Xenofobní motivy ve španělské pozdně renesanční a barokní dramatice / Xenophobic Motives in the Spanish Late-Renaissance and Baroque Drama

Kučera, Mojmír January 2021 (has links)
The aim of my work is to explore the motives of racial and national prejudice in the drama of the Spanish Golden age. On selected examples from the late Renaissance and early Baroque plays, I reflect on the frequency and expressiveness of racially defaming allusions and attitudes based on delegitimization and discrimination of ethnic groups in the religiously and nationally consolidating state. I also notice the development of contemporary xenophobic motives, targeted at members of nations professing Islam and Judaism, as well as other "pagan" ethnic groups. Using literature I try to classify these motives, alternatively to set them into a contemporary historical and biographical context.

Josef Čapek: "V barokním temnosvitu". / Chiaroscuro and Josef Čapek.

Rozbořilová, Adéla January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with literary work of Josef Čapek in relation to the concept of visual contrast. First, the historical background is set up, with highlights of then exposed interest in Baroque era on one hand, and increasing threat of World War II on the other. Both of these moments were relevant in connection with one of the most crucial cultural events in First Czechoslovak Republic: the exhibition of Pražské baroko 1600-1800. The essential hypothesis suggests that based on what has been indicated, some elements of the Baroque aesthetics appeared to be relevant for Josef Čapek's unique artisic expression as well, since they became subject of integration to his aesthetic frame. In this respect, the common ground between Čapek's modern artistic approach and Baroque aesthetics is believed to be shaped by the notion of visuality. Finally, these ideas are applicated on Čapek most prominently Baroque-influenced works, Kulhavý poutník and Psáno do mraků. Keywords: Josef Čapek, Baroque, exhibition, Pražské baroko 1600-1800, visuality, contrast, chiaroscuro, Kulhavý poutník, Psáno do mraků

Johann Anton Schmidt a kostel sv. Michaela Archanděla ve Smržovce v kontextu české architektury po polovině 18. století / Johann Anton Schmidt and the church St Michael Archangel in Smržovka in the context of czech architecture in the second half of 18. century.

Bachtík, Jakub January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is dealing with life and work of Anton Schmidt, the remarkable architect of czech late baroque period. The text focuses mainly on his sacral architecture, especially on St. Michael Archanděl in Smržovka, which represents the notable example of baroque dynamism in czech architecture of the second half of the 18th century. Anton Schmidt is recognized as very important figure of czech late baroque architecture. He followed the tradition of domestic high baroque epoque and the work of K. I. Dientzenhofer. But on the other hand, Schmidt introduced various motifs of neoclasicissm very early into czech milieu. Therefore the typical feature of his architecture is the synthesis of styles combined with refine architectural language. His most important works are - besides the church in Smržovka - church St. Bartoloměj in Černouček, Kounický palace in Prague- Malá Strana and castle in Zahrádky u České Lípy. This thesis brings also a new discovery of previously unknown Schmid's structure - church St. Jan Nepomucký na Poušti in Železný Brod.

Kamenosochařská a řezbářská díla Jana Karla Hammera ve středních a jižních Čechách / Jan Karel Hammer's Stone Sculptural and Woodcarving Work in Central and South Bohemia

Šiková, Terezie January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to record and evaluate from art-historical point of view the stone sculptural and woodcarving work of Jan Karel Hammer, whose activity was documented between the years 1737 and 1757 on the border of central and southern Bohemia. The topic of thesis was chosen due to the fact, that this interesting artist has not yet been introduced to the professional public. Automatic attribution of all sculptural and woodcarving work in the area around Čimelice, where Jan Karel Hammer spent the last two decade of his life, to his hand together with a sharp increase of works, that are assumed to belong to him, led to the need for critical review. With the exceptions of Hammer's works the information was drawn from topografical, historical and regional literature and from archival sources. Because of the literary character and limited number of sources the main emphasis was placed on formal analysis. The examined material was divided into several cathegories, as can be seen in the structure of final catalogue. Thanks to detailed knowledge of works it was possible to identify author's distinctive style, which can be detected also in the workshop production, and all specifics of his work. Attention focused on the sources of inspiration and style orientation took us to the Prague art center...

Domenico Scarlatti kūrybos bruožai bei klavyrinių sonatų sandaros ir muzikos kalbos ypatumai / The creative features of Domenico Scarlatti, characteristical structure and music language of piano sonatas

Navakaitė, Neringa 22 August 2013 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757) – one of the most famous Baroque epoch italian composer, harpsichordist, organist, pedagogue and performer. His harpsichord creativity is undoubted XVIII century phenomenon of music culture. D. Scarlatti piano works are realted to the period, when homophonic music language came over polyphonic style. Though the composer created various kind of compositions, the most important part of creativity is the harpsichord sonatas. These pieces monumentalized the name of the italian composer into the history of music life. He created more than 600 harpsichord sonatas, but today there are only about 500 available to performers. D. Scarlatti‘s harpsichord compositions named by him self „Essercizi per Gravicembalo“ (etudes, exercises, bipartitas for harpsichord). Most of these sonatas were useful in composers pedagogic work. In his sonatas, D. Scarlatti has associated technical exercises with artistical matters. Piano pieces of the italian maestro were titled by the name of sonatas, but of the features existent in them, we can collect these compositions into most important genres in music school repertoire: polyphonic structure compositions, etudes, big forms type pieces and various kind of plays. The composer was a spreader of this many novelty in his harpsichord creativity work and in performing it like a really virtuoso and big revolutionist. His works include such achievements as: sparkling scale passages through several octaves, various kind of... [to full text]

Kuncl Štillerová, Martina January 2015 (has links)

In the first chapter I describe Arcangelo Corelli ´s life in a historical context. In the second chapter I focus on musical forms whose development contributed Corelli and I also give a concentration on individual works. The third chapter is devoted to the field of issue of the ornamentation of 17th and 18th century as well as Corelli´s fifth opus, which is an indispensable source of knowledge to period - style ornamentation. I hope this work will serve as a source of information not only about extraordinary composer, but also contribute to clarify the issue of ornamentation of 17th 18th century which is still an area somewhat elusive for many musicians.
