These transformations are intrinsically connected to the changes in use and meaning of the central areas and its implications for the municeps. As it is possible to observe along the work, the concept of mixed land-use has different meanings. For some authors downtown, which has started to be occupied by commerce and service industry, has also been struck by the incidence of social conflicts found in mid-size cities, due to problems stemming from unwanted interactions, traffic, heterogeneity, violence, fear and unpredictability of the streets, thus changing both the public and private spaces, especially those earlier linked to the activities of the wealthiest social classes. For other authors, on the other hand, the mixed land-use in central areas presents positive features, such as the increase in cooperation and sociability, thanks to the creation of a net of relations among the inhabitants, which tends to boost the trust of the population. In order to make an analysis of these transformations possible, we have used interviews carried out with dwellers, workers and home help of two private residential areas in the city of São Carlos: Parque Faber I and Parque Fehr , chosen according to their particularities, which will be exposed in this study. Besides, we have included an ethnography of Parque Faber I , as well as pictures taken in these places, because they bring to light aspects not always explicit in the interviews. It is important to highlight that we consider the interpretation of marketing material on this new dwelling concept relevant so as to analyze the sales appeal of entrepreneurs and construction firms involved in the projects of the private residential areas. The consequences of such transformations in the urban fabric affect directly the life of its inhabitants, who tend to occupy the urban land in a more segregated way, in an attempt to get rid of the problems arisen by the swelling of downtown. This attitude also creates new conflicts and inequalities around unique sociabilities, such as those found in private horizontal residential areas, object of this research.

Locat, Ariane 12 April 2018 (has links)
This study presents the stratigraphic and geomorphologic model of the Saint-Barnabé-Nord slide, which occurred on December 10th 2005, and the geotechnical characterization of the material involved in this slide. This lateral spread occurred in a Champlain sea silty clay deposit that is over consolidated (OCR varies between 1.5 and 3.2) and has a shear strength over 100kPa. The study of this slide demonstrates the necessity of the use of a progressive failure concept to get a better understanding of lateral spreads. The applicability of Bernander et al. (1988 and 1989) and Bernander (2000) progressive failure analysis was shown for a lateral spread with the case of the Saint-Barnabé-Nord slide. The modelisation enabled to analyze de risk of a local failure induced by an extension force or by a deformation, caused by creep or erosion, which could explain the formation of the first horsts and grabens typical of lateral spreads.

Processos seriais na música de Arrigo Barnabé : as oito canções do LP "Clara Crocodilo"

Silva, Andre Cavazotti e January 1993 (has links)
The use of serial procedures in the eight sdongs of the LP "Clara Crocodilo" by Arrigo Barnabé is surveyed in this thesis. An analytical study demonstrates thet the eight songs are serial, six being twelve-tone. This fact confirms the position of the composer as one who employs serial compositional techniques in Brazilian urban popular music. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the use of serial procedures is directly related to the sociological content of the lyrics, in wich the underground of the city of São Paulo in the Seventies is portrayed. This investigations demonstrates that the serial procedures used in "Clara Crocodilo" represent an affront to tonality, indicating the distortion and desintegration of the tonal center; in the same way, the lyrics portray human beings in their distorted and disintegrated state.

Étude comparée sur la construction des origines apostoliques des Églises de Crète et de Chypre à travers les figures de Tite et de Barnabé / Comparative study about the construction of the apostolic origins of the Churches of Crete and Cyprus through the figures of Titus and Barnabas

Rouquette, Maïeul 12 May 2017 (has links)
The foundation of a local Church by an apostle is a major component in inter-ecclesial relationships. However, such foundation could be an object of dispute, especially if the apostolic status of the founder is not obvious in the New Testament. That is why a Church could be brought to build an apostolic past, notably by the production of apostle' lives, which can emphasize both the apostolic status of the figure and its founding feature of the church. The aim of this study is to compare how the Churches of Crete and Cyprus build their apostolic past through the figures of Titus and Barnabas. This work also analyzes the ecclesial and politic stakes of theses constructs and their reception by the Churches outside Crete and Cyprus. After presenting the New Testament datas about Titus and Barnabas, this thesis studies the reception of these figures in the Christianity in the first five centuries. Then it analyzes the relationship between these figures and the Churches of Crete and Cyprus. To do it, it interests first to the writings composed about them from the 5th century, then to the Cretan and Cypriot texts which mention them in an indirect way. Then, it intends to study the devotional practices toward these figures and their identity uses, especially during the periods of Frankish and Venetian rule. Finally, this work examines the reception of Cretan and Cypriot traditions regarding Titus and Barnabas outside their respective island, in the hagiographical and not hagiographical literature of the Byzantine Empire and of the Coptic, Syriac and Armenisch worlds.
