I-Robot : Konfigurationsmöjligheter för robotrådgivare

Haglund, Linus, Bulakvo, Jarik January 2018 (has links)

The customer is king : mutual fund relationships and analyst recommendations

LIU, Ping 01 January 2009 (has links)
I investigate whether the business relations between mutual funds and brokerage firms influence sell-side analyst coverage and recommendations. Using a comprehensive sample of analyst recommendations in China over the 2004-2008 period, I find that the likelihood of analyst coverage and analysts’ relative recommendations, benchmarked against consensus recommendations, are positively associated with the mutual fund business relationship. I measure the business relation by the weight of a stock in the mutual fund client’s portfolio and the commission revenue generated from the mutual fund clients. My results show that mutual funds take advantage of these optimistic recommendations by selling the stocks. I also find evidence that analysts employed in politically connected brokerage firms inflate their recommendations on state-controlled listed enterprises. Lastly, I examine the short-term and long-term investment returns from a strategy that follows the analyst recommendations. In the short-term, I find positive stock returns, which benefit the client mutual funds. However, I also find evidence that investors recognize the conflict of interest and caps the stock price increases. In the longer-term, the strong buy and buy recommendations yield zero or negative stock returns.

How curriculum advisors and school management teams communicate curriculum changes in schools

Rasebotsa, Daniel January 2017 (has links)
In South African schools and in other schooling systems, curriculum implementation and management poses a challenge. The purpose of this qualitative case study located within an interpretive paradigm was to explore how curriculum advisors and School Management Teams (SMTs) communicate curriculum changes to schools in the Gauteng North District in Gauteng Province. Purposive sampling was employed to select twelve participants: four curriculum advisors and eight SMT members from two primary schools. Data were collected by means of semi-structured interviews. The findings of this study show that while communication occurs between curriculum advisors and SMTs, there are certain challenges. These include lack of clarity on what needs to be changed, poor planning and time management, lack of coordination in communicating the changes and communication barriers related to the use of written messages. It was evident that implementation of curriculum changes requires supportive and open communication between the curriculum advisors, SMTs and other educators. Strategies for enhancing communication comprise planning for change, effective communication and the provision of feedback to confirm that messages are interpreted as intended. It was therefore recommended that adequate time be given to communicate the changes, communication be planned and coordinated to reduce conflict of activities and clear communication channels, trusting relationships and open lines of communication that include the use of technology be established. / Dissertation (MEd)--University of Pretoria, 2017. / Education Management and Policy Studies / MEd / Unrestricted

Exploring the Influencing Factors on the Adoption of Robo-Advisors among Young Adults in Sweden

Mahmutovic, Amanda January 2024 (has links)
This study examines the influencing factors of robo-adoption among young adults in Sweden based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). The objectives are also to examine what factors are influential based on the emotional intelligence of young adults and whether or not they possess a financial education. The study is conducted via a survey which was mainly distributed to students in business administration and economics at Linnaeus University during a six-week period. In total, 84 responses were collected, and 78 were used for further analysis via PLS-SEM. The results indicate that the perceived ease of use along with the perceived usefulness were the most influential factors of technology acceptance. The results also suggest that the human aspect of financial advisory is still important, however mitigated by the trust in the robo-advisor. This result was especially evident for individuals with higher emotional intelligence and no financial education. Lastly, the study concludes that the slow adoption rate of robo-advisors in Sweden could be attributable to the lack of capabilities of the robo-advisors on the Swedish market.
