perception of supervision. The quantitative research was carried out in the form of an online questionnaire, which was sent by email to low- threshold facilities for children and youth's workers in Prague.

My diploma thesis deals with Low-threshold services for children and youth and with fulfilling of the standards for quality in social services. Firstly I analysed problems of leisure time, historical events in the development in Low-threshold services for children and youth and binding documents for social workers. These problems are also discussed in relevance to the social services law. I mentioned the principles of low-threshold, aims of these establishments, target group and the whole process of this programme. One chapter deals with the management and financing and with social workers, their qualities, competences and supervision as the aide in self-education, and beneficiaries of social services and their characteristics. What threatens these beneficiaries are socio-pathological phenomenons, the most important ones are listed and I added the prevention. I described one mentioned establishment, which employs volunteers. For the evaluation of fulfilling of standards in social services I have chosen two low-threshold services for children and youth from Hradec Králové, where I have found if the standars are fulfilled or not by means of studying of methodology, observations and interviews with workers and beneficiaries. For conclusion I suggested some improvements which could be used in these establishments.

This final thesis deals with benefits of standards in social services. It is aimed to reasons and sources for developement of social service standards in a connection with the socioeconomic change of a society after 1989. Furthermore, it offers a view on specialities of social work with children and youth and specialities of their needs linked with use of social service offers. It also reflects general processes in institutions which implement quality standards of social work as tools to increase its own services. This work also shows a resume and results of actual theoretical and practical outputs directed to benefit of standards of social services. This thesis currently offers a probe into social workers view to a particular institution for children and teen-agers to uncover benefits of standards of quality in their institution.
