Research participants were students of a class of adult and youth education of the 2o segment of the Central Penitentiary Progression of Distrito Federal (CPP-DF). The analysis of the results was made from questionnaires answered by the students and observations by the teacher during class. The introduction of mathematical operations took place initially by mathematical tricks, then were presented alternative ways to perform them later manipulation of new algorithms, unraveling the tricks and finally organizing with mathematical games. The participants demonstrated commitment, dedication and interest in the tricks, games and alternative algorithms. The objective of this work was achieved. We realized that there was in fact an improvement in pupils ’ learning.

O processo de inclusão escolar do aluno com deficiência mental: a atuação do terapeuta ocupacional / The process of school inclusion of the mental handicapped student: the occupational therapist performance

Andréa Perosa Saigh Jurdi 17 March 2004 (has links)
This study which is of empirical and qualitative connotation starts on the principle that, besides the existing legislation regarding school inclusion of the mental handicapped students, their exclusion from day-to-day relations still occurs. The objective of this work is to comprehend how the activity proposed by Occupational Therapy can interfere and modify the established relations regarding the mental handicapped student in the school environment. Through the report of Occupational Therapy Trainees on an intervention experiment during break time in an elementary public school in São Paulo city, I look forward to verifying how the proposed activity, the ludic one, provokes gathering possibilities between the special class students and the others, proposing changes in the school inclusion process of the mental handicapped students. Using Winnicott's theory I propose a determined look at the school environment and at the activity as how to make creative individual. The qualitative analysis of the intervention made points out to the difficulties which the school environment shows as when it establishes day-to-day relations of quality with the mental handicapped student. Covered up by prejudism and lack of information, the relations developed in the school environment reinforce the unsuccessful and school failure cristalized role to the mental handicapped student unabling him (her) to remean his (her) action as a creative and healthy individual, perpetuating a relation pattern that blocks up the process of a real school inclusion.

DEEP SKETCH-BASED CHARACTER MODELING USING MULTIPLE CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORKS

Aleena Kyenat Malik Aslam (14216159) 07 December 2022 (has links)

3D character modeling is a crucial process of asset creation in the entertainment industry, particularly for animation and games. A fully automated pipeline via sketch-based 3D modeling (SBM) is an emerging possibility, but development is stalled by unrefined outputs and a lack of character-centered tools. This thesis proposes an improved method for constructing 3D character models with minimal user input, using only two sketch inputs i.e., a front and side unshaded sketch. The system implements a deep convolutional neural network (CNN), a type of deep learning algorithm extending from artificial intelligence (AI), to process the input sketch and generate multi-view depth, normal and confidence maps that offer more information about the 3D surface. These are then fused into a 3D point cloud, which is a type of object representation for 3D space. This point cloud is converted into a 3D mesh via an occupancy network, involving another CNN, for a more precise 3D representation. This reconstruction step contends with non-deep learning approaches such as Poisson reconstruction. The proposed system is evaluated for character generation on standardized quantitative metrics (i.e., Chamfer Distance [CD], Earth Mover’s Distance [EMD], F-score and Intersection of Union [IoU]), and compared to the base framework trained on the same character sketch and model database. This implementation offers a significant improvement in the accuracy of vertex positions for the reconstructed character models.

Vliv marketingu na zákazníka při výběru potravin / The influence of marketing on the customer at food choices

VANIŠOVÁ, Hana January 2019 (has links)
The thesis deals with the influence of marketing on the customer in the choice of food. It examines whether the influence of marketing prevails over customer´s own judgment about the choice of appropriate food for daily use in terms of monitoring its nutritional composition. The theoretical part deals with the basics of marketing, with a lot of attention being paid to food goods, food labeling, nutrition and the quality of food products, which can greatly affect the quality of life. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey. The obtained data are processed in the form of tables and graphs, supplemented with verbal commentary. The validity of the set hypotheses is statistically evaluated and processed. Based on the results of the research, at the end of the thesis, the factors influencing the purchasing decision and the individual preferences of the respondents in the food selection are evaluated. The appendix provides an overview of practical information and general advice that should help shoppers to make choices when purchasing basic foods and to better understand the information given on individual product packaging.
