Novinky, s ktorými prišla Java 7 / Features and enhancements of Java 7

Staš, Jakub January 2013 (has links)
Nowadays there is wide variety of programming languages and platforms providing com-plex set of tools for software development -- from mobile and desktop applications up to server applications. Java is one of the most popular choices for software project develop-ment since many years. Many changes and improvements of the Java language occurred throughout 23 years of development of the platform. Current version brings many changes description of whom is considered to be beneficial not only for developers but also for the community around Java platform. This thesis covers the changes that were introduced in the release of Java 7. The thesis lists the short review of main historical events that happened since the beginning of the platform and analyses changes in libraries as well as describes syntactical changes. Primary focus is placed on the NIO (New I/O) library, whose current name is Non-Blocking I/O (NIO.2). Even though massive changes had occurred in this library, not many people actually noticed anything. This unfortunate situation is now described as a quiet revolution. Last but not least a description of changes in other libraries and Java Virtual Machine is presented.

Implementace nástroje pro analýzu dat o pohybu osob / Implementation of a tool for human movement data analysis

Matějka, Martin January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to provide an insight into theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical tool developed by Ondřej Funiok, Vilém Kalus, Tomáš Rosenberger and Martin Matějka at the University of Economics in Prague. The goal was to develop a tool which could be used for an analysis of human movement within a given place (e.g. retail store) and which could leverage traditional customers' data like age, gender or profession in order to enrich outcomes of conducted analysis, as well as provide a new segmentation of these customers based on their movement. Given that, one of the possible scenarios is that marketers would be able to finely-target their campaigns and use the space more effectively. The thesis contains a short introduction to Location Intelligence as a category of systems which the developed tool belongs to. Further a research of existing theses, articles etc., as well as already available products is conducted. Since a documentation of web services' application interface has proved to be an important aspect of the development, a research and comparison of supporting tools follows. Fourth and fifth chapters are of rather practical nature -- the first of them is about an overall design and architecture of the developed tool, while the second one describes the used application interface and its documentation in detail together with the most important aspects of a backend component -- so called ,,GA-Server``.

Abstract: In order to understand the intrinsic properties of imidazolium ionic liquids, studies of dissociation and distillation mechanisms were developed. The intrinsic strength of hydrogen bonds and formation and characterization of carbenes from these compounds were also investigated. Such studies were conducted by API (Atmospheric Pressure Ionization) mass spectrometry techniques such as ESI-MS(/MS) (Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry) and APCI-MS(/MS) (Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometry) which are soft ionization techniques allowing the analysis of compounds by direct infusion of the solution of interest. For these studies, imidazolium cations with different substituent at positions N-1, N-3 and C-2 and different anions as counter ions were selected. The objective was to test how these changes in the chains would affect the intrinsic properties studied. From the results of the work fragmentation mechanisms for a wide range of imidazolium ionic liquids were proposed, as well as a mechanism for the distillation of some of these compounds. Measurements were made to order the intrinsic strength of hydrogen bonding for different cations. Further information was obtained about the formation and characterization of carbenes from di-, tri-and tetra-imidazolium ionic liquids. / Doutorado / Quimica Organica / Doutor em Ciências

Desenvolvimento da soldagem de união do tubo API 5CT Q125 com o tubo API 5L X65 em junta circunferencial de gasoduto terrestre / Development of welding joint of pipes API 5CT Q125 and API 5L X65 on onshore pipeline

Marcy Saturno de Menezes 10 December 2012 (has links)
The subject of this study is to evaluate the weldability of pipes API 5CT grade C110 with CEiiw 0.76% and API 5CT grade Q125 with CEiiw 0.61%. These pipes, quenched and tempered steel, manufactured by the lamination process, have threaded ends and were not developed to be joined by welding. When welded, these pipes have a high degree of transformation in the heat affected zone (HAZ), with large increase of hardness in this region. This high hardness value associated with high values of carbon equivalent tends to favor the occurrence of hydrogen cracking. After its characterization and evaluation of buttering using half layer technique deposited by E7018-1 electrode with subsequent tempering heat treatment, grade Q125 was chosen to develop a welding procedure for union with API 5L X65 pipe. To develop such procedure API 5CT grade Q125 pipe end was buttered, using welding process shielded metal arc weld (SMAW), followed by localized treatment. After heat treatment this pipe was joined to API 5L X65 pipe using welding process gas tungsten arc weld (GTAW). The results were evaluated against the criteria of acceptance of the API 1104 (2010) standard and additional requirements from Petrobras. The procedure was considered approved.

En webbapplikation för att underlätta vid lager och logistik : En kvalitativ utvärdering / A web application to facilitate warehousing and logistics : A qualitative evaluation

Berg, Simon January 2021 (has links)
In this work, a web application has been developed for the company Moverline with the server software Node.js and the database management program MySQL. Moverline's vision with this application is that it will be a long development project and therefore it is important that the usability is high. During this project, a qualitative empirical study was performed regarding the usability of the REST API. This qualitative information is gathered through interviews and discussions with Moverline employees. The API functions of the produced application were in most cases easy to understand and knowledge of the underlying implementation did not need to be possessed. Problems of the REST API were ambiguities about how the endpoint of the URL should look like and in most call functions the calls are answered with an HTML answer. This is not optimal from a usability perspective as it becomes more difficult to know if the operations went through and what kind of data has been sent. One development step to prevent this problem would be to implement a client part of the application that acts as an intermediary between the Node.js server and the HTML files.

Webová aplikace pro systém detekce rizikových situací na železničním přejezdu / Web application for the detection system of risk situations at the railway crossing

Bachorec, Jan January 2021 (has links)
The thesis deals with the complete design, development and implementation of the server solution and graphical user interface for an autonomous system for detecting risk situations at a railway crossing. The server solution consists of a server service and a database. The .NET Core platform was used to develop the server service and its purpose is to perform the collection, processing and storage of information about risky traffic situations recorded by the camera modules. The service uses a Cassandra cluster database for secure data storage, and the database schema was designed with a focus on high performance. The own user interface is implemented with a web application built on Razor Pages technology. This application presents recorded traffic incidents to the user, using its own REST API service as a data source. REST API implements all logical operations on the data in the database.

The Value Of Implementing API-First As A Methodology When Developing Apis

Larsson, Jonatan, Åkermark, Ludwig January 2021 (has links)
Application Programming Interface (API) development is growing in popularity and because of that, it is more important than ever to develop high-quality APIs. There is often a rush to build APIs and therefore their design can suffer consequently. This may have a negative impact on the companies and consequently a poor user experience. Different “first” methodologies decide the approach when it comes to developing APIs. The purpose of this study is to investigate what API-first methodology has for value when developing APIs. This is done by developing two APIs where one is using the API-first approach while the other makes use of Code-first. This thesis is using a qualitative method of semi-structured interviews to collect data, with the focus to highlight the differences between the APIs developed. Specifically, the differences in test efficiency, user experience, and API correctness.  The conclusion from the study points out that by using API-first the user experience gets a higher quality in terms of documentation, test efficiency, and accuracy in the business requirements. Also, it provides a suggestion for when and why a company should use it. The findings suggest that when the project is big and complex, then API-first is a good option to consider. The continuous dialog between developer and client is why it is such an approving method to use. The hope is that the findings of this thesis are an indicator that API-first is a significant method to use and that more companies consider it when developing APIs.

Sledování polohy pomocí GPS / Location tracking via GPS

Stříteský, Jan January 2010 (has links)
The presented thesis deals with the subject of tracking via GPS and focuses on possibilities of the practical implementation of user tracking system with the help of mobile end user devices. The introductory theoretical part shortly describes the properties and history of the GPS navigation system. It outlines possible development of end user mobile applications on the level of operating systems and mobile web applications. The final theoretical part provides a short outline of properties of tacking systems available in the Czech market. The primary aim of the thesis was to create an application which would enable the tracking of user position via GPS. The practical part describes the selected solution as well as the individual parts of the designed tracking system. The resulting system allows to record and track user position determined by a mobile phone with an integrated GPS module. The systems also enables the creation of user groups, tracking their routes and visualization of the given position or entire route on a map.

STUDIES ON ABOVEGROUND STORAGE TANKS SUBJECTED TO SEISMIC EXCITATION AND FOUNDATION SETTLEMENT

Harsh Bohra (8455983) 02 May 2020 (has links)
<div>The author aims to investigate the current design provision for seismic and foundation settlement design of aboveground open-top storage tanks using finite element analysis. The thesis is divided into two independent but closely related studies: (1) seismic analysis of open-top storage tanks with flexible foundation and (2) fitness-for-service of open-top storage tanks subjected to differential settlement.</div><div><br></div><div>The present seismic design provisions in American Petroleum Institute’s storage tank standard API 650 (2013) assumes the tank foundation is rigid and therefore, ignores the effect of uplift during a seismic excitation. In the first study, the objective was to quantitatively critique rigid foundation assumption and conclude if the assumption is acceptable or not for a given tank geometry. Tanks with three different height to diameter ratio (H/D), i.e aspect ratios, of 0.67, 1.0 and 3.0 representing broad, nominal and slender geometry, respectively, were modelled having both rigid and flexible foundations. The flexible foundation was modelled with series of non-linear compression only springs. Additionally, for each tank model two different hydrodynamic pressure distribution suggested by (1) Housner and (2) Jacobsen-Veletsos were applied which are used by API 650 and Eurocode 8, respectively. Geometric non-linear analysis with non-linear material properties was conducted (GMNA) using Riks algorithm in Abaqus finite element analysis (FEA) program. The hoop stresses, longitudinal stresses, uplift and buckling capacity of each rigid foundation tank model were compared with its respective flexible foundation tank model and corresponding API 650 rule based provisions. It was observed that the assumption of rigid foundation from design point of view is acceptable for the broad tank, however, for the nominal and slender tanks this assumption is not acceptable. The buckling capacity of nominal and slender tanks having flexible foundation are significantly lower compared to rigid foundation. Therefore, the effect of uplift should not be neglected for design purposes for nominal and slender tank geometries.</div><div><br></div><div>In the second study, an alternative method for evaluating the structural integrity of storage tank subjected to differential settlement is proposed. The limitations of the existing method in API 653 (2014), currently used in the industry are highlighted. The tank settlement is measured underneath</div><div>12</div><div>the tank bottom along the tank circumference at discrete locations. The settlement can be transformed into a Fourier series by combining different harmonic components. In the existing API 653 method there is no distinction between the effects of different harmonic components whereas in the proposed method the effects of first five harmonic components are individually accounted and the cumulative damage is evaluated. The proposed method is formulated based on FEA conducted on twenty-one different tank models with each having different tank geometry. The limiting settlement value for each harmonic wave number is found for a given tank geometry by conducting GMNA using Riks algorithm, and a generalized trend is found for each harmonic wave number. The proposed method is further validated by performing numerous FEA simulations. The simulations were conducted for several tank models subjected to four representative actual measured settlement data. A set of tank models used in the validation was generated using random tank geometries and design parameters to have a blind test of the proposed method. Finally, a comparison is made between allowable settlement based on the API 653 method, the proposed method and the FEA. It was observed that the proposed method consistently results in conservative results compared to FEA. In contrast the API 653 method does not always result in conservative results. For some measured settlement data, the API 653 method gives overly conservative values and for others it gives non-conservative values. Moreover, the API 653 method is based on the beam theory which may not capture the true shell behavior. Therefore, the API 653 method requires modifications. The proposed method on the other hand is consistent and is based FEA which can capture the true shell behavior as it is formulated using shell theory. Therefore, it is recommended that the existing method in API 653 shall be replaced with the proposed method to determine the fitness of tank under differential settlement.</div>
