Konsekvenser av ungdomarsökade internetanvändning : - vad säger forskningen?

Frej, Johanna, Sundin, Sofia January 2014 (has links)

Internet, mon amour : códigos, etiquetas, porno, interfaces y disidencia

Rivas San Martín, Felipe January 2016 (has links)

Implementation of a network address translation mechanism over IPv6

Phillips, Matthew D. W., Baumgartner, Trevor J. 06 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited / Network Address Translation (NAT) for IPv4 was developed primarily to curb overcrowding of the Internet due to dwindling global IP addresses; however, NAT provides several other benefits. NAT can be used to mask the internal IP addresses of an Intranet. IPv6, the emerging standard for Internet addressing, provides three times the number of bits for IP addressing. While IPv6 does not need NAT for connectivity, other NAT features such as address hiding are valuable. There is currently no NAT implementation for IPv6. The focus of this research was the design and development of a NAT implementation for IPv6. This implementation will be used within a multilevel testbed. In addition, the NAT implementation developed here can facilitate the Department of Defense (DoD) transition to IPv6 planned for 2008 by providing services currently not available for IPv6. A working implementation of NAT for IPv6 within the Linux kernel has been produced. The NAT development created here has been tested for support of the protocols of TCP, UDP and ICMP for IPv6. / Ensign, United States Navy

An analysis of 802.11b and 802.16 technologies as part of the tactical internet

Swearingin, Brad E. 09 1900 (has links)
This research evaluates IEEE 802.11b and 802.16 technologies to examine whether these wireless technologies can integrate into the tactical Internet. In order to establish a baseline, the current Marine Corps' systems architecture is analyzed with emphasis placed on mobile forces at the Regimental level and below. A side-by-side comparison between existing communication assets in the Marine Corps inventory, such as the Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) and Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS), and available 802.11b/16 technologies will evaluate whether existing Command and Control requirements are met, determine the existence and extent of excess capacity, and identify potential adaptations required to implement commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technology into a military environment. The method for side-by-side evaluation will incorporate both COTS products as well as Marine Corps tactical communication devices in laboratory as well as field experimentation. This research captures key performance metrics such as range, power consumption, security, and bandwidth, but remains focused on the needs of the warfighter by evaluating performance of the system in support of Command and Control Compact Edition (C2CE) and Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC) applications.

Feasibility study of VoIP integration into the MYSEA environment

Tse, Lily. 09 1900 (has links)
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is becoming popular due to its low cost and the management advantages it offers over traditional PSTN phone systems. VoIP is widely implemented with H.323 and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) standards. However, both protocols are poorly designed for networks with common security solutions such as firewalls and Network Address Translation (NAT). This project is a feasibility study of SIP-based VoIP integration into the Monterey Security Architecture (MYSEA), a multilevel secure environment that uses NAT as a security mechanism. A gathering of comparative studies on VoIP protocols was performed to guide the selection of SIP as the test protocol. A set of experiments was devised and conducted using SIPbased softphones for this study. The insights gained from the experiment provide useful insights to the MYSEA project concerning VoIP security.

A performance analysis of BGP/MPLS VPN failover functionality

Tan, Guan Chye 12 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release, distribution unlimited / Future military systems, many of which have unique timing requirements, will rely on the Global Information Grid (GIG) as the core data communication infrastructure. The GIG currently uses the BGP/MPLS VPN technology to provide secure and robust IP-level connectivity. This technology supports the provisioning of IP connectivity by a service provider to multiple customers over a common physical IP backbone while allowing complete logical separation of customer traffic and routing information. This research focuses on evaluating and validating the performance characteristic of BGP/MPLS VPN to determine if the use of this technology can provide the necessary performance guarantees required by military applications. A set of experiments have been performed to identify the key factors that affect the time delay of a network failure and recovery. The results show that reducing the ISIS SPF interval and TDP Hello interval could shorten the failover latency while decreasing the ISIS SPF interval and TDP Hello interval could reduce the restoration delay, hence improving the BGP/MPLS VPN failover functionality.

The design and implemtation of a prototype web-portal for the integrated mobile alerting system (IMAS).

Hsu, Michael. 06 1900 (has links)
The Integrated Mobile Alert System (IMAS) is a mobile device message alerting system that provides a means for people to stay connected and receive information in a modality that is constantly available to them. The focus of this research is to develop a proof of concept for the common data format and common platform aspect of the proposed architecture. This project concentrates on the design characteristics of the IMAS-portal and server-side database. The thesis determines a way to aggregate, integrate, and sort different message formats in order to be easily displayed on a variety of mobile devices according to user profiles. It demonstrates that a web-portal written in PHP script supported by a relational database is a good configuration for IMAS. Additionally, a proof of concept system that converts messages into disseminated mobile alerts is presented. This thesis marks the founding steps in developing the IMAS. / US Navy (USN) author.
