Google Glass : A backend support for Google Glass

Hoorn, Richard January 2015 (has links)
This dissertation describes a project to create a prototype application for Google Glass, where the purpose is to help assembly line industries by allowing workers to see instructionsvisually while working with both hands free. This solves the problem of requiringan instruction manual since instead all instructions will be stored in a database. GoogleGlass retrieves and displays the information for the user after scanning a QR-code forthe product which is going to be assembled. An important aspect is to see if such a systemis powerful enough for industries to start working with Google Glass. This conceptwas developed into a working prototype system, where Google Glass can retrieve data byscanning a QR-code that contains information about a specific product. This informationwill give a step by step instruction on which components the product contains and theinstructions for assembling them. The results presented in this dissertation shows thatGoogle Glass is not suited for the industry at its current state.

Wilhelmsson, Joakim January 2017 (has links)
Today paper and pen is most often used to conduct an exam. The digitalisation in our society has opened up for many new opportunities, and universities can be better at utilizing these. Digital examination is something that can simplify both for the students that are taking the exam, and also for the people that manages administration. There are both technical opportunities and difficulties regarding digital examination. esTracer is a web-based e-learning system that has been developed by Entergate AB. Entergate now wishes to offer colleges and universities an opportunity for digital examination. To do this, an application shall be developed for Android and iOS that can be used on tablets to conduct exams. The application shall be integrated with esTracer through a Web API. Creation and administration of exams, questions and participants shall be done with existing functionality in esTracer. The exam shall be possible to do in the application for Android and iOS in a safe way, and the users should be able to use their own devices. The results from an exam shall be possible to view in esTracer by an administrator. This report is about the development of the application, and also the further development of esTracer Web API, and the integration between the application and esTracer. The report describes relevant background and theories, which methods that was chosen to complete the task, and also the result and the analysis of this. The result is an application that can be used on tablets with Android or iOS. The application can be used to conduct exams in a safe way, and it has been integrated with esTracer through further development of a Web API. The project shows a technical solution for digital examination.

Implementering av ett bokningssystem med Google Calendar / Implementation of a Booking System with Google Calendar

Blom, Oskar, Kovan, Novan January 2014 (has links)
This report describes the implementation of a booking system with the integration of Google Calendar API. The objective was primarily to evaluate the potential of a booking system where Google Calendar was used as schedules for staff. The project could also be used as a base system for customizing booking systems for different business models. The final system consisted of a website for making appointments, a Web API for communicating with the website, integration of Google Calendar API to retrieve and add appointments to the schedules of the staff and storing data in a database.

Månsson, Anton January 2017 (has links)
Web applications and APIs have become more popular every year, and security risks haveincreased. Along with more security risks and the large amount of sensitive informationshared on web applications today, the problem grows. I therefore wanted to explore morein security deficiencies to increase my own knowledge and others in the field. To do that,a web application was developed and a survey was made of what security threats existtoday and what solutions they have. Some of the solutions encountered during theinvestigation were then implemented and tested in the web application. The result showedsome general solutions such as validation, which was a solution to a number of threats. The investigation also showed that security is not black and white and that it is possibleto implement actions but attackers can still find ways to attack systems.

Webový portál pro sledování činností a cílů projektů / Web Portal for Project Milestones and Goal Tracking

Maliňák, Václav January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this theses is a creation of a project and goal managing system with effective user interface. The modern goal setting is the base of defined user interface. A substantial proportion of the theses deals with gamification, which encourages the users to use the system and motivates them to reach the predefined goals and fulfil the projects. Theoretical knowledge of goals settings and project managing serves as a base for the whole concept of the system and for a creation of the actual gamification engine. A web-based application utilizing implemented components was created with the system. An essential part of the theses is a formulation of hypotheses and their verification by testing.

Automatické zjištování rozměrových změn betonových směsí při tuhnutí / Automatic determination of dimensional changes of concrete mixtures during solidification

Hortvík, Martin January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of a desktop application designed to determine the dimensional changes of concrete mixtures during solidification. The work includes implementation of the server portal for real-time data evaluation. The introductory part deals with the analysis of the measurement task and the original solution, as well as the specification of the new application and its deployment in real operation. The next part of the thesis describes current software technologies used in the development of desktop and server applications. The design and implementation of both parts of the solution is a major part of the work. In the last part, the real-time functionality test of the application is presented.

Detekce metod zjišťujících otisk prohlížeče / Browser Fingerprinting Detection

Saloň, Marek January 2021 (has links)
The main goal of this thesis is to design and implement a mechanism that provides protection against stateless tracking with browser fingerprint. Implemented tool has a form of module that takes part of JavaScript Restrictor extension. The module allows to specify heuristics used for evaluation of visited sites that may contain browser fingerprint extraction. If suspicious activity is detected, all subsequent HTTP requests from that site are blocked to prevent the extracted fingerprint from being sent to the server. The implementation and defined heuristics were tested. The resulting module represents an effective tool against stateless tracking. The main limitation of the implementation is possible corruption of sites by blocking HTTP requests.
