Orientador: Gilberto Figueiredo Martins / Banca: José Carlos Zamboni / Banca: Sônia Aparecida Vido Pascolati / Resumo: O dramaturgo gaúcho Jose Joaquim de Campos Leão (1829-1883), auto-intitulado Qorpo-Santo, possui uma obra complexa que chegou ao conhecimento da critica e do púbico em 1966, cem anos depois de serem escritas. Por conta de tal fato, são poucos os trabalhos teóricos acerca de sua dramaturgia, dentre os quais podemos citar Os homens precários, de Flávio Aguiar e Qorpo-Santo: surrealismo ou absurdo?¸ de Eudinyr Fraga. É no esforço de acrescentar material à fortuna crítica do autor que esse trabalho é desenvolvido, tomando como eixo um aspecto reincidente em sua obra: o tema das dicotomias, cisões e conflitos, aqui agrupados sob o termo desdobramento. O topos do desdobramento manifesta-se tanto no desenvolvimento das personae dramáticas, quanto nas suas ações e, ainda, na estrutura das comédias (enredo, cenário etc.), caracterizada pelas intervenções do nonsense nas instâncias do cotidiano. Desse modo, o desdobramento oferece uma chave de leitura eficiente da dramaturgia do autor, que permite a decifração de muitas das peculiaridades que compõem o universo cômico de suas peças / Abstract: The southern dramaturgist José Joaquim de Campos Leão (1829-1883), selfnamed Qorpo-Santo, has a complex oeuvre that became known to the public in 1966, one hundred years after being written. So, there are few of studies on his dramaturgy, among it we can mention Flávio Aguiar's Os homens precarious and Eudinyr Fraga's Qorpo-Santo: surrealism ou absurdo? In the effort to increase the criticism on Qorpo- Santo's oeuvre that this study we choose the axis of an important aspect of his oeuvre - the motif of dichotomies, separations and conflicts - here named deployment. The topoi of deployment are showing in development of dramatic personae, her actions, and in structure of Qorpo-Santo's comedies (in plots, sceneries, etc.). This motif is characterized by the interventions of the nonsense in daily world. In our study, we make an analysis of some plays of Qorpo-Santo under the perspective of the deployment, and the characters are the focus of our considerations, because the dramatic figures are the axis of the structure of the comic universe of Qopro-Santo. Thus, the deployment offers an efficient key of lecture of the Qorpo- Santo's oeuvre, which permits the interpretation of many particularities of the comic universe of Qorpo-Santo's plays / Mestre

Orientador: Carlos Alberto Sampaio Barbosa / Banca: José Luis Bendicho Beired / Banca: Célia Reis Camargo / Banca: Maria Ligia Coelho Prado / Banca: Stella Maris Scatena Franco Vilardaga / Resumo: Esta tese procura refletir sobre a coleção Las Mujeres Españolas, Portuguesas y Americanas, publicação composta por três volumes de textos abordando espaços territoriais na Espanha, América e Portugal e por litografias - comercializadas em separado -, produzida no decorrer da década de 1870 na Espanha, e que fez uso da simbologia feminina para representar tais espaços. Essa obra constitui-se, ao mesmo tempo, em fonte e objeto desta pesquisa. Neste estudo, parte-se da hipótese de que essa coleção possui um sentido político e configura-se em produção material que constrói uma representação simbólica das características nacionais espanholas, elaborando um discurso sobre si, perceptível no conjunto de sua concepção, produção e composição. Foi produzida na segunda metade dos oitocentos, sob a raiz do movimento romântico e moldada pela estética costumbrista - gênero que se destacou por descrever tipos sociais, hábitos, costumes e tradições. Sobre a temática feminina, partiu-se do pressuposto de que imagens idealizadas de mulheres foram utilizadas para tocar os imaginários sociais pelo que representavam - amor, submissão, honra, fecundidade, educação, abnegação - e também como símbolos dos novos tipos sociais que surgiam em cena nos espaços nacionais que se configuravam perante as transformações européias. O hispanismo, discurso ideológico pautado nas experiências comuns e espírito espanhol, permeou toda a coleção, e este trabalho sustenta a hipótese de que não só referendou, mas construiu e disseminou esse ideário. Por fim, defendeu-se que tanto a linguagem textual como a iconográfica localizaram e salientaram elementos formadores das sociedades espanholas, revelando origens, tradição, peculiaridades e singularidades desses povos - sob o signo feminino - que remetiam à problemática do caráter nacional espanhol. / Abstract: This proposition tries to disclose on the collection Las Mujeres Españolas, Portuguesas y Americanas, a publication composed by three tomes of texts which discuss the territorial spaces in Spain, America and Portugal and by lithographs - separately sold -, produced in Spain during the 1870 decade, using the feminine symbology to represent those spaces. This work consists of, at the same time, origin and object of this research. This treatise starts with the hypothesis that this collection has a political meaning and happens to have a material production which builds a symbolical representation of the Spanish national characteristics, elaborating a "self-speech" about itself, perceptible on the entirety of its conception, production and composition. It was introduced on the second half of the XVIII century, under the roots of the Romanticism and molded by the costumbrista esthetics - gender that distinguished itself by describing the social models, habits, uses and traditions. From the feminine themes, the treatise starts from the pretext that the use of idealized images of women were used to reach the social imaginary of what they represented - love, submission, honor, fecundity, education, self-denial - and also as symbols of the new social types that emerged in the national spaces that appeared in the face of the European transformations. The hispanism, ideological speech based on the common experiences and on the Spanish spirits, pierced all the collection, and this treatise supports the hypothesis that it not only countersigned, but built and spread this ideas. And, last but not least, defended that both textual language and iconography placed and emphasized the elements which built the Spanish societies, revealing origins, tradition, peculiarities and singularities of this people - under the feminine sign- that alluded to the a set of problems of the Spanish national character. / Doutor

Seu conteúdo dava um panorama cultural da Europa para a elite carioca. Além de notícias sobre aquele momento histórico, o Suplemento trazia, ainda, crônicas queirosianas e textos de escritores como Jaime Batalha Reis, Domício da Gama e do diretor da Gazeta, Ferreira de Araújo. A partir deste estudo, notou-se que o Suplemento entrelaçava duas realidades: a européia, com sua sociedade em um momento posterior à revolução científico-tecnológica de 1870, e a brasileira, especialmente a carioca, a qual passava por um importante momento de transformação, em decorrência da proclamação da República. Por isso, no primeiro capítulo, fez-se uma contextualização da Europa e também do Brasil. O segundo capítulo, por sua vez, traz uma pequena descrição desse periódico e imagens dos exemplares. Já no terceiro e último capítulo, fez-se uma análise de cada uma das seções que compunham o Suplemento Literário e mostrou-se, sucintamente, quais eram os colaboradores que dele participavam. O corpus, digitado e digitalizado durante a pesquisa, aparece neste trabalho como anexo. Efetuou-se a composição de fichas catalográficas ou fichas-resumo, para que se facilitasse o acesso aos artigos que compõem o Suplemento Literário de Eça de Queirós. Ao longo do estudo do Suplemento (18 de janeiro, 08 de fevereiro, 29 de fevereiro, 26 de março, 21 de abril e 13 de junho), trabalhou-se com as fontes primárias... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This dissertation has as main objective study the six numbers of Suplemento Literário, under the direction of Eça de Queirós, published by Gazeta de Notícias , a Rio de Janeiro's periodical in 1892. It presented Europe's cultural panorama to Rio de Janeiro's high society. Besides news of that historical moment, the Suplemento also contained Eça's chronicles and texts of writers as Jaime Batalha Reis, Domício da Gama and the director of the Gazeta, Ferreira de Araújo. With this study, we noticed that the Supplement interlaced two realities: the European, with it's society at a subsequent moment to the scientific revolution, and the Brazilian, especially from Rio de Janeiro, which lived an important moment of changes, caused by the announcement of the Republic. Therefore, the first chapter consists in a contextualization of Europe and Brazil. The second chapter contains a small description of these periodic and images of it's prints. The third and last chapter, contains an analysis of each one of the sections that composed the Suplemento Literário and reveals, briefly, who were the writers who collaborated with it. The corpus studied, typed and digitalized during the research, appears in this work as an anexus. Catalographic registers were also composed, so that the access to the articles that formed the Suplemento Literário of Eça de Queirós was facilitated. Throughout the study of the Suplemento, (January 18, February 08, February 29, March 26, April 21 and June 13) the primary sources were studied, in microfilms, filed at the Centro de Documentação e Apoio à Pesquisa (CEDAP) at FCL-UNESPAssis.
