Uso da terrra e caracterização hidropedológica na região de vila Kramer, São Francisco de Assis - RS / Land use and hidropedological characterization in the region of vila Kramer, São Francisco de Assis - RSAuzani, Gislaine Mocelin 31 August 2010 (has links)
The knowledge about the physical-natural environment to be explored is extremely important for the correct development of human activities. The planning of land use
and occupation minimizes the environmental impact, therefore, providing a balanced ecosystem in its different phases. The incorrect use of land can harm considerably
the environment, which is many times irreversible. The aim of this work was to evaluate the use of land in different times, to study the natural vulnerability of aquifer
systems and to evaluate the physical-chemical parameters of groundwater in the region of Vila Kramer, in the city of São Francisco de Assis, Rio Grande do Sul, State, Southern Brazil. A soil study was made, identifying and characterizing the different soil classes which occur in the area, using geoprocessing techniques. Different soil maps were made, such as: geological, hypsometrical, gradient index, land use in 1989, 1999 and 2009, Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs), agricultural sustainability, and adaptation of the soil use. There was also an identification of the areas with land use conflict. The tool used to study the natural vulnerability of aquifers
(confined/not confined) was the DRASTIC and GOD methodology. In order to characterize the groundwater, an analysis of physical and chemical parameters was
made using the water collected from the wells. The results showed that the natural forest cover presented a significant decrease between 1989 and 2009, which
corresponds for 26.32% of the area. In the areas without forest there was not much difference between 1989 and 1999 considering this class of use. In 2009 there was
an increase of 10.16% compared to the past decade. This increase is related mainly to the decrease in the areas used with crops. As a result we can highlight, in relation
to the natural vulnerability of the aquifer area, that, the DRASTIC methodology ranged between vulnerable, high vulnerable, and extremely vulnerable area, while in
the GOD methodology it ranged between negligible, low moderate, high and extreme. The DRASTIC and GOD methodologies provided approaches to identification of the
vulnerability of the areas and the natural conditions of the aquifers, as well. From this point, it is possible to have the use of GIS, through the delineation of theme maps,
which can be used to sustainably manage the hydric groundwaters resources.

Previous issue date: 2008-02-27 / There are several works which aim to equate the agricultural production in function of the best
use of natural resources as soil and water, in the attempt of obtaining the maximum of effectiveness in the
productive system, and upon this context the evaluation of the potential of using the lands has major
importance for a correct planning of agricultural activities. The elaboration of maps of agricultural aptitude
is of extreme importance for the sustainable use of soil and water, it should be the first and more important
instrument of agricultural planning. Because of this, the elaboration of those maps should be accompanied of
a discerning methodological process, focused mainly in the socioeconomic aspects aiming to adequate it to
the various levels of soil handling present nowadays. This work has as objectives: 1) Research the
applicability of the evaluation system of the lands agricultural aptitude regarding the actual conditions of the
agricultural productive process for two areas of the State of Goiás, basin of drainage of Córrego das Pedras
and of Ribeirão Jurubatuba (nascent of Ribeirão João Leite) and of the immediate surrounding of the
National Park of Emas; 2) Look for latent factors responsible for the large variability of the lands aptitude in
the studied areas, and detect the similar samples considering this clustering, using for this multivariate
techniques of factor analysis of principal components and discriminative. The work considers quantifying
and comparing the elements of production among the various classes of agricultural aptitude, establishing
qualitative differences among those aptitude classes and the handling levels, comparing the theoretical model
proposed in the studies against the several realities of the researched areas. The data related to the soil types,
agricultural aptitude and handling levels recommended were gathered from maps elaborated for the two areas
being studied. Data regarding productivity, production costs, land value, gross revenue and local adopted
technology were obtained from personal visits and direct interviews with a sample of 52 farm properties for
the agricultural year of 2006/2007. Based on the information found in the 52 analyzed samples, the use of
factor analysis was shown to be promising, for this study area, being an innovative aspect in the
interpretation of data related to the agricultural aptitude. Two techniques of statistical multivariate analysis
were used: factor analysis aiming to reduce the columns of the original matrix (variables in study) through
the identification of latent factors, synthesizing the common information over all variables; and the
discriminant analysis with the objective of classifying the observations, with known data. These analyses
indicated that productivity and production cost are related and that a possible explanation for it may be due to
the levels of handling and technology, as with the gross income it may be explained by other elements as the
business opportunity, market value for the products, and not necessarily with the level of technology. It was
verified also a need for establishing greater and more meaningful details regarding the handling levels for the
cases of pasture and forestry. Because of the peculiarities and diversity of production systems found in the
basin of Ribeirão João Leite, the system of agricultural aptitude of the lands proposed by Ramalho Filho &
Beek (1995) was considered insufficient, for suggesting only three handling levels, while the dispersion of
the data regarding production, productivity, production cost and gross revenue, demonstrates the need of
better discrimination or hierarchization of the handling levels. For the area of the immediate surrounding of
the National Park of Emas the system of agricultural aptitude was shown to be more appropriate on the
handling levels recommended. The system proposed by Ramalho Filho & Beek (1995), in a certain way,
plasters or limits the expectations one could have relative to the potential of certain cultures, soils and used
labor force, regarding the productivity and profitability of some agricultural and forestry activities. It was
verified also that the handling levels are extremely important, and they should be in greater number and more
detailed than the existing 3 handling levels (A,B and C) proposed by Ramalho Filho & Beek (1995).
importante instrumento do planejamento agropecuário.
entrevistas diretas a 52 propriedades amostradas no ano agrícola 2006/2007.

Previous issue date: 2015-03-30 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / During the last 40 years, Cerrado in Goiás crossed to big changes of land use
associated with the Green Revolution and the Agriculture Modernization. These
modifications were based on grains production, cattle raising, in minor scale, sugar
cane production. Goiás Sowth-west Planning Region (RPSG) was a great notability in
this scenery that, since 1980 decade, because your elevated agricultural aptness,
turned great objective of Agroindustrial complexes, grains and meat and, more
recently, of sugar cane.
Recently, the sugar cane sector retakes your expansion starting a new phase in 2004,
extending from the same anterior surface from east, where more able soils dominated.
Since this, a strong and fast expansion has been realized in this route, reaching the
RPSG extreme west in 2008. The present thesis objective to recognize the special
standard in these two sugar cane expansion phases in RPSG, between 1985 and 2013
and identify your relations with the lands use changes and with the agricultural aptness
classes, for presenting the particular spatial standards of sugar cane expansion and
having uses conflicts discrepancy indicators. It was used remote sensing and
geoprocessing techniques, specially SIG, for the mapping of environmental
characteristics, agricultural aptness and uses and soil uses conflicts, in historic
succession of representative five years of use changes and sugar cane expansion;
they were 1985 and 1995 in the first phase, and 2005, 2010 and 2013 in the second
phase. The cartography results were submitted on statistic analyze ANOVA Fatorial
and Principal Component Analyses (PCA). The results showed that the recent sugar
cane expansion presented two spatial standards: the first, until 2005, in surfaces with
more agricultural aptness, before with grains culture; the second, since 2005, in
moderately or very fragile soils zones, able for natural pastures or recommended for
flora e fauna conservation. It still revealed that sugar cane expansion reprises the
agroexporting model, this time including the national market of ethanol consumption,
however, in two successive itineraries: the first, that represents the itinerary resulting of
spatial selectivity irradiated type, also practiced in Agricultural Frontier expansion
(1970-80), looking for more able soils to cultivates with high technology level and taking
advantage of structure, specially the logistic. The second, after 2005, that runs away
this standard and goes to the extreme west of region, upon less able soils, in general
sandy soils, with elevated erodibility, little fertility and cohesion, named fragile soils,
with pasture and Cerrado’s reminders. It discusses that this process caused direct and
indirect impacts in successions of covering/cane and pasture/cane, respectively, in
consequence of deforestation, upon areas with moderated or elevated use discrepancy
in respect to agricultural aptness. It concludes that the sugar cane expansion is
occurring in RPSG for spatial irradiated selectivity, expanding upon the best lands
(1960-80 in the east) and, before, 2005, for diffusion, in dispersed spots on direction to
extreme west upon less able lands with fragile soils. In the first, the impacts were
directs, by reconversion grains/cane; in the second, it were directs (like the first, added
for pasture/cane and remaining/cane) and indirects (grains/pasture, remaining/pasture)
also associated to the remaining deforestation. It was noted that the
privation/insufficiency of regulatory marks for sugar cane expansion and planning and
environmental govern in levels of state and region, favoring pressure upon natural
resources and the installation of environmental (un)sustentability sceneries.
do solo associadas à Revolução Verde e à Modernização da Agricultura. Estas
A presente tese objetiva
expansão canavieira reprisa o modelo agroexportador, desta vez incluindo o mercado
lavouras altamente tecnificadas, aproveitando a infraestrutura e, principalmente a
