This type of housing arises in the 1970s, but recently received a new impulse, which demonstrates the desire for security and exclusivity of collective spaces. The search for security, in constant flight of urban violence has contributed to the increase of this type of housing. The results show that the environment of horizontal condominiums has good security, being the main aspects related to that the presence of physical barriers that surround the restricted and controlled access and other security devices such as cameras and closed circuit TV. Therefore, to analyze and contextualize this process was the basis for the discussion of this work. / O presente trabalho buscou analisar e compreender o motivo da existência e do crescimento dos condomínios fechados em Goiânia. Esse tipo de habitação surge na década de 1970, mas recentemente recebeu um novo impulso, que demonstra os desejos de segurança e exclusividade dos espaços coletivos. A busca por segurança, na constante fuga da violência urbana, tem contribuído para o aumento desse modelo de habitação. Os resultados mostram que o ambiente dos condomínios fechados horizontais apresenta uma boa segurança interna, sendo os principais aspectos relacionados a isso a presença das barreiras físicas que os circundam; o acesso restrito e controlado e outros aparatos de segurança como câmeras e circuito de TV. Portanto, analisar e contextualizar esse processo foi a base da discussão desse trabalho.

Este estudo consiste num esforço direcionado à compreensão do processo de autossegregação socioespacial em Imperatriz-MA, uma cidade média inserida no contexto da Amazônia Oriental, partindo de um estudo sobre os condomínios horizontais presentes no bairro Santa Inês desde 2010. Para isso, busca-se entender as bases conceituais sobre segregação, autossegregação, condomínios horizontais e produção do espaço urbano em cidades médias, bem como as especificidades inerentes ao processo histórico de produção do espaço urbano imperatrizense darão suporte a estruturação deste trabalho. Além de analisar a atuação dos principais agentes sociais responsáveis pela dinâmica socioespacial da cidade. Os referenciais metodológicos se pautaram por uma abordagem qualitativa da realidade, a partir do estudo das contradições que norteiam as cidades enquanto espaços apropriados pelo capitalismo contemporâneo. Por meio de múltiplas técnicas de pesquisa, como a observação não participativa, o questionário de pesquisa e a realização de entrevistas com pautas, foi possível levantar informações que resultaram na elaboração de mapas, quadros, tabelas e gráficos que contribuíram para a compreensão da complexa dinâmica socioespacial de Imperatriz e particularmente do bairro Santa Inês. Quanto à escala geográfica de análise, esta se projeta no espaço intra-urbano de Imperatriz, sem deixar de contextualizá-la no cenário regional no qual coordenada, em virtude da sua importância enquanto polo econômico para esta região, o que reflete na produção do seu espaço interno. Desse modo, entende-se que este trabalho cumpre com o que se propôs, visto que analisa e compreende as bases nas quais se estabeleceram a produção do espaço urbano no bairro Santa Inês quando da implantação dos condomínios horizontais e, assim, vem oferecer subsídios que permitem refletir sobre a reestruturação urbana a qual Imperatriz tem vivenciado neste início de século XXI / This study is an effort directed at understanding the socio-spatial process of self segregation in Imperatriz-MA, a medium-sized city into the context of eastern Amazon, from a study of the horizontal condominiums present in the neighborhood Santa Inês since 2010. To this end, we want to understand the conceptual bases about segregation, self segregation, horizontal condominiums and production of urban space in medium-sized cities as well as the specificities of the historical process of production of the urban space from Imperatriz will support the structuring of this work. In addition to analyzing the performance of the main social agents responsible for socio-spatial dynamics of the city. The methodological framework is guided by a qualitative approach to reality, from the study of the contradictions that guide the cities as spaces appropriated by contemporary capitalism. Through multiple research techniques, such as non-participant observation, the survey questionnaire and conducting interviews with guidelines, made it possible to collect information that resulted in the preparation of maps, charts, tables and graphs that contributed to the understanding of the complex dynamics socio-spatial of Imperatriz and particularly the Santa Inês neighborhood. Regarding the geographical scale of analysis, this is projected in Imperatriz intra-urban space, while contextualizing it in the regional scenario where coordinated, because of its importance as a region economic center, reflecting the production of its internal space. Thus, it is understood that this work meets what is proposed, as analyzes and understands the basis on which settled the production of urban space in Santa Inês neighborhood upon the implementation of condominiums and, thus comes to offer subsidies allow to reflect on urban restructuring which Imperatriz has experienced at the beginning of XXI century.
