Det finns en risk för att producenter av audiovisuellt material förringar betydelsen av den audiella delen till förmån för den visuella. Sonnenheim och Pauletto (2014) menar att det audiella materialet är av minst lika stor vikt som det visuella när det kommer till hur bra det audiovisuella materialet blir. De hävdar att det finns fyra ljudelement som måste vara i balans, det vill säga förekomma i ungefär samma utsträckning, för att materialet skall bli framgångsrikt. Dessa ljudelement är det logiska, abstrakta, temporala och spatiala. Syftet med denna uppsats är att utifrån en, hos den lyssnande åhörarens identifierade och väckta känsla, undersöka vilka ljud som väckte känslorna och vilka olika ljudelement som existerar i två scener av Netflixserien Dark. Vidare är syftet också att kartlägga om dessa var i balans. Sonneheim och Paulettos teori låg till grund för metoden och analysen av resultatet. Resultatet visade att specifika känslor väcktes och att ljudelementen i de två scenerna var i balans vilket delvis kan förklara varför serien blivit så populär hos Netflix-publiken. / There is a risk that producers of audiovisual material may neglect the importance of audial components in favor of the visual. Sonnenheim and Pauletto (2014) argue that the audial material is at least as important as the visual when it comes to how succesful the audiovisual material becomes. They claim that there are four sound elements that must be in balance for success to happen. These audio elements are the logical, abstract, temporal and spatial. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the sounds that evoked the emotions and the different sound elements that existed in two scenes of the Netflix series Dark, based on the experience of the listening viewer. Furthermore, the purpose was to determine whether these sound elements were in balance (in this case, occurring to the same extent in the scenes). Hillman and Pauletto's theory formed the basis of the method and the analysis of the results. The results showed that specific emotions were evoked and that the sound areas in the two scenes were in balance, which could partly explain why the series has become so popular with the Netflix-audience.
