The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the level of comprehension of czech sentences with a different syntactic complexity in children with specific language impairment (SLI) and children at family risk for dyslexia (experimental groups) compared to typically developing peers (control group). Statistically significant differences were proven both between the SLI group and the family risk group and between the SLI group and control group. The assumed descending tendency of achievement in the test blocks was not substantiated.

Martin Vančura - Diplomová práce (2012) Evolution of phonological contrat in sibilants - typological analysis Abstract: The goal of this paper is to employ the paradigm of Greenbergian language typology to process diachronic data originating in the field of historical linguistics. In the first few chapters, I discuss both disciplines and identify some of the pitfalls of such an endeavour. The substance of this paper lies in chapter 4 where I try to demonstrate a real utilization of this diachronic typology on a specific set of data, represented by documented cases of the evolution of sibilants. Then I analyse the precise articulatory and evolutionary character of the sibilants in selected branches of the Indo- European language family and selected languages of the world and I attempt to uncover the common evolutionary tendencies of their sibilant systems. At the end of this chapter, I construct a map of sibilants' evolutionary trajectories and I propose some remarks on the general phonetics and phonology of sibilants.

Laboratory mouse is a appropriate experimental model for studies on normal tooth development mechanisms and for understanding of etio-pathogenesis of dental anomalies in humans. Mouse dentition consists of one incisor separated from three molars by toothless diastema in each jaw quadrant. Although an adult mice diastema does not contain teeth, rudimentary tooth primordia (MS, R2) appear here during embryonic development. However, their development stops and consequently functional tooth does not arise here. It is known that in mice with mutations in Spry2 and Spry4 genes, supernumerary teeth arise in antemolar region. The understanding of the temporo-spatial dynamics of signaling centers in Spry2/Spry4 double transgenic mice may help to elucidate the role of these embryonic diastemal buds in supernumerary tooth formation. The research of possible regeneration of dental anomalies in off-spring of crossing Spry4 deficient mice with supernumerary teeth formation with Eda deficient mice with predisposition to reduced dentition could be the way to elucidating of mechanism of dental pathologies development in general. Resume (AJ) The diploma thesis deals with the influences of sociocultural environment on the formation (shaping) of the music interests of pupils. Two factors influence the music development of children - inherited dispositions and abilities; and the influence of the environment. It is necessary to stimulate the development of abilities. Without this stimulation even the most talented child can't be successful. The first influential factor is a family, especially in the early child's years. Later on, it is a school and musically-educational process. Music interests are further formed by television and radio, the Internet, or friends and the environment where one moves. Nowadays, pupils have the opportunity to do various activities in their leisure time. They can attend different clubs and courses, learn English or another foreign language, get educated in music or another field, spend time chatting with their friends, playing computer games or watching films. How to provide pupils with being interested in music? At one time, Prof. Václav Holzknecht wrote that it is necessary to take care of transferring music towards people on time and suitably. Unlike many proprietary component systems, the academic ones do not have sufficient support in integrated development environments. This the- sis analyzes development of component-based applications in terms of the SOFA 2 component system and it finds out that the main issue is an in- sufficient connection between processes of common application design and creation of particular components. Based on this analysis, it defines a subset of the UML, a universal language for application design, and its semantics regarding entities of the SOFA 2 component system. Furthermore, it creates a tool integrated to the Eclipse IDE, which enables a developer to automat- ically generate these entities from a UML component model as well as to connect this model with already existing entities enabling their automatic correction in case of model changing. This tool is designed modularly so that it is possible to easily change semantics of the model or using it for other models. Finally, this thesis analyzes possibilities of extensions of this tool for other component systems, code generation and component behaviour verification.

The year of presentation: 2013 Abstract: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of status epilepticus (SE) in postnatal development early phase on laboratory rat psychomotor development. Experimentally caused (SE) is the most common mode of epileptogenesis, which is the process leading to the epilepsy creation, and typical comorbidities. The influence of the early SE was studied when using lithium/pilocarpine model of SE induced on 12 days old rat cubs, which were repeatedly exposed to the "open field" test until 32nd day of their lives that means until the puberty beginning. The evaluation is focused on cognition and overall locomotion changes and anxiety demonstrations. The results show that in short periods after SE (up to 1 month) the cognitive functions regarding the habituation disorder are not worsened. The aim of the present work is to develop a tool for identification of Motor Third Party Liability insurance contracts which are at risk of cancellation. Methods for explorative data analysis, building a logistic regression model, comparing models and their validation and calibration are presented. Several models are developed on the real dataset using mentioned methods and then the final one is chosen. Behavior of the final model is verified by the validation on the out-of-time sample. Last step is calibration of the model to the expected value of the future portfolio cancellation rate.

Diabetic embryopathy is one of many serious complications associated with diabetes. It is known that maternal diabetes increases the frequency of congenital defects up to ten times. The most common defects are cardiovascular and neural tube defects. Molecular mechanisms of diabetic embryopathy are still not known. This work contributes to elucidation of molecular processes leading to development of cardiovascular defects in diabetic embryopathy. This study is based on observation that maternal diabetes affects transcriptional regulation of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) in developing embryo. To study the influence of maternal diabetes on HIF-1 signaling pathway, we used mouse model heterozygous for "knock-out" of Hif1α gene. Our analyses showed the negative combinational effects of maternal diabetes and Hif1α+/- genotype on embryonic development and increased risk of diabetic embryopathy. Histological analysis demonstrated the increased incidence of cardiovascular defects, particularly defects of interventricular septum and hypoplastic compact left ventricular wall in embryonic day (E) 14.5 Hif1α+/- embryos compared to wt littermates from the diabetic pregnancy.
