Skirtingų medžių rūšių įtaka parko medynų dirvožemiui / Influence of different park tree spacies on soil

Pagojus, Audrius 16 June 2014 (has links)
Baigiamajame darbe tiriama, kokią įtaką daro skirtingos medžių rūšys dirvožemio rūgštingumui. Darbo objektas – ASU medynų parkas. Darbo tikslas - Šio tyrimo tikslas yra nustatyti, kaip skirtingos medžių rūšys pakeitė dirvožemio pH reakciją medynuose, kuriuose medžiai auga 50 – 56 metus. Darbo metodai – skirtinguose dirvožemio gyliuose pH reakcijos nustatymas lauko ir laboratorijos sąlygomis, karbonatų putojimo gylio nustatymas lauko sąlygomis. Darbo rezultatai. Visi kiti medynai suformavo daug mažesnes paklotes. Dirvožemio rūgštingumo didinime nerasta ryšio nei tarp svetimkraščių bei vietinių medžių rūšių, nei tarp lapuočių bei spygliuočių. / Subject of the research – This thesis was started in order to investigate what influence on soil acidity has different tree species. Investigation was held in the stand park belonging to Aleksandras Stulginskis University. Aim of the research - Thesis aims to investigate how different tree species has changed soil pH reaction in stands of 50 – 56 years old. Methodology – pH reaction's identification in out doors and lab conditions in different depth levels of soil, depth identification of carbonate foaming in out door conditions. Results. The investigation revealed that soil pH is mostly depending on growing tree species. Using pH meter it was estimated that soil reaction under half of the stands was more alkaline than in grasslands. A reaction in H2O and CaCl2 solutions was found to be acid, however not in all samples. In H2O solution reaction was alkaline for pine (Pinus Sylvestris) while neutral for birch (Betula pubescens) and lime tree (Tilia cordata) stands soils. The thickest litter and biggest mass of litter fall was formed under hybrid larch stands. Other stands formed much lower litter, therefore it could not be stated that litter fall of all tree species has impact on soil acidity. There was found no correlation in increasing soils’ acidity between native and introduced tree species as well as broadleaves and coniferous.

Soukromoprávní aspekty českého cizineckého práva / Private-law aspects of czech alien law

Červená, Věra January 2013 (has links)
Private-Law Aspects of Czech Alien Law This thesis is dedicated to Czech alien law regulations in the context of their private law aspects. Alien law is a set of legal norms concerning the legal status of foreign citizens in a territory of a certain state. In general, it is understood as different treatment of aliens than the citizens of that state, a possibility of such treatment, or providing certain advantages to the foreigners. The foundation of this work is a detailed analysis of the material status of foreigners in the scope of their individual and property rights, including a foreigner as a party to a civil suit. Main focus of the thesis is on the description of individual institution and law principles regarding international private and procedural law, taking into account a future regulation from a new norm in international private law. In particular, emphasis is put on an analysis of equal treatment of foreigners, possibilities of refusal of such treatment, principles of reciprocity in the formal and material sense, conditions of the foreigner's claim to be relieved from judicial fees, eligibility of the foreigner as a party to a suit, etc. Special focus has been given to the matters closely related to alien law, such as the definition of an alien, dual citizenship, habitual residence etc....

Vektory, šíření a genetická variabilita patogenu račího moru v oblastech, kam byl zavlečen / The crayfish plague pathogen Aphanomyces astaci in its introduced ranges: vectors, introduction pathways, genetic variation and host-pathogen interactions

Mrugała, Agata January 2016 (has links)
- ABSTRACT - The crayfish plague pathogen, Aphanomyces astaci, is responsible for substantial declines and local extinctions of native European crayfish populations. As a consequence, the pathogen is now listed among 100 world's worst invasive alien species. The spread of A. astaci is greatly facilitated by its natural hosts, North American crayfish, that thanks to a long co-evolutionary history with the crayfish plague pathogen evolved efficient defence mechanisms. In contrast, European, Australian and Asian crayfish species are highly susceptible to this disease agent. However, progress of A. astaci infection in native European crayfish was observed to differ between distinct pathogen strains, indicating variability in their virulence. Indeed, we demonstrated a relationship between patterns in crayfish immune response and A. astaci virulence in an experimental infection involving the European noble crayfish and three differently virulent crayfish plague strains. The European continent is currently inhabited by at least eight North American crayfish species. The carrier status was confirmed in six of them, including also Orconectes cf. virilis occurring in the Netherlands and the UK. In this country, we detected Aphanomyces astaci presence in some populations of the non-indigenous crayfish species as well...

G.fast is the most recent ITU-T standard for DSL transmission, which targets copper topologies with short distances and adopts a bandwidth of 106 MHz extensible to 212 MHz. In several situations, G.fast systems will be composed by or coexist with uncoordinated (or alien) lines, which are sources of strong crosstalk, because these lines are not part of the vectored group. This document presents a formulation to explain the performance of the alien crosstalk mitigation methods according to the number of alien lines in a certain environment, the mechanism that de nes the interference correlation of it and an alien crosstalk mitigation method for downstream DSL transmission impaired by multiple interferers called AMMIS. Simulation results show that alien crosstalk mitigation methods found in the literature can indeed improve the performance of G.fast systems, but only under speci c conditions. We have contrasted these situations and we provide guidelines about the feasibility of the crosstalk mitigation techniques in scenarios with distinct number of alien lines. Additionally, the AMMIS shows promising results in relation to the bit rate when compared with literature methods in scenarios with a large number of interferers, with the additional advantage of allows power savings. As support for the simulations, we also present a set of alien crosstalk measurements.

Set techniques to accurately map the occurrence of invasive species facilitates the understanding of its occurrence, dominance and preferred habitats. Produce detailed maps with associated tools in a Geographic Information System - GIS can help and reduce working time to map and point out the decision-making with a view to preparing studies, dynamics of occurrence and governance control of invasive species. The main objective of the study is to map the spatial distribution of L. lucidum in the mountainous region in the south of the Atlantic Forest biome, at different spatial scales. Specifically intended to (i) evaluate mappings invasion spots obtained from multispectral satellite images of Geoeye (pixel 0,25m²) and Landsat 5 TM (pixel 900m²), as to the accuracy of classification, total área invaded , size and number of spots; and if applicable, (ii) determining the potential for occurrence in a wider area, from 5 Landsat TM images. It applied supervised classification techniques for land use and the occurrence of invasive species determined the NDVI, the classification of pixels by Spectral Angle Mapper Method (SAM) and the accuracy of the kappa index. The classification Geoeye image showed an occurrence of 239.60 ha and a kappa index of 0.86, where the highest occupied area corresponded to spots between 1 and 100 m². Already using Landsat 5TM images presented in their final classification of an área 219.06ha of occurrence of the species, and a kappa index of 0.74, where the highest occupied area corresponding to larger spots 15.000m². To assess the accuracy of the low spatial resolution image used to the control points of Geoeye image, getting a kappa index 0.38. By accurate model was generated a potential occurrence model for a region of 341km², obtaining an area of 16.379ha the species and occurrence of 9.74% of L. lucidum over forest areas. The species has confirmed and representative occurrence in the area and in short time can become a threat to the forest ecosystem of Serra Gaucha, reaching invasion percentages which do not lend its eradication. Due to occur on a large scale of L. lucidum as an intruder, the control can only be possible in the early stages of the process, being economically and ecologically feasible restrictive in advanced stages.

Díaz Murillo, Patricia Gisele 08 July 2015 (has links)
Tesis

The effects of a problem based learning digital game on continuing motivation to learn science

Toprac, Paul K., 1960- 24 September 2012 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to determine whether playing a problem-based learning (PBL) computer game, Alien Rescue III, would promote continuing motivation (CM) to learn science, and to explore the possible sources of CM. Another goal was to determine whether CM and interest to learn science in the classroom were identical constructs. CM was defined as the pursuit of academic learning goals in noninstructional contexts that were initially encountered in the classroom. Alien Rescue was played for a total of 9 hours in the seventh grade of a private middle school with 44 students, total, participating. The study used a design-based research approach that attempted to triangulate quantitative and qualitative methods. A science knowledge test, and two selfreport questionnaires--one measuring motivation and one measuring CM--were administered preintervention, postintervention, and follow-up. Qualitative data was also collected, including student interviews, classroom observations, written responses, and a science teacher interview. Repeated measures ANOVAs were used to determine any significant changes in scores. A multiple regression analysis was used to explore whether a model of CM could be determined using the Eccles’ expectancy-value achievement motivation model. The constant comparative method was used to obtain relevant information from the qualitative data. Based on contradictory quantitative and qualitative findings, results were mixed as to whether students exhibited an increase in CM to learn space science. Students continued to freely engage Alien Rescue during the mid-class break, but this does not strictly adhere to the definition of CM. However, many students did find space science more interesting than anticipated and developed increased desire to learn more in class, if not outside of class. Results also suggest that CM and interest in learning more in class are separate but related constructs. Finally, no satisfactory model emerged from the multiple regression analysis but based on students’ interviews, continuing interest to learn is influenced by all the components of Eccles’ expectancy-value model. Response effects may have confounded quantitative results. Discussion includes challenges of researching in classrooms, CM, and Eccles’ motivational model, and the tension between PBL and game based approaches. Future design recommendations and research directions are provided. / text
