The focus of diploma thesis is the analysis of present state of a farm and following evaluation its suitability for business in the system of organic production considering site conditions, structure of the company, its specialization, human factors and economical aspects. The theoretical part deals with problematics of organic agriculture and its sustainability, support of organic farmers and factors which influence farming in protected landscape areas. The practical part of the thesis is focused on evaluation of present state of the farm. Plant production and livestock production are evaluated together with possibilities of accommodation services as non-productive activities of the farm. For the evaluation of the company in terms of its suitability for business in organic agriculture SWOT analysis has been used. In conclusion, suitability of the farm for business in organic agriculture practices is evaluated. Furthermore, recommendations and proposals for initiation of the activities are added.

This paper, deals with the status of the flora around the village Dobčice, which is located in the northern part of the Protected Landscape Area Blanský les. The area of interest covers an area of 12.6 hectares and includes two nature reserves: NR Chřášťanský vrch and NR Vysoká Běta. In the teritory are located eleven types of terestrial biotopes, for which was created 35 phytosociological relevés, including their photographs and localization. Further fieldwork that was carried out in the theritory was floristic survey. In the monitored area was found total of 264 species of plants and mosses. Six of these species is classified in the 3rd edition of the Red List of vascular plants of the Czech Republic. For each of the found species was created an entry in the herbarium.

The presented diploma thesis concerns with a study of historic and contemporary human influence on the region of Valašská Polanka. The changes in landscape are evaluated by comparing historic maps and sources with its actual condition. Segments of land in the landscape park (Javorníky) as well as outside of it (Vizovické Hills) were selected for further examination and were charted from the perspective of their biotopes. The charted areas include parts of agrarian domains, in this case extensively utilized pastures. The segments mapped on these sites were divided into various categories according to the landscape features (wetland, forest borderland, dispersed greenery). A collection of precaution steps for these features was created, based on the newly gained information. The paper also includes possibilities of application of subsidy programs in agriculture.

Common juniper (Juniperus communis subs. Communis) is a shrub or a tree original in Czech Republic which was widespread there in the past. It grows either in lowlands or in mountains and it is undemanding to the soil. Nowadays, there is a lower number of it because of economic transformation in landscape. In consequence of this, it is on the list of endangered species of Czech Republic. The aim of this project was to chart the current state of population of common juniper in region "Mšály" (in The Protected Landscape Area of Třeboňsko). 144 living specimens were founded there. Dendrometry, mensuration of the specimens by GPS and drawing the new maps was realised. Another aim was comparison of the new data with the results of the research in 2004 2007. It was ascertained, that the observed population has a decreasing tendency in it's quantity. The average height of a specimen in the population has grew from 0,8 m to 4,9 m since 2007.

The thesis describes the horizontal and vertical structure of two permanent research plots with the developmental stages of the tree layer of native beech stands in NPR Broumov in the area CHKO Broumov nature reserve in the Sudetenland. The horizontal structure of the tree layer is random and in the developmental stages of natural regeneration. The average number of individuals natural recovery is around 15 100 individuals per hectare.

The aim of this work was to realize some regular monitoring of nesting occurrence of Reed-warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus), measure all nesting parameters of each found nest {--} nesting placing in a vegetation, characteristic of vegetation, running of nesting {--} and explain which factors should play a role in a seizing of these localities {--} to explain a measure of nesting predation by way of artificial nests. Statistically analyze these parameters and find some dependence and relations which should influence running or success of nesting.

The Tourism Potential of Former Military Areas: The Case of the Brdy Military Region Abstract The thesis deals with tourism as an alternative which can replace the military function of former military areas. The first part of the thesis is focused on the aspects connected to the conversion of former military areas into tourist attractions, including specific options of tourist attractions use and associated forms of tourism. The second part is dedicated to the case study of the conversion of the Brdy Military Region. Its goal is to analyse media discourse on conversion of the Brdy Military Region and to point out its central topics, stakeholders and changes in time. Based on a field research, the thesis consequently examines current attitudes of local stakeholders with an emphasis on tourism. The thesis also includes an analysis of tourism potential of the former Brdy Military Region together with its surrounding area. The thesis deals with the issue of sustainable tourism development in protected landscape area of the Iron Mountains. The main objective is to evaluate the current status and potential of the region on issues of sustainable tourism development, sustainable forms of tourism and evaluate conservation in the PLA Iron Mountain. The theoretical part is devoted to sustainable development, sustainable development of tourism and the area of the Iron Mountains. The practical part is to map the nature and landscape protection in the PLA Iron Mountain with regard to small-scale protected areas and analyze friendly forms of tourism. Followed by evaluation of the awareness of sustainable development of the territory by questionnaire from the perspective of local public administration in tourism, residents PLA and business owners. Last theoretical part is the SWOT analysis and recommendations for the future.

Možnosti rozvoje udržitelného cestovního ruchu na území CHKO Brdy / Sustainable tourism development in the Brdy Protected Landscape Area

The diploma thesis deals with the development of sustainable tourism in protected areas. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of sustainable tourism development in the protected area. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the issue in general terms. The problem is practically solved on the example of Brdy Protected Landscape Area (PLA). An identification for localization and implementation conditions for the development of sustainable tourism has been realized within the analysis of the examined areas potential. This identification was conducted as an empirical investigation with the representatives of the interested municipalities, local action groups and other organizations. The acquired knowledge has been reviewed with the PLA representatives opinions. Summarizing all gained knowledge, the PLA Brdy has been assessed as area that fulfils the prerequisites for the sustainable tourism development. Due to the character of the area, the development must be implemented only in the environment friendly forms.
