Frequent floods of the Bečva River with increasingly more dramatic progress represent a growing threat to the region. The high cost of the solution is connected with it. This fact makes every reasonable individual think of how to prevent the floods or at least mitigate the effects on inhabitants´ lives, the regional economy and the natural environment. In 1997, there was almost no effective way to warn and protect inhabitants against the sudden arrival of flood waters. The absence of these measures kick-started changes in the field of crisis management. Although the floods of 2006 did not impact the area I am dealing with, they have definitely revealed the effectiveness and the positive trends of safety measures in population protection development. More dramatic flooding of the Becva River in 2010, tested the preparedness of not only the flood authorities, IZS (Emergency and Rescue Services), but practically all the region's inhabitants. The aim of this work is to discover if the 1997 floods started adequate flood control construction in the region, their current state and future plans. I would like to present and compare three of the most interesting studies concerning the Bečva river flood controls.

This thesis deals with the hydroecological monitoring and river restoration of the Syrovinka watercourse in Hodonín district. In the framework of the hydroecological monitoring a river hydromorphological assessment was conducted as a part of assessing the ecological status of watercourse, to meet the requirement of the Water Framework Directive. Hydroecological monitoring was conducted using methodology HEM 2014, which is accepted as a national standard by the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic. Problematic reaches of watercourse were determined and for the selected reach a river restoration measures have been designed. Subsequently, an efficiency of river restoration was evaluated. The main benefits of designed river restoration are the restoration of ecological function and the support of natural water retention in floodplain.

Zur Umsetzung der Ziele der EU-Wasserrahmenrichtlinie sind in Sachsen bis 2015 für Gewässereinzugsgebiete entsprechende Maßnahmen zur Erreichung bzw. Sicherung eines guten Gewässerzustandes durchzuführen. Für die hierzu erforderliche integrierte Planung und Entscheidungsfindung auf Einzugsgebietsebene stellen Entscheidungshilfesysteme den daran beteiligten Akteuren (Flächennutzer, -besitzer, Fachbehörden usw.) die technische Unterstützung bereit. Am Beispiel des überwiegend landwirtschaftlich genutzten Fließgewässereinzugsgebietes der Jahna (Sächsisches Lösshügelland) wurde ein Entscheidungshilfesystem entwickelt und erprobt. Es umfasst zum einen Werkzeuge zur Analyse der Belastungen der Oberflächengewässer und des Grundwassers durch Nährstoffaustrag (z.B. Modell Stoffbilanz) bzw. durch Wassererosion (Modell EROSION 3D). Zum anderen bietet das Entscheidungshilfesystem verschiedene Modelle und Verfahren an, mit deren Hilfe stoffaustragsmindernde landwirtschaftliche Maßnahmen ausgewählt und hinsichtlich ihrer Wirksamkeit abgeschätzt werden können. Ergänzend dazu wurde ein computergestützter Maßnahmenkatalog zur Unterstützung bei der Auswahl stoffaustragsmindernder Maßnahmen im Bereich Landwirtschaft erstellt. Die Priorisierung der verschiedenen Maßnahmenalternativen unter Berücksichtigung ökologischer und ökonomischer Ziele wurde beispielhaft mit Hilfe der Nutzwertanalyse durchgeführt.

This thesis deals with the problems associated with the revitalization of watercourses. For a processing of study watercourse revitalization was selected basin of Dobechov stream. The proposal of the measures should contribute to the improvement of the water regime and ecological stability in the area. The work contains theoretical and practical part. In theory, the reader finds the concepts associated with the adjustment of watercourses and revitalization measures, where they are individually described. In the practical part is characterized the area of interest with the proposal for the revitalization of the watercourse. Finally, it evaluated the current status of stream and benefits of the proposed measures. Part of the work is also a list of literature which was used, photographs of the area of interest and map outputs.

The thesis is focused on the issue of floods and the different types of flood protection measures that help to reduce human and material losses during floods. The thesis is divided into theoretical part where the basic concepts and possible solutions to flood control measures in the countryside and in the municipalities are defined. In the practical part there are described and assessed the examples of the flood protection measures in the selected locations. Individual measures are evaluated and compared with other flood control measures in different areas. The thesis also contains photographs depicting the true state of individual flood control measures in the area concerned, where some photographs show these measures also during floods.

This diploma thesis deals with problems connected with the revitalization of small watercourses in the urbanized landscape. For the study processing the brook Stoka stream was selected to proces the flow study. The study should contribute to improve water conditions and ecological stability in the area. The thesis contains a theoretical and practical part. This thesis deals with the addition of flood protection measures in the Salašský potok basin. Working closely related to the previous bachelor thesis on Flood protection in the Salašský potok basin. Detail deal with left tributary Salašky - Modranský potok -which runs through the town Modrá, to be occupied by 6 small cascade of water reservoirs. The work is divided into two parts. The first part describes the actual parameters of the tanks and their assessment of the possible spill-over and is solved their overall transformational effect in the basin. In the second part of the thesis dealt with the tank as a semi tank in response to N-leté water and searched their design parameters.

The population's aging phenomenon is no longer a new topic world wide. "The wlderly", as the term indicates, is labeled as one not obvious marginalized group. What I am trying to do is to explore a new life style for the elderly to have fun, freedom, social connections and get the help they need properly in the center of Stockholm. At the same time, this project also has symbolic meaning that the city refill the lost attention of the elderly.

Thesis title: Legal regulation of watercourse protection Abstract Watercourses are the most important form of surface water occurrence in the Czech Republic, and therefore their condition also significantly affects the overall state of all our aquatic ecosystems. Despite of it, the ecological and chemical status of watercourses is still not satisfying. This fact requires an increase in the efficiency and complexity of their legal protection, which is the subject of this thesis. The aim of the first part of this thesis is to describe the national legal regulation of watercourses protection in the context of European and international law. At present, national and international legislation is significantly influenced by European legislation provided by the Water Framework Directive. The first part pays attention to the instruments of national legislation, that are relevant to the second part of the work. The first aim of the second part of this thesis is to analyse the basic measures proposed in the two selected sub-basins in order to achieve the objectives of the Water Framework Directive, particularly the good water status.
