Impact of electric vehicle charging on thedistribution grid in Uppsala 2030 / Påverkan av laddning av elfordon på distributionsnätet i Uppsala 2030

Planning of distribution grids is based on statistically estimating the maximum load that will occur given a certain range of criteria (location, household types, district / electric heating etc.) Charging of electric vehicles is not one of these criteria. However, given the expected `boom' in sales of Chargeable Electric Vehicles (CEVs), and the lengthy planning process of distribution grids (>10 years) the knowledge gap is becoming a more pressing issue. This research has been conducted to investigate if Vattenfall, a Swedish electric utility company with distribution assets in both Sweden and Germany, needs to take action to react to the expected increase in CEVs in the near term. The study has been conducted with Uppsala Municipality as a showcase and 2030 as the time frame. The findings of this study show that Vattenfall should incorporate CEV usage into distribution planning to avoid overload of power stations in Uppsala by 2030. The ndings shows that 1) we can expect a 'boom' in sales of CEVs in the near future and that 73% of cars in trac in Uppsala may be CEVs by 2030 and 2) that CEV charging is expected to have a signi- cant impact on the distribution grid, with certain power stations in Uppsala seeing a peak load increase of up to 30%. The recommended actions are the following: • Monitor specific areas with a high concentration of cars and low energy consumption per household that already have substations with capacity below the recommended dimensions • Monitor CEV sales to reevaluate current projections on CEV development in Uppsala • Monitor trends of car ownership and evaluate whether this will aect CEV charging behaviour • Reconstruct Velander constants, used for grid planning, to take the CEV load into consideration • Investigate smart charging solutions, to shift the CEV load peak to a different time of the day / Dimensionering av distributionsnat baseras pa att statistiskt uppskatta den maximala lasten som kommer att intraa pa natet, givet olika faktorer (geograskt lage, hushallstyp, fjarrvarme / elvarme etc.). Laddning av elbilar ar inte en av de faktorer som man tar hansyn till. Givet en vantat kraftig okning av laddningsbara bilar, samt den langa planeringshorisonten for distributionsn at (>10 ar), blir dock fragan hur elbilar kommer att paverka elnatet valdigt aktuell. Denna studie har bedrivits for att avgora hur Vattenfall, ett statligt, svenskt elbolag med distributionsnat i Sverige och Tyskland, behover agera for att anpassa sig till den forvantade okningen av elbilar. Den har studien har genomforts som en fallstudie pa Uppsala Kommun med ar 2030 som tidsram. Resultaten fran studien visar att Vattenfall bor ta hansyn till laddning av elbilar vid dimensionering av distributionsnat for att undvika overbelastning pa natstationer i Uppsala ar 2030. Resultaten visar dels att 1) man kan forvanta sig en kraftig okning av forsaljning av laddningsbara fordon inom en snar framtid och uppemot 73 % av alla bilar i trak i Uppsala kommer att vara laddningsbaraar 2030 samt att 2) laddningsbara fordon kommer att ha en signikant paverkan pa distributionsnatet med okningar pa upp till 30 % av maxlasten for vissa natstationer. Foljande atgarder rekommenderas saledes: • Overvaka specika omraden med hog biltathet och lag energianvandning per hushall som ar anslutna till natstationer som ar underdimensionerade • Folj utvecklingen av forsaljning av laddbara fordon for att omvardera genom forda projektioner over laddningsbara bilar i Uppsala • Overvaka trender inom bilagande och utvardera hur detta paverkar laddningsbeteende • Gor om Velanderkonstanter sa att de tar hansyn till lasten fran laddbara fordon vid planering av elnat •  Utvardera smarta laddningslosningar for att ytta last fran elbilsladdning till en annan tidpunkt pa dygnet

Computation and Simulation of the Effect of Microstructures on Material Properties

Methods for and computed results of including the physics and spatial attributes of microstructures are presented for a number of materials applications in devices. The research in our group includes applications of computation of macroscopic response of material microstructures, the development of methods for calculating microstructural evolution, and the morphological stability of structures. In this review, research highlights are presented for particular methods for computing the response in: 1) ferroelectric materials for actuator devices; 2) coarse-graining of atomistic data for simulations of microstructural evolution during processing; 3) periodic and non-periodic photonic composites; and 4) re-chargeable battery microstructures. / Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA)

時間壓力對會計師事務所查帳人員工作態度影響之研究

本研究主要在探討會計師事務所查帳人員在面臨時間壓力的情況下,對其查帳工作態 度的影響。根據以往的研究,查帳人員面臨時間壓力時,生理上、心理上有重大變化 。本研究則主要著重於在時間壓力下,查帳人員於查帳工作本身的影響。在心理學上 ,人格特質對個人工作態度會有重大影響,故本研究將此變數納入,藉以測試在不同 人格特質下,於不同工作壓力情境下,對查帳工作態度之影響,至所謂工作態度,本 研究係指以下三項變數: ヾ低報查帳時間(Underreporting chargeable time) ゝ挪報查帳時間(Shifting chargeable time) ゞ降低查帳品質(Reducing audit quality) 研究結果:發現人格特質愈傾向A類型者,在時間壓力大時,較不會有這三種情形出 現,反之,人格特質為B類型者,較易有這三種情形出現。但如果時間壓力不大時, 則無論人格特質為何,則三種情形皆不顯著發生。

Effets thermoélectriques dans des liquides complexes : liquides ioniques et ferrofluides / Thermoelectric effects in complex liquids : ionic liquids and ferrofluids

Les liquides complexes sont des matériaux très prometteurs pour réaliser la conversion bon marché et à grande échelle d’énergie thermique en énergie électrique, dans un contexte de réchauffement climatique et de maîtrise de la consommation d’énergie. Nous montrons qu’en présence d’un couple redox, les cellules thermogalvaniques à base de liquides ioniques (NEA et EMIMTFSI) présentent des propriétés remarquables tels des coefficients Seebeck de plus de 5 mV/K (Eu³⁺/Eu²⁺ dans l’EMIMTFSI). De même, ces travaux présentent l’utilisation de ferrofluides, solutions colloïdales (aqueuses ou à base de solvants organiques) de nanoparticules magnétiques (maghémite), pour accroître le coefficient Seebeck et le courant extractible de générateurs thermoélectriques liquides. Les phénomènes réversibles d’adsorption des nanoparticules sur la surface des électrodes jouent également un rôle important sur les propriétés thermoélectriques de ces solutions, et sont modifiés par l’application de champs magnétiques homogènes parallèles ou perpendiculaires au gradient de température.En l’absence d’un couple redox, les liquides ioniques peuvent être utilisés pour fabriquer des supercondensateurs à charge thermique. Ces derniers exploitent les modifications avec la température des double couches électriques aux interfaces liquide/électrode. Nous avons étudié ici ces modifications de double couches dans l’EMIMBF4 par simulations numériques de Monte-Carlo. Les résultats démontrent un accroissement conséquent des propriétés thermoélectriques lors de la dilution du liquide ionique dans un solvant organique, l’acétonitrile, en accord qualitatif avec les résultats expérimentaux. / Complex liquids are promising material for low cost and wide scale conversion of thermal energy to electric energy, within a context of global warming and control of the energy consumption.In this work we showed that with a redox couple, ionic liquid (EAN and EMIMTFSI) based thermogalvanic cells present remarkable thermoelectric properties such as the Seebeck coefficient over 5 mV/K (Eu³⁺/Eu²⁺ in EMIMTFSI). Moreover, we demonstrated for the first time that ferrofluids, colloidal solutions (aqueous or organic solvent based) of magnetic nanoparticles (maghemite), can be used to increase both the Seebeck coefficient and the electric current in liquid thermoelectric generators through unknown physical processes. The importance of reversible adsorption phenomena of the nanoparticles on the electrodes’ surface for the thermoelectric properties of these solutions was revealed. That can be further modified by a homogeneous magnetic field applied perpendicular or parallel to the temperature gradient. Without a redox couple, ionic liquids can be used to build thermally chargeable supercapacitors. They take advantage of temperature dependent electrical double-layer formation at liquid/electrode interfaces. Here, we studied these double-layer modifications in EMIMBF4/platinum through Monte-Carlo simulations. The results show substantial modifications in the thermoelectric properties when the ionic liquid is diluted in an organic solvent, acetonitrile. These results are qualitatively consistent with experimental measurements.

The work evaluated on the basis of commonly available data some of the implications of collection toll of highway D1 and D5. It focuses on identifying potential alternative routes by using statistics of national traffic census. On these routes it evaluates the changes of traffic safety, which can show the change of traffic intensity of trucks. Next part evaluates potential economic benefits of bypassing toll routes. In the end it notes possible scenarios of impacts extended toll zones to the above fact findings.
