Webového rozhraní pro ovládání prvků chytré domácnosti / Web Interface to Control Smart Home Devices

Farkaš, František January 2021 (has links)

Tran, Kate January 2021 (has links)
This report is about creating an architecture för a publication chain that is utilizing a headless CMS. The architecture should be based on modern technologies and methods that fulfills the demands that startups have on their web applications: it should be fast, scalable and secure. It should also be generic enough to be used for different web sites.

Trust Factors and Third-Party Web APIs : A survey on what factors influences developers’ trust in third-party web APIs / Förtroendefaktorer och Webb-APIer från tredje part : En undersökning på vilka faktorer som påverkar utvecklares förtroende för webb-APIer från tredje part

Gorrell, Jordan January 2021 (has links)
Third-party web APIs are becoming ever more popular as the API economy continues to grow. Software developers often integrate them into their own applications. The issue is that even if a developer thoroughly tests that their application works properly with the third-party web API, the owner of that API can completely change the code at any time, or take the API offline altogether, either temporarily or permanently. This makes for potentially less stable or reliable applications. This report attempts to determine what some of the factors are that most influence software developers’ trust in any given third party Web API. To do this, 42 individuals involved with software development were surveyed. Documentation and reliability came through as the strongest factors influencing their trust, but there is no general consensus on other factors. Further work could be done to confirm that these two factors are what influence developer trust the most, as well as work to determine which factor sought to influence developers’ trust in any given third-party web API, and thus work towards more reliable applications being developed as the API economy continues to grow.

On the Impact of Android API Evolution on Education Materials

Owen, Kennedy 01 June 2017 (has links)
The recent growing popularity of mobile devices has led to the establishment of several popular mobile platforms such as the Android operating system. To foster growth in this evolving market, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) were created to enable developers to create mobile device applications that utilize mobile device features and functionality for personal or widespread commercial use. However, as a result of excessive device and API evolution, mobile development faces increasingly complex issues, including an alarmingly rapid decay of development resources. This thesis conducts a case study around one such resource: a series of Android app development lab exercises used in an Android app development course taught at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. First, these labs and their respective written guides were modernized and fitted for backwards-compatibility to better reflect newer Android devices and development tools at the time. The updated labs were subsequently used in the next course offering, with student lab feedback recorded for evaluation. Several years later, the apps from these new labs were further tested for abnormal behavior on a variety of Android devices. Results from analyzing all feedback and observations show that despite all measures taken to future-proof these labs, Android device and API evolution continues to vastly outpace third-party Android resources without frequent modernization and upgrades.

Verifikace pozice serverů sítě PlanetLab / Verification of PlanetLab servers location

Pružinský, Ján January 2014 (has links)
The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the nodes of PlanetLab network. The analysis is focusing mainly on verifying the availability of nodes and on verifying the physical position of nodes. Individual nodes are tested for availability of ICMP protocol and SSH protocol. Availability of ICMP protocol is verified by using ping program. The main part of the thesis is devoted to verifying the addresses of nodes. Identified addresses are compared with entered addresses and the resulting conformity is evaluated at the level of the state, county, city and streets. Precision of specified address estimation is calculated based on given GPS coordinates. This thesis also deals with the dividing of nodes based on calculated usability index and accuracy index. The theoretical part contains a description of an experimental PlanetLab network and Google Geocoding API.

Optimalizace taxi-dispečinku za pomoci efektivního využití geolokačních služeb / Taxi-Dispatch Optimization Due to Effective Usage of Geolocation Services

Sekerka, Jan January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the operation of taxi-dispatch system and possibilities of its optimization by using geolocation services. The introductory part of diploma thesis contains theoretical basis used for an analysis of the current state and for design of an appropriate solution. The analysis of the current state deals with description of dispatch system functions within the selected company, finding weaknesses of the current system and also includes an analysis of market with systems designed for dispatch operation. Based on the analysis has been proceeded to design a custom solution consisting of a mobile application and a server part, which was then put into practice in the chosen company. Diploma thesis is finished by an evaluation of the proposal, which is based on the comparison of the situation before and after the introduction of the proposed solution.

Návrh vývoje webových aplikací s automatickým vytvářením databázového schématu / Web Application Development Scheme with Automatic Database Schema Creation

Prochocká, Kristína January 2015 (has links)
This thesis designs and implements an intermediary layer on both the backend and the frontend part of a web application, together with a user interface used to show analysis outputs and to manage the data. This layer was designed based on analysis of several existing solutions, in various languages and environments, and implemented using MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases, written in PHP on the server side and in JavaScript on the client side. It offers an immediately usable flexible persistence layer directly in the frontend, with analysis, feedback and an option to convert collections to PostgreSQL while keeping the same API, enabling a fluent transition.

Serverová aplikace pro zpracování dat z databáze MySQL a jejich interpretaci / Server application to process data from a MySQL database and their interpretation

Gardian, Ján January 2016 (has links)
Diploma thesis is about creating server application that process and interprets data from the database. Main aim of such application is able to process a large number of database requests in real-time environment. Provided database contains records of measuring download speed and quality of mobile connection via different radio technology from various providers. Those measured data are sent from users all around the world and amount of data collected is still growing. Therefore created server application can adapt to increasing size of database thanks to aggregation. This method of aggregation and use of index in database tables are further discussed in the theoretical part. Mainly putting indexes in tables produce significant acceleration of processing database requests. Final product of this thesis is an application that consist of three components: a server application running aggregation, website that interprets measured data and back-end interface providing measured data as well. Data at the website are presented in form of graphs for different countries and used radio technologies. Web address and user manual for finished applications are provided in the fourth chapter of diploma thesis. In the last part of thesis are performed various speed tests of programmed application that confirm the effectiveness of selected and described methods to accelerate work with the database.
