En energieffektiv byggarbetsplats : En studie av Skanskas bostadsprojekt / An energy efficient building siteEnglund, Kristina January 2015 (has links)
The construction industry has demands on energy use in permanent buildings. How much energy that is permitted to use during the time the building is produced has no requirements. The purpose with this study is to learn how far Skanska has come with the work of making the building site more energy efficient. A literature study has been performed in the beginning of the study to survey what energy efficient arrangements that can be applied and how they operate. Using site visits and interviews the situations on the building sites have been studied as well as the energy efficient measure that are in use. Skanska has come a long way with the work of energy efficient building sites and they keep improving. They have improved half of their cabins so they use 50 % less energy. In the near future a cabin that use 84 % less energy can be used on the building sites. Skanska applies several different measures to reduce their energy consumption. The study has shown that a good way to save energy is to turn off the lights at the building sites when the staffs are not working. However, there is also the question about the working environment so it is up to the individual building site make the decision. A conclusion of the survey is that it is important to engage the employed in the work with energy efficient measure and get them to understand why the measure is used.

Upphandlingskrav utifrån energieffektiviseringsåtgärder i byggskedet / Procurement requirements as a result of energy efficient measures regarding the construction processHatami, Siamak, Inekci, Siyabend January 2015 (has links)
Due to an increased interest in a greener built environment and with the construction industry increasing its environmental commitment, more energy efficiency measures are being taken in those areas in need. Different parties have different responsibilities in the construction process Higher standards in the procurement of contractors and subcontractors concerning energy efficiency will result in collaboration between different parties and can resolve in a more energy efficient construction process. In the role as the project owner and as a real estate company, Fastighets AB Brostaden wants to investigate further feasible standards during procurement. The main goal, on this basis, is to evaluate feasible efficiency measures regarding construction barracks and transportation. The report shall culminate in specific procurement requirements. The vision is to from the owner’s perspective create incentives for the contractors and subcontractors and to act as the foundation for further work towards a more energy efficient construction process. There are about 40,000 construction barracks in Sweden and the most frequently used barracks are in the report termed as standard barracks. These are barracks used since the 1990 century and in which no energy efficiency measures have been taken. Even though there are many possible efficiency measures to be taken, few are profitable. This report examines which measures that are considered to be profitable and what requirements that are feasible to set within the procurement of contractors. The transportation of goods is responsible for a large part of Sweden's total emissions. The amount of emissions is affected by the choice of transport vehicles but also the overall planning. The report links occurring problems and associates them with current measures and possible savings.

Energieffektiva bodetableringar i byggbranschen : Fallstudie om energieffektiva byggbodar baserat på Kvarteret Fören i Karlstad / Energy-efficient construction site facilities in the construction industry : Case study on energy-efficient construction site facilities based on Kvarteret Fören in KarlstadHöij, Daniel January 2021 (has links)
The pace of Sweden's construction is at a level that has not been relevant since the 1970s. The high pace of construction together with an increased environmental awareness is a major challenge. The Swedish construction and real estate sector accounts for about 40% of the total energy use used for electricity and heating. In Sweden, there are between 50,000–60,000 construction site facilities and the majority have poor energy performance. The major players for the rental of construction site facilities in Sweden have a wide selection and offer energy-efficient solutions but also alternatives with poorer energy performance. According to earlier studies of energy consumption for a building during its life cycle, it has been reported that construction production accounts for 14% and operation for 85% of the total energy consumption. Recent studies have shown that a larger percentage of energy use is consumed in the production- and demolition stages. The new energy-efficient houses have significantly lower energy use in the user phase, the operation cost is lower than for older buildings. This in turn means that energy use during production can vary between 12-34%. The purpose and goal of the work are to investigate different actions and solutions that would mean a more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly establishment of construction site facilities. The work also addresses information with conditions regarding energy-efficient housing establishments. Based on the results that are worked out, a final proposal will be presented to presenters on the type of construction site facilities that Consto should aim to use to achieve ecological and economic sustainability. Methods that have been applied in the work were a case study of Kvarteret Fören in Karlstad, cost of living analysis (LCC), climate calculation, and literature study. Based on the study that has been carried out, the calculations from the reference object Kvarteret Fören have shown that there are cost incentives for the use of energy-efficient construction site facilities. Consto should aim to use Miljö A or construction site facilities with poorer energy performance and extra insulation in all projects to achieve financial sustainability. When using Miljö A there is potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 40%. With solar cells, there is the opportunity to make booth establishments completely self-sufficient. As a result, it would lead to a reduced operating cost and a lower climate impact. But in the current situation, there are some obstacles for companies to take this step. Finally, it can be said that ecologically and economically sustainable solutions can be combined. Investments in construction site facilities can provide short - or long-term profits
