De nos jours, l'utilisation accrue de combustibles à base de fossiles et l'électricité met en péril l'environnement naturel à cause des niveaux élevés de pollution. Il est donc plausible de prévoir des économies d'énergie significatives grâce à la climatisation dite «naturelle»». En accord avec les objectifs acceptés à l'échelle internationale d'une architecture «verte» et durable, l'utilisation de cours intérieures associées aux capteurs de vent, aux murs-Trombe et à d'autres systèmes de climatisation naturelle (aussi bien traditionnels que nouveaux), paraît prometteuse. Ce mémoire propose une analyse de nouvelles approches à la climatisation naturelle et à la production d'air frais avec une consommation minimale d'énergie, eu égard aux traditions et aux tendances, en particulier dans les zones climatiques chaudes et sèches comme l'Iran. Dans ce contexte, regarder l'architecture de l'Islam et la discipline du Qur'an paraissent offrir un guide pour comprendre l'approche musulmane aux processus de décision en design. Nous regardons donc les traditions et les tendances en ce qui concerne la climatisation naturelle à travers l'élément le plus important du contexte islamique, à savoir le Qur'an. C'est pourquoi, à l'intérieur du thème de la tradition, nous avons pris en compte quelques considérations concernant l'influence de l'Islam, et en particulier le respect de la nature associé à un équilibre entre l'harmonie et l'individualité. Ce sont autant de facteurs qui influencent la prise de décisions visant à résoudre des problèmes scientifiques majeurs selon la philosophie et les méthodes islamiques ; ils nous permettent de faire quelques recommandations. La description des principes sous-jacents aux capteurs à vent et des antécédents trouvés dans la nature tels que les colonies de termites, est présentée également. Sous la rubrique tendances, nous avons introduit l'utilisation de matériaux et de principes de design nouveaux. Regarder simultanément ces matériaux nouveaux et l'analogie des colonies de termites suggère de bonnes approches à la conception d'abris pour les victimes de tremblements de terre dans les régions sisimques. Bam, une ville iranienne, peut être considérée comme un exemple spécifique illustrant où les principes exposés dans ce mémoire peuvent s'appliquer le plus adéquatement. / Nowadays due to the increased use of fossil fuels and electricity, the natural environment is in danger because of high levels of pollution. Hence by creating natural air conditioning, we may save a significant amount of energy. In line with the global objective of sustainable and green architecture, the use of patios to save energy and natural ventilation coupled with wind- catchers, Trombe walls and other natural air conditioning systems (both traditional and emerging architectural elements) seems pertinent. This thesis analyzes designs to produce natural air conditioning and cooler air with the minimum amount of energy, with regard to the tradition and the trends, especially in hot and dry climate regions like Iran. In this context, looking to Islamic Architecture and the Qur’anic discipline of thought are considered as a guide to the way Muslims approach the design-decision making process. We therefore look to the traditions and the trends of natural air conditioning through the most important element of the Islamic context (the Qur’an). So, within the theme of "tradition", we have introduced some thinking about the influence of Islam and particularly the respect of nature while providing for a balance between harmony and individuality, such as proposing one special kind of decision-making process to solve the main scientific problems according to the Islamic philosophy and the accompanying methods, suggesting some recommendations. Descriptions of (a) the principles of wind-catchers and (b) antecedents in nature such as the termite hills are pursued as well. Under "trends", we have introduced the use of novel materials and novel design principles. Looking at the new materials and simultaneously at the analogy of the termite mounds suggests one good sample of design of a shelter for people in earthquake-prone regions. Bam, an Iranian city, can be considered to be a specific context in which the general considerations expressed in this thesis can be most usefully applied.

The thesis focuses on repair preparation of Ion Filters at nuclear power plants cleaning units. The thesis shortly describes cleaning units of primary and secondary circuit where Ion Filters and Ion Catchers are implemented. The thesis introduces summary of convenient method for welding of thin filtration plates from austenitic materials to collecting pipe including convenient technology for fabrication of narrow loop holes in filtration plates. The aim of thesis is to propose convenient execution of repair and manufacturing of spare parts after different kind of damage of filter internals. Part of the thesis is welded joints quality verification on the testing sample including result of provided test, its evaluation and Ion Filters repair economical evaluation as well.

My thesis deals with the design of an experimental emergency cooling device of the reactor pressure vessel (RPV). It consists of two parts, the theoretical one and practical one. Different molten corium cooling methods in terms of their efficiency and comparison are introduced in the theoretical part. The design of an experimental emergency cooling device, which incorporates a model channel past the reactor pressure vessel , is presented in the practical part. The cooling device consists of a model channel past the reactor pressure vessel, condensator, which takes away the heat generated by the reactor pressure vessel and the pump of a secondary loop. Next, thermal and hydraulic calculations are given in this section. The conclusion is devoted to the evaluation of particular cooling technologies and their comparison in terms of nuclear and technical safety.

The thesis Catcher in the Rye and A Perfect Day for Bananafish - Motif analysis deals with motif analysis of these two literary works by J. D. Salinger. Analysis of the basic motifs of these works reveals the symbolism of Salinger's literary world, where the main themes are childhood, growing up and alienation. Essential role when presenting motifs goes to the main characters, who in these works are very distinctive, therefore they also need to be analyzed. In question of theory, the thesis is based on Boris Tomashevskyˈs concept of motif and narratological perspective of Tomáš Kubíček or Lubomír Doležel. Apart of the analysis itself the theses deals with questions of the relevance in the genre classification of the novel Catcher in the Rye as a Bildungsroman and whether Salinger idealizes childhood in his works or not.

Création Dans le roman Sous la Tiffany, Mikaël Langevin, le personnage principal, vit une pénible remise en question. Dans les derniers mois, il a délibérément sabordé son couple, sa vie sociale et même sa santé en misant tout sur sa réussite professionnelle en tant qu'enseignant. Tout pour une carrière où, selon sa perception, il ne réussit pas comme il l'aurait souhaité. Une nuit de la fin d'août, attablé devant des dizaines de cahiers noircis de sa main, il revisite un journal tenu chaque soir de l'été qui s'achève, un été pendant lequel de nombreuses fenêtres sur le passé auront été ouvertes, puis refermées. Le jour poindra dans quelques heures, il le sait bien. Mais nul éclairage ne le sert mieux que celui de la vieille Tiffany. Réflexion La deuxième partie, une réflexion d'ordre narratologique sur la dynamique de l'écart et ses procédés (analepse, prolepse, sommaire, scène, pause, ellipse, digression), vise à expliciter ce qui m'a tant séduit dans Hotaru, d'Aki Shimazaki, et dans L'Attrape-coeurs, de Jerome David Salinger, deux romans primés1 où les procédés d'écart sont habilement exploités. J'indiquerai aussi où, comment et pourquoi j'ai utilisé ces procédés dans Sous la Tiffany. Le but, au final, est de montrer comment la dynamique de l'écart contribue à accrocher le lecteur et à enrichir le récit, à conférer au texte le caractère évocateur si présent dans les oeuvres littéraires de Shimazaki et de Salinger.

Ce mémoire de maîtrise propose une étude détaillée des répercussions sociales et psychologiques des évènements traumatiques sur le développement de l’enfant en utilisant trois Bildungsromane importants, The Catcher in the Rye de J.D. Salinger, The Outsiders de S.E. Hinton et The Perks of Being a Wallflower de Stephen Chbosky. En me basant sur les études de Cathy Caruth, Shoshana Felman, Ronald Granofsky, Dominick LaCapra, Dori Laub et Judith Lewis Herman, je démontre que les expériences traumatiques ont des effets contradictoires, mais indissociables sur l’évolution psychologique de l’enfant, à savoir de ralentir et d’accélérer le passage de l’enfance au monde adulte. J’explique que Holden Caulfield, Ponyboy Curtis et Charlie font preuve de comportements qui dévoilent la paralysie que peuvent entraîner les traumatismes psychologiques et qui peut forcer l’enfant à demeurer immature et innocent. Ensuite, j’illustre que ces mêmes expériences traumatiques, et l’acceptation de celles-ci peuvent finir par pousser l’enfant à brusquement atteindre la maturité. Ce mémoire souligne également l’importance du témoignage dans la guérison et dans l’éventuel passage de l’enfance à l’âge adulte. Considérant son omniprésence dans les romans pour jeunes adultes, le témoignage et ses ramifications seront analysés dans chaque chapitre. Au fil des trois chapitres, j’analyse chaque roman de façon indépendante, j’évalue la réaction de chaque personnage face aux expériences traumatiques et j’établis la nomenclature et les liens qui permettent une conversation entre les trois romans. Bien que les trois œuvres étudiées proposent différents modèles de réponses psychologiques aux traumatismes, chaque roman entre en dialogue avec l’autre. L’objectif de ce mémoire est donc d’offrir de nouvelles perspectives sur les trois histoires, tout en démontrant les corrélations qui les unissent et qui contribuent à la compréhension de chaque œuvre. Ainsi, ce mémoire se veut un outil pour établir une conception globale du rôle des expériences traumatiques dans la littérature pour jeunes lecteurs. / This thesis examines the psychological and social repercussions of trauma on a child’s maturation process using three landmark novels of the Bildungsroman genre, J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye, S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, and Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Grounding my analysis on the findings of trauma theorists Cathy Caruth, Shoshana Felman, Ronald Granofsky, and Dominick LaCapra, and psychiatrists Dori Laub and Judith Lewis Herman, I demonstrate that trauma can occupy two contradictory but inextricably linked functions in the maturation process, that of both hindering and catalyzing a child’s coming-of-age. I demonstrate that Holden Caulfield, Ponyboy Curtis, and Charlie all display behaviours that suggest the paralyzing nature of trauma and its initial ability to prevent the child from growing up. I then argue that trauma, or the acceptance of one’s traumatic past, has the potential to accelerate the maturation process. My study also highlights the importance of the testimonial process in the recovery from trauma and the character's ensuing maturity. Because of the omnipresence of testimony in young people’s literature, its ramifications and implications are explored in each chapter of this thesis. Through the use of close reading, I study each work independently, evaluate each character’s individual response to trauma, and establish the thematic vocabulary and the interlinks that allow a conversation between the three novels. Although the studied works propose different types of traumatic negotiation and response, each novel is dialogically linked with the other. This thesis offers new readings of each novel, while establishing insightful comparisons between the three works. The intent of this thesis is therefore to contribute to the assessment of each narrative and to a general understanding of the role of trauma in young people’s literature.
