This dissertation discusses the use of Virtual Learning Environment as a methodological strategy to boost genetic teaching, considering that current students are said digital natives with skills to interact in activities involving technology. Thus, justified this proposal, considering that the Communication and Information Technology stepped into school and support educational resource to contribute to the students' learning process. The study aimed to use the technologies, specifically the Virtual Learning Environment, in the genetic content of education. Thus, the planned activities involved students from 3rd Grade C high school in EEM Filgueiras Lima in the city of Iguatu/CE, in a practice using the Virtual Learning Environment www.geneticavirtual.pbworks.com. In this space was available links texts, wiki and the virtual object, tools able to minimize the difficulties of Biology, especially in relation to the content of “aneuloidias”. This investigation, as to the method of approach, characterized as qualitative research; about the objectives, such as exploratory research, and on the technical procedures, action research. For the implementation of the survey was a questionnaire initial diagnosis with issues related to Information and Communication Technology and the Virtual Learning Environment to verify the previous knowledge of students of the 3rd series C. The questionnaires were corrected and the arrangements considered to quantitatively interpret student performance. In these conditions, we obtained the following main results: 96.3% of students have access to the Internet and access this occurs in their homes (67%), the most visited sites, 70.4% answered that the preference is linked to entertainment sites; the methodological approach used by most teachers (29.6%) is the powerpoint. Regarding the knowledge of the Virtual Learning Environment, 44.5% of students mentioned that they did not know him, but still managed to get involved in the activities proposed using the wiki as a space for dialogue on aneuploidies. It was possible to realize the autonomy of the students during the intervention activities, a fact that strengthened the collaborative process of participation in the wiki. The use of Virtual Learning Object "riding idiograms" was considered the resource most used by students, since facilitated the virtual manipulation of the blood samples, analysis and results. After the final questionnaire, 76% of students rated the Virtual Learning Environment as great and good and; 83% mentioned the Virtual Object "riding idiograms" as great and good in their learning.
