Vliv lučního managementu na migrační chování vybraných druhů motýlů / Influence of meadow management on the migration behavior of selected species of butterflies

Bubová, Terezie January 2016 (has links)
Migrations are the key process and one of the basic biological features, which allow survival of endangered species in fragmented landscape. In the last decades, agriculture intensification, industry and urbanization caused that number of natural butterfly habitats has significantly decreased. The localities originally suitable for butterflies are currnetly converted to farmland or building plots. This PhD thesis aimed to find a compromise solution of meadow management, which should allow a commercial use and concurrently do not jeopardize the continued existence of endangered or threatened species. The main idea of this study was in the intentional emigration causing in the middle of flight period, which should lead into resettlement of the population to another (potentially more suitable) locality. Possibility of aimed manipulation with butterfly emigrations would be considered as a major breakthrough in their protection. The investigated species Phengaris nausithous (Bergsträsser, 1779) and Phengaris teleius (Bergsträsser, 1779) are both considered to be flagship species for protection of European butterflies at open meadows. This study is based on research, which was carried out in 2013-2015 at 17 patch in localities Dolní Labe, Czech Republic. In above mentioned years, one selected meadow was mowed in the middle of flight season and the emigrations were then monitored using mark-release-recapture method. Results of population and migration characteristics were calculated in MARK 8.1 software. Subsequently, the effect of mowing on emigration (comparison of emigrations from the meadow before and after mowing) was evaluated using Statistica 13. The hypotheses of this study were based on the assumption, that the loss of resources after well-timed mowing should increase the activity of adult butterflies. During the monitoring, number of emigrations was increased only in flight season 2015. Unfortunately, the statistical evaluation did not show significant effect of mowing on migrations. On the other hand, the hypothesis dealing with colonization of nearest meadows was confirmed. Effect of intentional emigration caused by management interventions was unfortunately not proved. However, we found out, that even though the population at one mowed meadow decreased clearly, the metapopulation size at the locality remained more or less stable. At investigated (mowed) meadow, there was observed a sharp decline of P. nausithous abundance. On the other hand, P. teleius population was only slightly reduced. It is therefore conceivable, that P. teleius are not as susceptible to innapropriate term of mowing. The results obtained in our research conclusively displayed no possible positive effect of mowing in the middle of flight season and a necessity of suitable management maintenance at localities inhabited by Phengaris butterflies.

Vliv vojenské činnosti na diverzitu a výskyt plazů v CHKO Brdy / Impact of military operations on diversity and occurrence of reptiles in protected landscape area Brdy

VOSKA, Václav January 2017 (has links)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to prove impacts of military, especially artillery activities on populations of reptiles. For our research was chosen the territory of central Brdy which was more than eighty years used by Armed Forces of the Czech Republic for training of artillery troops Jince. In the past there operated Armed Forces of Czechoslovakia or Armed Forces of Czechoslovakia Federative Republic. The Protected Landscape Area Brdy has been extended on the majority of former military district territory since 2016. The goal of the thesis is to elaborate the literary recherché which compares suitability of disruption management in various military space and Protected Landscape Areas. On the basis of personal monitoring of reptiles and earlier results we found out diversity and expansion of reptiles in Protected Landscape area Brdy and influence of previous or current military activities on reptiles. Achieved results will be compared with the other military area and Protected Landscape Areas. The outcome of this thesis will be also the proposal for perspective protection of reptiles in areas with present or past military activities.

Pítko pro ptáky / Drinking place for bird

PECHOVÁ, Michaela January 2013 (has links)
I follow up a large topic in the thesis: a bird. A bird that is living in wildlife. A bird that is appearing in the Protected Area of Třeboňsko. A bird, as a fiery Fénix. A bird that is appearing in a picture of Vincent van Gogh. I have tried to explain historical perceiving of birds in the beginning of the thesis. I have concentrated on birds in general in a second half of the thesis, I have described what kinds of birds return to the Czech Republic after winter and which ones spend winter here. Because my drinking place for birds is placed to our garden that is in the Protected Area of Třeboňsko I have concentrated on other characteristic of this area and of garden biotope. Then I have solved important conditions that the ideal drinking place for birds must meet. In the other half of the thesis, I have devoted to mythic animals inspired by birds and art where birds are holders of a hidden symbol. After that I have made a drinking place for birds from ceramic that is corresponding with all important conditions and I have placed it to exterior. I have chosen our garden.

Porovnání a zhodnocení výsadeb řízkovanců jalovce obecného (Juniperus communis) z let 1981-1985, původem z PR Mšály / Comparison and evaluation explantates plantings of juniper (Juniperus communis), originally from PR Mšály (1981-1985)

BUBLÍK, Martin January 2018 (has links)
Common juniper (Juniperus communis) is a tree or a shrub. This species is original in the Czech Republic which was very widespread in the landscape. It is from the lowland to the mountain range, which means that it is completely unmistakable for the soil species. It is classified as a critically endangered species in the Czech Republic, due to changes in landscape management. The aim of this work was mapping and surveying the situation on the mentioned localities, where the research was carried out in 2004-2005 and in 2015. At the Na Mšálech locality there were found 135 individuals. Based on the data found, the overall health condition was greatly aggravated by the populations under study, specifically at the Paris site.

Obojživelníci CHKO Blaník / Amphibians of the Protected landscape area Blaník

ČANDA, Jan January 2007 (has links)
The principal aim of this diploma thesis was the mapping of amphibian species inhabiting the Protected Landscape Area Blaník. The field research was carried out during the years 2005 to 2006. The occurrence of following 8 species and 1 synklepton was confirmed: Smooth Newt (Triturus vulgaris), Warty Newt (Triturus cristatus), Alpine Newt (Triturus alpestris), Fired Bellied Toad (Bombina bombina), Common Spadefood (Pelobates fuscus), Common Toad (Bufo bufo), European Tree Frog (Hyla arborea), Grass Frog (Rana temporaria) and Water Frogs (Rana synklepton esculenta). The determination was performed on the basis of morphologic characters and voice expressions. During the field research suitable reproductive habitats of particular species were studied with respect to numbers of specimens found there. Based on presented results, habitats valuable for protection mere marked. The records of particular species were written into maps of the species occurance.
