Title Impact of compensation exercises on forward shoulder posture in sport climbers Aims The aim is to decide whether in climbers regulary performing compensation excercises occurs lower rate of forward shoulder posture than in non-excercising climbers. Methods The diploma thesis is a pilot study of quantitative nature with participation of 48 probands. The probands were sports climbers, men and women aged 18-35 with no shoulder pain or disorder. The minimal requiered climbing level was determined to VII UIAA. The data were gained by caliper measure of two anatomical points; cranial part of sternum and anterior part of acromion, both in natural posture and upright posture. All measurements were one-off with the aim to gather the data that were consequently processed and statistically analyzed. Results The results confirmed that compensation exercises have impact on forward shoulder posture. The results did not confirm the same values of protraction on both shoulders. Noggrannhet och precision vid beståndsuppskattning av mobilapplikationen KATAM / Accuracy and precision in stand measurements of the mobile application KATAMAndersson, Erik January 2019 (has links)
Syftet med arbetet var att utvärdera mobilapplikationen KATAM avseende noggrannhet, tidsåtgång, precision och praktisk användning i jämförelse med volymuppskattning med dataklave och skördarrapport. Resultatet vid diameterjämförelsen visar på snarlika uppskattningar från KATAM respektive dataklaven. KATAM hade högre medelgrundyta, 7 % och grövre medeldiameter, 3,7 %, i jämförelse med dataklaven. KATAM hade även överskattningar av medelstammen volym i jämförelse med skördarrapporten och dataklaven, från 2,5 % till 17,6 % beroende på vilket urval av provytor och vilken programversion av KATAM som användes. Underlaget från volymuppskattningar var litet och hade felkällor vilket gjorde resultaten från mätningarna osäkra. Trots att studien visade på en överskattning av diametern talar den inbördes precisionen för att KATAM skulle kunna bli ett alternativ till Dataklaven vid uppskattning av medeldiametern. / The purpose of this essay was to evaluate the mobile application KATAM of accuracy, time, precision and practical use in comparison to volume estimation with data Digital Caliper and harvester report. The result of the diameter comparison showed similar estimates from KATAM and the Digital Caliper respectively. KATAM had a higher mean basel area, 7% and coarser mean diameter, 3.7%, compared to the Digital Caliper. KATAM also had overestimations in volume as compared to the harvesting report and the Digital Caliper concerning the mean stem, from 2.5% to 17.6%, depending on which sample areas were included and which version of KATAM was used. However, the basis of volume estimates was small and had error sources, which made the results of the measurements uncertain. Although the study shows an overestimation of the diameter, the mutual precision indicates that KATAM could be an alternative to the Digital Caliper when estimating the mean diameter.

This thesis deals with the issue of overweight and obesity among children of 2nd elementary schools in Pacov. The author initially focused on findings regarding overweight, obesity and possibilities for prevention. Eventually deals with eating disorders and healthy lifestyle. The aim of the research was to determine the incidence of overweight and obesity in children at primary schools in Pacov. To obtain data applies skinfold calliper technique, skinfold measures, as well as body height and weight (for BMI). Data processed in tables and graphs. Only one pupil (of 112) was demonstrated by the percentage of fat obesity, overweight at 25 pupils (22,3 %).

This thesis is concerned with identifying the percentage of body fat students University of South Bohemia, the field of teaching for the first grade school and then comparing the results with 2005. The research took place in the months from May to October the 2011th. In this period was measured a total of 114 probands, of whom 106 women and 8 men. Measurement of body fat went through anthropometric methods, specifically the methodology used by Pařízková. Skinfold were measured using the brand Somet caliper with an accuracy of 0,2 mm. The resulting values are recorded in tables and graphs. The results show that compared with 2005, there was an increase in percent body fat in a group of men and women.

para estudantes da disciplina Metrologia em um curso profissionalizante do
Programa Nacional de Ensino Tecnológico – PRONATEC, sob responsabilidade do
Ministério da Educação – MEC (BRASIL, 2011). Tais alunos estão,
simultaneamente, matriculados em uma escola pública do ensino médio regular da
Região Metropolitana do Recife. Nessas escolas, como se sabe, eles estudam as
disciplinas Matemática e Física. Além disso, escolhemos focalizar nosso trabalho no
ensino do uso do paquímetro, dispositivo amplamente utilizado nas medições de
comprimento, no âmbito da indústria, dos serviços profissionais e nas ciências. O
quadro teórico adotado é a transposição didática (Chevallard, 1991). A medição de
comprimento requer a consideração de vários conceitos matemáticos, entre os quais
o de número racional (a medida de comprimento) bem como o da incerteza do
resultado dessa medição (o “erro de medida”). Optamos por investigar materiais
didáticos disponíveis para os estudantes do citado curso, em particular duas
apostilas de Metrologia e as coleções de Matemática de Física. Esses materiais
foram analisados do ponto de vista de se constituírem um dos elementos que
cumprem o papel de meios da transposição didática dos saberes em jogo. A análise
dos dados obtidos revelou vários pontos em que o saber estabelecido no campo das
grandezas e da medição de grandezas é abordado de modo inadequado, nos
materiais didáticos examinados. Isso conduz à hipótese de que fica comprometida
nesses materiais uma transposição didática que se apresente como um instrumento
eficaz de aprendizagem dos estudantes. / The aim of this work was to investigate the teaching of length measurement for
students Metrology course in a course of the National Technological Education
Program - PRONATEC, under the Ministry of Education - MEC (BRAZIL, 2011).
Such students are simultaneously enrolled in a public school in regular high school in
the Metropolitan Region of Recife. In these schools, as we know, they study subjects
Mathematics and Physics. In addition, we chose to focus our work in teaching the
use of vernier caliper, widely used device for length measurements in the industry,
professional services and science. The theoretical framework is the didactic
transposition (Chevallard, 1991). The length measurement requires consideration of
various mathematical concepts, including the rational number (gauge length) as well
as the uncertainty of the result of measurement (the "measurement error"). We chose
to investigate teaching materials available to students of that course, in particular two
booklets Metrology and collections of Mathematical Physics. These materials were
analyzed from the point of view of constituting one of the elements that play the role
of means of didactic transposition of knowledge into play. The data analysis revealed
several points where the established knowledge in the field of quantities and
measured variables is addressed improperly in teaching materials examined. This
leads to the hypothesis that is compromised in these materials a didactic
transposition that is presented as an effective learning tool for students.

Framtagning och utveckling av flerfunktionellt bromsok / Development and design of a multifunctional brake caliperNygren, William, Franzén, Noah January 2024 (has links)
The deficient market for technically smart solutions regarding brake caliperspresents an opportunity that GETECH AB intends to explore. The task wasassigned to the students to investigate how a brake caliper adapted for the rearaxle of cars can be integrated with an electrically driven parking brake and ahydraulic handbrake adapted for motorsport. The work began with a market survey to understand what is currently offeredand what is missing. Intensive brainstorming sessions and discussions werethen initiated to create multiple concepts with solutions to the problem.Subsequently, requirements and data were gathered to be translated into aspecification. This specification became the basis for the selection criteriaused in the Pugh matrix to rank the various concepts, ultimately resulting in awinning concept that would be further developed. The winning concept underwent several iterations to contribute to functionaland design improvements, ultimately resulting in the final version. To ensurethat the final version would meet the required strength standards, multiplestrength analyses and calculations were performed to guarantee functionalityand safety. The simulations showed that the brake caliper's strengththeoretically meets the functional requirements set by Swedish inspection and the Transport Agency regarding performance. Once the concept, modeling, and strength checks were completed,manufacturing began. Detailed CAM preparations with clearly reviewed toolselections and tool paths were created, along with favorable fixtures tofacilitate clamping possibilities. All of this was to ensure a manufacturingprocess that delivers a quality result from a three-axis CNC milling machine. When the brake caliper was fully manufactured, it was assembled withstandard components. The caliper was then installed on a demonstrator whereits functions could be visualized and demonstrated. The result was a rearmulti-piston brake caliper with three braking functions in a single compactmodule. The brake caliper was made from an aluminum alloy and consisted ofa total of 53 components, four of which were manufactured in the CNCmachine. / Den bristfälliga marknaden på tekniskt smarta lösningar gällande bromsok ären möjlighet som GETECH AB har som avsikt att studera. Uppdraget tilldelades till studenterna för att utreda hur ett bromsok anpassat för bilars bakre axel kan integreras med en elektriskt driven parkeringsbroms och hydraulisk handbroms anpassad för motorsport. Arbetet inleddes med att undersöka marknaden för att skapa en förståelse för vad som erbjuds idag och vad som saknas. Därefter startades intensivabrainstorm sessioner och diskussioner för att skapa flertalet olika koncept med lösningar på problemet. Sedan samlades önskemål och data in för att översättas och föras in i en kravspecifikation. Kravspecifikationen blevgrunden till de urvalskriterier som sedan användes i Pugh-matrisen för att rangordna de olika koncepten som slutligen skulle resultera i ett vinnande koncept vilket skulle vidareutvecklas. Det vinnande konceptet genomgick flera iterationer för att bidra med funktion och designförbättringar för att till slut resultera i den slutliga versionen. För att konstatera att den slutliga versionen skulle uppnå de hållfasthetskrav som ställs utfördes flertalet hållfasthetsanalyser och beräkningar för att säkerställa funktion och säkerhet. Simuleringarna visade att bromsokets hållfasthet teoretiskt klarar de funktionskrav som svensk besiktning och Transportstyrelsen har gällande prestanda. När koncept, modellering och hållfasthetskontroller var utförda påbörjades tillverkning. Utförliga CAM beredningar med tydligt genomgångnaverktygsval och verktygsvägar skapades. Även gynnsamma fixturer för underlättandet av uppspänningsmöjligheter. Allt detta för att säkerställa en tillverkningsprocess som ger ett kvalitativt resultat från en tre-axlig CNC fräs. När bromsoket var färdigtillverkat monterades det ihop tillsammans med standardkomponenter. Därefter installerades oket på en demonstrator där bromsokets funktioner kunde visualiseras och demonstreras. Resultatet blev ett bakre flerkolvigt bromsok med tre bromsfunktioner i en enda kompakt modul. Bromsoket tillverkades ur en aluminiumlegering och bestod av totalt53 komponenter varav fyra var tillverkade i CNC-maskinen.

The aim of this thesis is to create a design rear upright for a racing Formula Student category car. It is necessary to propose a design group of the rear wheel assembly with the upright with all requirements related thereto, for example solutions camber settings. Everything is modeled using the CAD system. There is developed computational model which is placed in ballast states of strain and stress analysis by finite element method. There is also designed a suitable material for the production of the rear upright which is optimized. The conclusion deals with the inclusion of the proposed arrangement in the overall vehicle assembly and is concluded with evaluation and suitability of the proposed solution.
