This guide instructs users step-by-step on how to set security controls, risk assessments, and administrative maintenance. Tardigrade 1.1.3 is a Risk Assessment Enterprise that evaluates the risk level of corporations and offers solutions to any security gaps within an organization. Tardigrade 1.1.3 is a role-based software that operates through three modules, Cybersecurity Assessment, Internal Control, and Security Requirement Traceability Matrix.

The use of new technologies is important in new product development and virtual reality is a technology that companies today are trying to find use for in their organizations. The problem present today is that there are tools ready to be used that are not because organizations are at different maturity levels of understanding how to work in virtual reality (VR). VR could not only make development cheaper but also greener. This thesis aims to bridge the gap within Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) to make the use of VR more present in product development. That is why the thesis crafted a startup guide on how to work with VR. The value of this is to inform all stakeholders within VCE of the value of VR at a basic level as a tool. The guide explains the benefits of virtual reality as well as a general step by stepguide on how to use it to replace some physical prototypes. It is targeted to project leaders and product developers.

[pt] Este estudo foi motivado pela utilização, ainda em caráter experimental, de um tradutor automático por uma empresa multinacional de localização de software. A fim de contribuir para essa iniciativa pioneira no país, propomos uma avaliação do programa, enfocando as implicações da utilização desta tecnologia no processo de localização de software. Empregamos a taxonomia proposta pelo FEMTI (Framework for the Evaluation of Machine Translation in ISLE), desenvolvida especialmente para a avaliação de tradução automática, com base nas normas ISO/IEC de qualidade de software. São considerados aspectos operacionais, como a integração do sistema de tradução automática às ferramentas de memória de tradução, bem como questões relacionadas à linguagem. O corpus utilizado para a avaliação foi um manual de usuário de um telefone celular. Além dos problemas lingüísticos recorrentes na maioria das ferramentas de tradução automática disponíveis atualmente, são analisados os desvios relacionados à tradução da interface com o usuário, mais especificamente aos menus do telefone celular. Esses desvios são discutidos dentro das categorias pertinentes da taxonomia do FEMTI e, sempre que possível, foram sugeridas soluções. Para complementar a análise lingüística, apresentamos outros três estudos realizados para o português. Nossos resultados indicam que o sistema pode ser bem-sucedido neste mercado em função principalmente da delimitação do domínio e da adoção dos procedimentos impostos pelo processo de localização. Esse sucesso depende da integração do tradutor automático às memórias de tradução e de investimentos relativamente pequenos na atualização dos recursos lingüísticos (regras gramaticais e dicionários) para refletir as características próprias do domínio e do tipo de texto. / [en] This study was motivated by the trial implementation of a machine translation engine by a multinational software localization company. In order to contribute to this innovative experiment in the Brazilian market, we evaluate the engine, focusing on the implications of its implementation in the software localization industry. We use the FEMTI (Framework for the Evaluation of Machine Translation in ISLE) taxonomy, which is based on the ISO/IEC guidelines for software evaluation. Operational aspects, such as the engine s integration with translation memory tools, are taken into consideration, as well as language issues. Our evaluation is based on the machine translated version of a mobile phone user guide. In addition to the language problems common to most machine translation engines currently available, we analyze issues related to the user interface, particularly to the phone menus. These problems are discussed as examples of each related FEMTI topic and we suggest solutions whenever possible. To add to our language evaluation, we present three other studies dedicated to Portuguese. Our results indicate the engine can be successful in this industry mainly in terms of domain restriction and localization workflow procedures. Its success depends on its integration to translation memory tools and requires relatively little investment in updating the language resources (rules and dictionaries) to reflect the language characteristics specific to domain and text type.

The system diagrams for the digital radio compatible with NASA's S-Band Space Network operating from 2025.8 - 2117.9 MHz (forward link) to 2200 - 2300 MHz (return link) are presented. The digital radio implementation includes binary phase shift keying (BPSK), quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) and staggered quadrature phase shift keying (SQPSK). We have derived the system requirements for these modulation schemes from the Space Network User Guide (SNUG) and thereafter, derived system diagrams for the communication links. The designed system diagrams for the transceiver were implemented using Simulink models and USRP2 platform.

In this manner, the user could accomplish correctly his functions. The focus of the research refrains from the user guide, whose objective is to transmit to the landed property s owner, in the instant of the key s delivery, the basics notions to the corrected use and maintenance of his propriety, assuring the durability, preventing damages from a bad use or the lack of conservation, and giving him a higher security and economy. For this valuation, the country s rules and legislation was analyzed, because now it claims the adoption of the manual, and norms and social behavior from other countries too, resulting in a consumer s defense movement. The work talks about constructive projects and processes used in the building sub sector and how the application of concepts and softwares can improve the satisfaction and the client s attending. The research presents too technical features like the retro alimentation and the as built project. The case study realized into this job, which consists in an interview accomplished with 11 engineers and 150 guide s users, reveals that, in spite of the consensus about the uses of the user guide, it further doesn t offers satisfactory and suitable information for it purposes. Rely on this data, the present work analyzes, comments and suggests modifications to the existents norms of the guide s elaboration serving. / Avaliando as diretrizes para formulação do manual de usuário de edificações existentes, esta investigação visa oferecer subsídios para a coleta e elaboração das informações que devem dele constar, para que cumpra, efetivamente, com o seu papel de orientar quanto ao uso e manutenção do imóvel. O foco desta pesquisa limita-se ao manual do usuário, cujo objetivo é o de transmitir, ao proprietário, as noções básicas para a correta utilização e manutenção da sua propriedade, assegurando a durabilidade, evitando e prevenindo danos decorrentes do mau uso ou falta de conservação, aumentando a segurança e a economia. Para tal avaliação, no decorrer desta dissertação foram analisadas as normas e a legislação vigente no País, que passaram a exigir a adoção do manual, bem como normas e comportamentos sociais de outros países, resultantes do movimento de defesa dos consumidores. O trabalho discorre sobre projetos e processos construtivos utilizados no subsetor da construção civil, bem como sobre a aplicação de conceitos e programas de qualidade e dos benefícios que podem ser deles extraídos para o melhor desempenho do produto no atendimento e satisfação do cliente. Apresenta ainda aspectos técnicos tais como retroalimentação e projeto as built . O estudo de caso realizado neste trabalho, que conta com uma análise de 11 manuais fornecidos por construtoras, bem como uma pesquisa realizada com 11 engenheiros que respondem por construtoras e 150 usuários de manual, revela que, apesar do consenso da importância do manual, este ainda não traz informações adequadas e satisfatórias para a sua finalidade, não atendendo plenamente aos requisitos necessários. Com base nestes dados, o presente trabalho analisa, comenta e fornece contribuições para as diretrizes existentes voltadas para a elaboração do manual.
