Esta tese investiga a obra de desenhos de Iberê Camargo, a partir de seu acervo na Fundação Iberê Camargo. A obra e as análises historicamente construídas sobre ela são vistas no contexto da modernidade brasileira, em um entrelaçamento dos discursos elaborados por sua crítica e pelas próprias declarações do artista. Salientamos um tipo de discurso moderno que é marcado pela exaltação da solidão artística e que conduz a um encobrimento das relações estabelecidas com outros artistas. Em conjunto com essa obra, é estudado o desenho como questão teórica específica, entendido em sua autonomia. Analisa-se, ao estudarmos a relação com outros artistas, o problema da influência como questão teórica particular, tendo origem nos estudos da Literatura Comparada e procurando estudar sua especificidade no campo da arte. Finalmente, procura-se elaborar uma teoria da influência, articulada com as teorizações sobre o desenho, que seja capaz de constituir-se em uma ferramenta útil para o estudo da obra desse artista, vista sob a perspectiva de sua relação com outras obras de outros artistas. / This thesis investigates the drawing work by Iberê Camargo, with reference to the collection at the Iberê Camargo Foundation in Porto Alegre. His work and the historical analyses constructed about him are seen in the context of Brazilian modernity, in function of the interlacing of discourses elaborated in criticism of his work and through the artist's own statements. We stress a type of modern discourse which is marked by the exaltation of artistic solitude and which leads toward the concealment of relationships he maintained with other artists. In conjunction with this artwork, drawing itself is studied as a specific theoretical subject, understood in its autonomy. In studying his relationships with other artists, we analyze the problem of influence, which is a particular theoretical issue having its origin in the studies of Comparative Literature, seeking its specificity in the field of art. Finally, we seek the elaboration of a theory of influence linked to theorizations about drawing which is capable of establishing a useful tool for the study of this artist's work seen through the perspective of his relationships with other artists and their artwork.

O texto procura relatar a trajetória de dois economistas que viveram ativamente as intensas transformações da segunda metade do século XX. As interpretações econômicas de Edmar Bacha e Pedro Malan sobre a realidade brasileira, publicadas do final dos anos 1960 aos anos 1980, estão imersas no contexto de uma Alta Modernidade periférica, caracterizada por expectativas de grandes transformações sociais, que seriam levadas a cabo por uma política governamental cientificamente informada e procuravam alçar a nação a patamares sociais estabelecidos pela realidade dos países desenvolvidos e pelos seus discursos. A partir de uma simbiose entre influências intelectuais regionais e internacionais isto é, autores latino-americanos e brasileiros e autores estrangeiros, principalmente norte-americanos as interepretações de ambos procurarão desvendar os caminhos para a superação do subdesenvolvimento, em um contexto nacional de autoritarismo que acaba por condicionar posturas e propostas. Considerados economistas de esquerda até praticamente os anos 1990, Bacha e Malan serão os mais experientes do grupo de economistas da PUC-Rio, testemunhas e personagens ativas do episódio de queda precipitada da Alta Modernidade brasileira, compelida e estimulada pelas diversas faces do fenômeno da globalização. / This text seeks to report the trajectory of two economists who actively lived the intense transformations of the second half of the twentieth century. The economic interpretations of Edmar Bacha and Pedro Malan on the Brazilian reality, published from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, are immersed in the context of a peripheral High Modernity, characterized by expectations of major social transformations that would be carried out by a government policy scientifically informed and sought to raise the nation to social levels established by the reality of developed countries and their speeches. From a symbiosis between regional and international intellectual influences - that is, Latin American and Brazilian authors and foreign authors, mainly North American authors - the interjections of both will seek to unravel the ways to overcome underdevelopment, in a national context of authoritarianism that ends up conditioning postures and proposals. Considered left-wing economists until the 1990s, Bacha and Malan will be the most experienced of PUC-Rio\'s group of economists, witnesses and active characters of the \"precipitate\" fall of the Brazilian High Modernity, compelled and stimulated by the various faces of the phenomenon of globalization.

Este trabalho trata do pensamento social conservador na modernidade brasileira contemporânea. O texto parte de uma análise da bibliografia consagrada sobre conservadorismo, modernidade contemporânea e brasileira, analisando suas categorias fundamentais e colocando-as em contraste com uma análise empírica do pensamento social de um grupo de indivíduos conservadores imersos na modernidade brasileira: o movimento escoteiro no Brasil. As conclusões indicam que o fenômeno do pensamento conservador brasileiro segue uma lógica própria, de um conservadorismo progressista, distinto daquele encontrado em outros países europeus e anglo-saxônicos. / This dissertation deals with the conservative social thought in contemporary Brazilian modernity. The text begins with a review of the literature devoted about conservatism and contemporary Brazilian modernity, analyzing its key categories and contrasting to an empirical analysis of social thought in a conservative group immersed in Brazilian modernity: the boy scout movement in Brazil. The conclusions indicate that the phenomenon of conservative thought in Brazil follows its own logic: a \"progressive conservatism\" as distinct from that one found in other European and Anglo-Saxon countries.
