<p>Produktutveckling, produktvård eller produktuppdatering har länge förekommit inom alla olika typer av branscher, den ter sig olika vilket speglar resultatet. Ett exempel på detta är att bruksföremål ersätts av den produktutvecklade modellen tillskillnad från möbelområdet där utvecklingen oftast resulterar i nya produkter jämte deras förlagor.</p><p>Produktutveckling är väsentlig oavsett designområde och gynnar såväl producent som konsument. Ur konsumentens perspektiv kan produktutveckling innebära trygghet, något man tidigare trivts med har utvecklats till något förhoppningsvis ännu bättre. Sakerna vi känner igen och har en relation till har effektiviserats, förbättrats och förskönats efter samtidens rådande ideal. För producenter kan produkt-utveckling ge upphov till effektiviserade och mer miljöanpassade tillverkningstekniker samt mindre ekonomiskt risktagande i förhållande till att lansera en helt ny produkt.</p><p>Syftet med den här rapporten är att på ett undersökande och analyserande sätt beskriva begreppet produktutveckling över tid. Vad blir följderna och konsekvenserna av en aktiv produktutveckling och hur ter sig produktutvecklingen inom olika designområden, hur kan den spegla vår samtid kontra dåtid. Som underlag till detta beskrivs dels tre olika exempel av tidigare genomförda produktutvecklingar inom olika ämnesområden. Products we recognize and have a relation towards have been improved, become more effective and embellished to modern ideals. For producers product development can result in more effective and environment friendly manufacturing and result in taking less of a finically risk in introducing a new product.</p><p>The purpose of this rapport is to investigate, analyze, and describe product development in aperspective over time. What are the consequences of product development and what form does product development take in different fields of design, how will product development reflect the past in the present. As basis I will use three different examples of product development that has been carried out in different product fields. <p>Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa Majgull Axelssons roman ”Slumpvandring” från olika håll för att komma fram till ett förslag till en tolkning av romanen och dess budskap. Uppsatsens resonemang kring romanen är begränsat till tre huvudområden, samt koncentreras kring de tre karaktärer som uppsatsförfattaren uppfattar som huvudkaraktärer; Augusta, Alice och Angelica.</p><p>Först diskuteras romanens mest betydelsefulla miljö, huset som kallas Augustas hus, utifrån huset som symbol och vad det representerar. Huset är enligt traditionen ofta en symbol för den mänskliga kroppen och framförallt kvinnokroppen och moderskroppen, och denna symbolik diskuteras i förhållande till romanens skildring av Augustas hus samt skildringen av havandeskap, barnafödande och relationer mellan barn och förälder i romanen. I detta avsnitt diskuteras också minnet och det förflutna och vilken roll dessa spelar i romanen.</p><p>Vidare diskuteras romanens primära intertext, ”Geniet” av Ivar Lo-Johansson, och vilken roll denna intertext spelar i Axelssons roman. Den flitigast använda parollen i ”Geniet”; ”Vi måste släppa till flickorna!” förekommer ofta i Axelssons roman och i uppsatsen diskuteras detta slagord i egenskap av att till synes vara själva anledningen till att Axelsson anspelar på ”Geniet” av Ivar Lo-Johansson. Det diskuteras även hur väl Axelsson har lyckats med sitt företag att skildra kvinnornas plats i sexualiteten i kontrast till det manliga perspektivet i Ivar Lo-Johanssons ”Geniet”.</p><p>Slutligen diskuteras romanens titel, ”Slumpvandring”, och dess betydelse för romanen, och i denna diskussion används sannolikhetsteori och frågor kring determinism och förutsägbarhet för att förklara den matematiska betydelsen av termen slumpvandring. Sedan diskuteras om kompositionen och karaktärernas liv i romanen ”Slumpvandring” kan liknas vid det matematiska begreppet slumpvandring, samt vad determinism och förutsägbarhet spelar för roll i det mänskliga livet.</p><p>I uppsatsens avslutande del knyts de tidigare förda resonemangen ihop och slutsatsen blir att något av det ”Slumpvandring” vill förmedla är vikten av att minnas och lära sig av det förflutna, både det större historiska förflutna och de egna mer privata händelser man varit med om, för att kunna välja bättre vägar i livet.</p>

This essay explores the economical and social paradigms surrounding one of the most influential Nordic border dynastic noble families in the second half of the fifteenth century - the Axelsson Totts. How mercantile possibilities and opportunities offered to them, reflected on their political actions and social bands. The Axelsson brothers of the Tott Dynasty would become of one of the most powerful noble families within the Nordic Union between 1444 och 1487. Axel Pedersen (Tott) would through well chosen marriage alliances into the noble families of both Denmark and Sweden, and with political prowess lay the foundation for one of the most dynamic family empires of the fifteenth century. In the year 1442, the Axelsson brothers swore loyalty to each other; to protect and defend their mercantile and economical interests in Denmark and Sweden. They would eventually control the trading routes in the border areas of the Union, and by exploiting the political chaos within the Union they would gain access and influence to the land trading routes for export and import within the Union and the shipping export routes in the Baltic Sea allowing them access to the Russian market through Finland and Estonia. The island of Gotland, with its tactical and important geographical position in the Baltic Sea became the key to the Nordic Union. Olof Axelsson (Tott) sailing under the Danish flag took possession of Gotland in 1449. Although technically a part of the Danish kingdom, in practice the island would remain independent and under the control of the Axelsson brothers until 1487 when the last surviving brother, Sir Ivar relinquished his rights to Gotland in favor of the Danish monarch, King Hans. The Axelsson brothers (Tott) would hold the key to The Nordic Union for almost four decades. Thus controlling the future of the union within the family by marriage, by political associations within and outside of the Union and most importantly by creating an economical empire based on personal family politics and border gentry aspirations.

<p>This report presents the primary development process of an innovative milk foamer. The project is structured as the primary development process that is used at Electrolux Floor Care and Small Appliances AB, Global Primary Development and Innovation department in Stockholm, Sweden. The aim was to develop a milk foamer with innovative solutions to provide Electrolux with a unique product. The objective was to create a product that highly meets customer requirements and in the same time is feasible to develop into a selling product. All the aspects regarding a consumer product had to be considered. To create innovative solutions thorough investigations of the physics behind foaming and foam are studied and documented. The difference in foam quality when using different ways of foaming is documented and possible explanations is discussed. The primary development process range from pre-study and customer research to designing prototypes and verifications. Most of the report deals with standalone solutions but there is also a part of the report that deals with integrated solutions and cooperating solutions that would be used together with espresso machines. The result is a variety of concepts and four fully working standalone prototypes. Two prototypes are further developed and are highly interesting to Electrolux.</p>

Saab Training Systems (STS) in Huskvarna is manufacturing material for educationalpurposes to armies worldwide. They are now implementing parts of the Lean productionconcept in their organisation.One part of the work with Lean production is to eliminate waste. To be able to identify waste,value stream mapping is a good tool and also what we used in our thesis. To gain a betterefficiency in the production of Personnel Detector Device (PDD) flow was one of our goals.The PDD is a harness used during battle training which registers if the user is being hit by itsenemy.Our work with the thesis started up with a short education in Lean production and in valuestream mapping (VSM). The work proceeded with a VSM of the production flow of the PDD,interviews were made and studies of literature were done to gain greater knowledge of thesubject and solve the task.The VSM resulted in five areas which were followed up out of those six we identified. Theareas were as followed: to examine why the reliability in a test chamber were down at 83percent, look over batch size and setup time, find out whether two workstations that wereusing the same equipment should be separated or not and also look through the existing layoutand create a new.The results from this were that what took down the reliability in the test chamber was isolatedto a few things which were followed through and visualized in a Pareto diagram.Big batch sizes as a result of few start ups of the order which now will be changed in to moredaily start ups with the actual demand in mind. The setup time is a big part of the change inbatch size. Valuable process time is lost as the operators have to collect material which isbeing needed for the assembling of the products. STS is now going to follow up the processand se how to make for changes.The two stations sharing the same equipment is a kind of a problem in the material flow asproducts some times get stacked up here. To solve this problem the only solution is toseparate them into two different work stations.
