The technology of Wireless Local Area Network(WLAN) is getting mature.Even the INTEL,Co developed the WLAN chip (Centrino) that can be embedded in laptops or PDAs. So that , the chip could upgrade the device of the efficiency of WLAN and increase the number of the users.
Recently, the WLAN has been a very hot issue, but most of the studies that have been done are concerned with the technique perspective¡Bproperty perspective and strategy; very little research has been conducted to investigate the consumer perspective.
Therefore, for saving the resources and enhancing the quality of the WLAN¡¦s research, the purpose of this study is to explore the network
users¡¦ acceptance after implement the system based on ¡§the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology¡¨(UTAUT). The results of this research indicate that (1) there are 4 key components extracted: ¡uPerformance Expectancy¡v¡B¡uEffort Expectancy¡v¡B¡uSocial Influence¡v and¡uFacilitating Condition¡v;(2) ¡uPerformance Expectancy¡vand¡uEffort Expectancy¡v influence employee¡¦s behavior intention significantly .
That is, we can use the model to predict the network users¡¦ behavior onUsing WLAN. On the other hand, this study is also investigate the effect after implement WLAN and made the suggestions to development of Govermant or ISP suppliers in future.

The rapid development of the Internet and Wireless Local Area Network cause VoIP plays an important role among the emerging communication products. The purpose of this study is to explore the VoIP acceptance of the Internet user from the model of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT).
This study designed a questionnaire that regarded with the degree of the acceptance of VoIP according to the review of the literatures. After the research, this study indicates that there are three components that influenced the degree of acceptance of VoIP include perceived easy of use, performance expectancy and social influence and different factors under different demography significantly influence the intention of the user.
Related to these three components, this study first indicates that sex has a significant influence in the expectation of the achievement and the result shows that male is more significant than female. Second, age has no significant influence. Third, different education level has significant influence in the component of perceived easy of use, especially the user who has Master and PHD degree is more significant than the user only has graduated degree. Forth, different using experience and Voluntariness of Use have different significant influence among these three components.

Understanding the adoption of third-party online payment : An empirical study of user acceptance of Alipay in ChinaLin, Rui, Xie, Junsheng January 2014 (has links)
With the development of online shopping, the number of third-party online payment systems increases. Alipay is a commonly used third-party online payment system among Chinese consumers. The purpose of this study was to explore the factors that affect the users’ acceptance of Alipay among Chinese B2C customers. This study adopts a deductive, theory testing approach. Based on the model of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), a research model and hypotheses were proposed. A survey study was performed with a quota sample of 300 Chinese online shopping consumers. Based on the responses, the hypotheses were tested through statistical analysis. Through testing the hypotheses, it was concluded that: “Social Influence”, “Effort expectancy” were the factors that most prominently could affect B2C user’s acceptance of Alipay. Hence, third-party online systems suppliers should focus on social marketing and increasing the ease of use of the systems to increase user acceptance. Other similar third-party online payment company could take those identified factors as reference in further user acceptance study, and the proposed research model in this study could also help in improving understanding of user acceptance in similar third-part online payment system.

A study on Consumer¡¦s adoption of Mobile TVCheng, Huei-ying 30 August 2010 (has links)
Because of the popularity of the 3G mobile technology and the development of digital broadcasting technologies, the mobile television (TV) has become a potential killer application within the telecom industry. This research examines mobile user¡¦s intention to use and the use behavior of mobile TV. The theory underlying the study is the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) that takes performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating condition as independent factors and the intention and behavior of usage as dependent variables. Two online surveys were conducted to evaluate the theory. The result from the first survey shows that the performance expectancy, the effort expectancy and the social influence factors have significant influences on the mobile TV user¡¦s intention toward using mobile TV services. The facilitating condition has a positive significant relationship with the usage behavior. The result different from the previous studies is no significant relationship between the intention and use behavior. However, the follow-up survey conducted a year later shows that the facilitating condition and intension to use have positive significant impacts on the use behavior. This study can help firms to better understand the factors that affect the intention and behavior of using mobile TV.

Introduction: The Enterprise Resource Planning system is an emerging technology that belongs to the scientific discipline of information systems. In simple words the ERP system integrates an organization’s resources and also involves business processes and organiza-tional changes. With the ubiquitous growth of IS investment, ERP systems implementation grows strongly. More and more companies introduced ERP systems. However many ERP implementation success stays at technical perspective. Users’ acceptance of ERP system is the key to the ERP implementation. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate and research factors that have affected the end-users’ acceptance of the ERP system during post-implementation phase of the ERP implantation lifecycle. Method: In order to understand the ERP system acceptance in practices, this study will collect data from two Chinese companies. Employees from two Chinese companies will be selected as target group for user acceptance research. With the analysis of collected data, user acceptance of the ERP system in those two Chinese companies will be studied. Inter-views and questionnaire are used in this study. This study will interview with ERP export and generate the factors that could have possible affected users’ acceptance. Hypotheses will be deduced by those factors. Based on the primary data of questionnaires regression analysis is used to test those hypotheses to identify those factors. Results: Research results show the factors that influence end-user acceptance of the ERP system. The factors are: Business process adoption, ERP system performance, ERP com-munication, ERP functionality, Computer nervousness, Technological innovation, Social impact and support, ERP support. Organizations need to pay attention to those important factors in order to improve the ERP system acceptance among end-users.

Factors affecting a Mobile Application’s Acceptance : An empirical study of user acceptance of WeChat in ChinaZeng, Zili, Hu, Xin, Mei, Shuo January 2013 (has links)
Along with the development of smart phones and smart phones operating systems, users of smart phones are able to install software, games and other programs provided by third-party providers. WeChat as a third party software that exists in the current market, is an in-stant messaging application that enables users to send voice, video, pictures and text to their contacts through mobile network. Being a new application, the user acceptance of WeChat has not been studied. Therefore, the result of this study will be valuable to fill the knowledge gap about user acceptance study of this mobile application, and future development of other similar instant messaging mobile application could also benefit from this study. This study focuses on WeChat users and answers to the following research questions: 1. What are the factors that affect the users‘ acceptance of WeChat? 2. How could other competing instant messaging applications improve their user acceptance? The purpose of this study is to explain factors that affect the users‘ acceptance of WeChat among WeChat users who are studying in one specific school and working in one specific company. This study adopts a deductive, theory testing approach. The research model was proposed through literature review and expert interview, and six hypotheses were developed based on the research model. A survey was conducted subsequently to collect quantitative data. Hypotheses were tested through analyzing the quantitative data by using SPSS. Through testing the hypotheses, this study concluded that effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, cost and privacy are the factors that could affect user acceptance of WeChat. Other similar IM mobile applications could take those identified factors as reference in further user acceptance study, and the proposed research model in this study could also help in improving understanding of user acceptance in similar IM mobile application study.

potential and transitioning to more formal businesses. With this in mind, the South African
government recognizes that prioritized sectorial development is needed to stimulate growth
particularly in the micro-enterprise sector. Considering that evidence reveals growth and
development in small business practices being closely related to the use of different forms of
Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), if and when strategically applied. Therefore
recognizing the importance of ICTs the South African government has embarked on various
technology related initiatives to facilitate needed growth and development. Despite this,
entrepreneurs in the micro-enterprise sector demonstrate a low uptake of ICTs for their business
operations, including the use of mobile technologies which are the most common form of ICTs
available to micro- entrepreneurs.
Many previous studies have investigated the adoption and use of mobile technologies in the microenterprise sector, but despite this a low uptake of mobile technologies still exists. For this reason, this
study investigates and empirically determines the factors influencing the adoption and use of mobile
applications for micro-enterprise operations in South Africa, using the Unified Theory of Acceptance
and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model as a lens. The research population comprised a group of
micro-entrepreneurs who all are users of a common mobile application (mentorship-movement
application). The main aim of the investigation was to determine (i) the factors influencing the
adoption and use of mobile applications for micro- enterprise operation, (ii) if the experience gained
and their satisfaction associated with using the mentorship-movement application will influence their
behavioural intention to use other mobile applications for business.
The study was conducted objectively and used hypothesis testing as the means of investigation. Data
was collected through the use of a survey questionnaire. The findings of the study indicate that

performance expectancy and effort expectancy positively influences the micro-entrepreneurs
behavioural intention to adopt and use mobile applications for micro-enterprise operations. The
findings also observed that social influence has no impact on the micro- entrepreneurs’ behavioural

intention were found to positively influence the use behaviour of the micro-entrepreneurs when it
comes to adoption and use of mobile applications for business. Moreover, the findings confirmed

Applying the UTAUT Model to Understand Factors Affecting the Use of E-books in Fujian, ChinaLin, Chen January 2019 (has links)
With the advent of the digital age, e-book reading has become one of the popular reading methods, and has been a hot research topic. The attitudes to the use of new technology, use intentions and usage behaviours have attracted much attentions from scholars. In this context, it is worthwhile to study the user’s intention to use e-books and what factors influence it. Based on the UTAUT model and the previous research and literature, this study designed the research model and hypotheses that were consistent with the actual situations of this study, and conducted an empirical study of the user’s intention to use e-books. In this study, 320 valid samples were collected through an online questionnaire survey. Analysis of the collected data was performed using the SPSS and AMOS software to examine the research model and hypotheses and make corrections to them. It was found that the effort expectancy, facilitating conditions and individual innovation had significant influences on the use intention. The facilitating conditions had a significant influence on the effort expectancy. Moreover, the moderating effects of age, gender and education level were also found. However, the performance expectancy, social influence and perceived cost did not have a significant influence on the use intention. Finally, this thesis proposed suggestions on how to influence users’ intention to use e-books, i.e. paying attentions to users’ needs, improving the quality of e-books, optimising e-book functions, and broadening the channels for e-book promotion.

Yes / Which antecedents affect the adoption by users is still often a puzzle for policy-makers. Antecedents examined in this research include technological artefacts from the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), consumer context from UTAUT2 and psychological behaviour concepts such as citizens' channel preference
and product selection criteria. This research also investigated cultural domination on citizens' behavioural perception. The data for this study was collected among citizens from three countries: USA, Canada, and Bangladesh. The findings suggest that the UTAUT model could partially shape technology artefact behaviour and the extended UTAUT must consider specific determinants relevant to cognitive, affective, and conative or
behavioural aspects of citizens. The model helps policy-makers to develop mobile healthcare service system that will be better accepted. The finding also suggests that this mobile service system should reflect a country's cultural traits. These findings basically extend the theoretical concept of UTAUT model to articulate adoption behaviour of any complex and sensitive ICT related issues like mobile healthcare system.
