Dělnická strana sociální spravedlnosti / Worker's Party of Social Justice

Háka, Antonín January 2014 (has links)
The Worker´s Party of Social Justice is the most significant far right party in the Czech Republic. This work deals with its ideological basis while emphasis is placed on the conception of nation and the attitude towards the political systém and a charakterization of its development too. The first two chapters focus on the analysis of the predecessor: the Worker's Party which in its third phase adopted the German national socialism from the National Democratic Party of Germany. Within the new approach it adopted the notion of white Europeanism which is a contemporaty Aryan rase. The second two chapters contain the analyses of ideological postulates of the Worker's Party of Social Justice which continues to co-operate with the National Democratic Party of Gemany and to adopt its attitudes and strategy. The basis of identity of the Worker's Party of Social Justice is white Europeanism which is common for all native European nations. Incompatibility of some of its attitudes with the values of representative democracy makes it an anti-system party.

Crise da dívida durante a ditadura militar na imprensa alternativa: uma análise do Jornal O Trabalho entre 1978 e 1985 / Debt Crisis during the Military dictatorship in Alternative Press: An analysis of O Trabalho Newspaper between 1978 to 1985

Cupolillo, Luã de Campos 27 November 2018 (has links)
This dissertation was based on a documentary research composed of the first 250 editions of the Newspaper O Trabalho, a Newspaper of the alternative press, published by the Socialist Internationalist Organization of Trotskyst tradition, founded on May 1, 1978, and aims to Synthesize and Analyze publications and elaborations of this newspaper on the issue of the Foreign Debt in Brazil during the period that includes the date of the foundation of the Newspaper until the end of the Brazilian military dictatorship in 1985. As it is a Newspaper that was directly connected to the foundation of the Workers Party (Partido dos Trabalhores PT) this work also seeks to analyze the history of the organization that founded the Newspaper, how the Newspaper was elaborated, how it worked and how this organization was related to the foundation of PT Itself, one of the most important organizations fighting for the end of the Military Dictatorship in Brazil. An analysis of the trajectory of the Brazilian external debt is made to contextualize the Debt role in the 1970s and the 1980s and how this Newspapper approach this issue. The ressearch allows to understand the elaboration of a Trotskyst organization about the External Debt, and based on theoretical trotskyst tradition understand the role attributed to the External Debt in the Country\'s development, as well the role that PT attributed to this issue to guide political action in the final years of the military regime.

January 2009 (has links)
Abstract:This present dissertation aims to discuss about the Metamorphosis of the Politic Activities of the Worker's Party (PT), during the period of 1987 to 1991. It is an inquiry into the politics conjuncture from the 80's until the beginning of the 90's, analyzing the political behavior of the parties, especially PT's. The dissertation also considers and analyzes the actions taken in the Worker's Party internal trends, the partisanships and the definition of its identity. For the studies development, it was necessary to compile official documents from the delimited period of time, as well as essays published in periodicals, magazines, newspapers and thesis, which are varied due to the election of the leader of the PT, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in 2002, for the President of the Republic. PT finally reaches the power after twenty two years of existence. The research discuss that the PT since 1987, year of its 5° National Meeting, assures the institutional fight, abandoning the Marxism and leaving aside the popular claims, which until that date had always been supported by the party's decisions, also influenced by the Marxist-Leninist organizations and by the Trotskyism tradition. The dissertation concludes that PT's institutional preference is a result of the transformations occurred nationally and internationally, including the fall of Berlin's wall and the end of the "real socialism". Furthermore, the introduction of the neoliberals made PT assume a new kind of organization. / Mestre

Abstract: This thesis examines the racial matter incorporation and politicization by and in Partido dos Trabalhadores since its foundation in 1980 until 2003, when PT rises to federal government. The analysis develops itself regarding two processes, one of them is internal to the party: the modifications on the party project from 1980 to 1990 decades and the advances in the debate regarding the racial relations in Brazilian society after the Abolition Centenary in 1988, the march to Brasília in 1995 and the Durban Conference in 2001. We have used, as analysis material, the party official documents and specific documents from PT racism combat sector, as well as interviews with party (PT) black militants. We have verified the party made only a few advances regarding the subject in 1980 and 1990 decades and the construction of spaces for the racial matter, in Lula's government, results from the visibility this subject have gained in society with Durban Conference. / Doutorado / Doutor em Sociologia

The Nexus between the Ballot and Bullet: Popular Support for the PKK and Post-election Violence in Turkey

Gergin, Nadir 18 May 2010 (has links)
This study examines the relationship between popular support for the Kurdish Worker’s Party (PKK), which is an ethnic insurgent and terrorist organization mainly operating in Turkey, and its terrorist activities during the pre-and post-election periods in Turkey . Popular support has been measured through popular votes for the political party affiliated with the PKK in 1999 general, 2004 local and 2007 general elections. Two leading theories of social movements, Resource Mobilization Theory (RMT) and Relative Deprivation Theory (RD), were used as theoretical approach. The study uses secondary data and constructs a longitudinal design. An advanced statistical analysis technique, a generalized hierarchical linear model: time nested within subjects (or GHLM repeated measures) was employed in this study. Findings indicate that popular support is positively related to terrorist attacks of the PKK in Turkey. More popular support for the insurgent leads to more terrorist attacks. Furthermore, terrorist attacks gradually increased over the pre-election period of general elections. However, terrorist attacks abruptly increased upon the election but then subsequent terrorist attacks decline over the post-election periods.

This research aims to understand how the thinking about international issues developed by Brazilian Workers' Party (PT) has impacted the foreign policy of Lula da Silva government (2003-2010). Documentary productions resulting from the National Conventions, Meetings and Presidential Campaigns produced by the party itself between 1979 and 2017 are used to analyze the evolving discussions on international thematic. An overview of evolving PT's programmatic bases is presented annually through reviews, evidencing a process of identity change that took place during the 1990s and culminating in the early 2000s. This change represents the rise of a new agenda around the leadership of Lula da Silva: the lulismo. The agenda of this internal trend takes a majority position in the board of the party. After winning the Presidency in 2002, this influence is perceived on the government’s foreign policy performance. By assertive action and constraints of different shades raise the country to a certain international and regional projection. The integration project in South America becomes a territory in the dispute between two models: lulismo and bolivarianismo. Situational factors give greater space to the Brazilian performance in the region. The country adopts a moderate and conciliatory stance in the South American subcontinent, while expressing a reformist stance on the international plane. In this environment, the initiatives for the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) and the South American Defense Council (SADC), both in 2008, are proposed. By the importance of these organizations for South American integration, we analyze the impact of disputes between the different political projects for the region and the foreign policy adopted by Lula government in defense integration. It is concluded that the regional dispute dynamics has boosted integration initiatives, playing an important role in the consolidation of a space to dialogue and consultation, represented by these bodies. Brazil stands out as a central figure in this process, for the moderating and pragmatic position it adopted and for the internal political project it developed. Pravda, Petr January 2015 (has links)
This thesis concerns the Czechoslovak Social Democracy in the 1930's and 1940's. Its aim is to investigate whether the Social Democratic Party in the Third Republic moved from a mass party towards being a catch-all party. It investigates whether the move was in line with Otto Kirchheimer's theory. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is theoretically orientated. It analyzes how and why there was a move from a mass party towards a catch-all party. It also contains in which areas the change occured and how it occured. The second part focuses on whether the Social Democratic Party in the First Republic can be considered in the typology of political parties as a mass party. There is a conclusion that we can call it a mass party. The third part analyzes if the Social Democratic Party in the Third Republic moved from being a mass party to a catch-all party. Dytrych, Martin January 2013 (has links)
The Diploma thesis focuses on youth structures that profess to the largest far-right and far-left parties representatives in the Czech Republic. In the far-right milieu it is the Worker's Party Youth, who are closely associated with the Worker's party of Social Justice. On the far-left side of the spektrum, there are formally two entities, that profess to the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia: the Communist Youth Union and the Union of Young Communists of Czechoslovakia. The aim of this thesis is to clarify the extent of real interdependence of these civic associations with a political party, and on the other side, to examine their political extremism level, both in theory and also in the terms of security forces. The thesis further explores to what extent, therefore, these entities are a real threat to the existing democratic system in the Czech Republic.
