Real-time data acquisition and processing of the Magnetic, Angular Rate and Gravity (MARG) sensor

Saliaris, Ioannis R. 06 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / This research involves the development of a human-body motion tracking system constructed with the use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) compo-nents. The problem to be solved is that the data from the motion tracking sensors must be transmitted wirelessly in real time from a microcontroller to a server computer. Due to the fact that the microcontroller does not support a standard OS, widely used PCMCIA cards or USB wireless modules cannot be used. The wireless communication module chosen for this purpose is the DPAC airborne, a highly integrated 802.11b module that can be easily integrated with the microcon-troller. The evaluation of the module was completed in four stages. The first part was to initiate communication with the DPAC module. The second part was to establish communication between the DPAC module and a TCP server. The third part was to establish communication between the microcontroller and the DPAC module. The fourth part was to increase the baud-rate to the desired high value of 230,400 bps. The evaluation result indicates that the DPAC airborne module meets the wireless communication requirements of the motion tracking system. / Lieutenant, Hellenic Navy

Elektronický měřič teploty a vlhkosti / Electronic thermometer and humidity meter

Lapáček, Petr January 2011 (has links)
This master´s thesis deals with the design of measuring station used for the temperature and humidity measurement. There is a theoretical basical description of sensores for temperature and humidity measurement in the first part. Furthermore I deal with a theoretical design of measuring system, especially with types of materials and possibilities of communication between these parts. The main part of thesis is about communication on buses I2C,UART, SPI, RS485. There is a description of function procedure of particular integrated circuit, moduluses which are used in task in the next part of thesis. In the practical part I was engaged in a functional design of autonomous system for the temperature and ralative humidity measurement. Data could be presented by the computer after connection with the station. There is a description of testing the particular circuits and the full description of function particular blocks of system in the task. I have used the program called Eagle for schemes and printed wirings designing. The copy is placed on CD ready for next using. In the last part of thesis is a brief description of program algorithm "Meteostanice", which I have created for data presentation. There is an illustration of measuring results in these last part. The task is completely ready for the realization of autonomous system of weather station with its own memory.

Budič světlometů s LED diodami / Driver for LED automotive lights

Christen, Jiří January 2014 (has links)
This master's thesis deals with a design and realization of a LED driver that is based on integrated circuits NCV78703 and NCV78723 from ON Semiconductor. The aim of the project is to create a demonstration application with these integrated circuits for the use of company. The circuits can be especially used for driving LED automotive lights. The driver is controlled with a microcontroller also providing a communication with a software running on a PC via USB interface. This software enables to simply modify parameters of the driver in order to adjust an intensity of LEDs.

Händelsekonstruktion genom säkrande och analys av data från ett hemautomationssystem / Event Reconstruction by Securing and Analyzing Data from a Home Automation System

Baghyari, Roza, Nykvist, Carolina January 2019 (has links)
Enheterna triggades under händelsescenariot. / The purpose of this bachelor thesis was to extract timestamps from a home automation system with a control unit named Homey in a forensic perspective. The first step was to create a course of event regarding a burglar breaking into an apartment with home automation. The home automation system consisted of some peripheral units using different types of wireless network protocols. All these units were triggered during the break in. Thereafter different types of methods were tested in an attempt to extract the timestamps for each unit. These methods included rest-API, UART and chip-off on a flash memory. The method using JTAG were not tested due to lack of time. Rest-API was the method that provided most information about the units and time stamps. The flash memory also contained every timestamp, however it did not provide any information about which timestamp belonged to which unit. Even though the rest-API was the best method to extract data, it was also the method with most requirements such as credentials or a rooted smartphone. With the extracted timestamps it was possible to reconstruct the course of events of the break-in.

Kotačka, Aleš January 2008 (has links)
This master's thesis deals use FITkit for longtime temperature monitoring without necessity connection on PC. Describe possibilities connection different heat-sensitive elements to FITkit inclusive physical realization. Further this thesis deals with measuring of temperature, displaying temperature and saving to memory, blocks-partitioning of memory. Is defined communication protocol between FITkit and PC for bulk downloading of data. So are solving problems with saving measure data to text files and next processing in table processors.

Periferie procesoru RISC-V / RISC-V Processor Peripherals

Vavro, Tomáš January 2021 (has links)
The RISC-V platform is one of the leaders in the computer and embedded systems industry. With the increasing use of these systems, the demand for available peripherals for the implementations of this platform is growing. This thesis deals with the FU540-C000 processor from SiFive company, which is one of the implementations of the RISC-V architecture, and its basic peripherals. Based on the analysis, an UART circuit for asynchronous serial communication was selected from the peripherals of this processor. The aim of this master thesis is to design and implement the peripheral in one of the languages for the description of digital circuits, and then create a verification environment, through which the functionality of the implementation will be verified.

Vývojová deska s ARM Cortex M4 / ARM Cortex M4 Development board

Volek, Lukáš January 2013 (has links)
In this work I aimed at designing a universal system for testing either STM32F407/417 by STMicroelectronics and later various sensors and communication buses. The result then is a main board with many specific connectors for individual buses even with connectors making all I/O pins accessible at the same time. Thanks to advanced switching regulators the power supply is capable of accepting a wide range of sources like single Li-Ion cell, pair of alkaline cells, 12V Lead battery, common wall power adapters (both DC and AC up to 15 Vpp ), USB, laboratory power supplies with multiple outputs and finally POE (Power Over Ethernet). Supply voltages are supervised by voltage comparators with an optical signalisation. (It is possible to determine the sick branch without a measuring instrument and blowing components in the most cases.) Another important parameter was a robustness of the supply and communication lines. There is a number of TVSs, chokes, and big and low ESR capacitors A PC software is intended for a basic functionality demonstration only.
