Detta är en undersökande studie om historisk skönlitteratur i undervisningen i skolår 4-6. Huvudarbetet består av sexton kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare och elever. Det övergripande syftet har varit att undersöka vad skönlitteratur kan tillföra historieundervisningen i grundskolans årskurser 4-6. Detta har vi gjort genom att besvara våra frågeställningar: Hur används skönlitteratur i historieundervisningen i skolåren 4-6? På vilket sätt berikas historieundervisningen genom användning av skönlitteratur? På vilket sätt tycker lärarna att användandet av skönlitteratur i historieundervisningen bidrar till att ge eleverna ett större historiemedvetande? Våra resultat visar att historisk skönlitteratur används både som komplement och i fördjupningssyfte. Resultaten visar även att skönlitteraturen i stor utsträckning berikar historieundervisningen och bidrar till ett fördjupat historiemedvetande hos eleverna. / This is an examining study of historical fiction in the teaching in school years 4 to 6. The main part of the study consists of sixteen qualitative interviews with teachers and pupils. The overall purpose of the study has been to examine what fiction can convey to the history teaching in school years 4 to 6. In order to do so we have reached to answer our questions at issue: How is fiction used in history teaching in school years 4 to 6? In what way is the history teaching being enriched by the use of fiction? In what way do the teachers find that the use of fiction in the history teaching, contributes to give the pupils a concept of history? Our results show that fiction is used both as a complement and as a primary tool in teaching. The results also show that fiction to a greater extent enriches the history teaching, and contributes to the pupils’ concept of history.
