Investiga dentro da área de Ciência da Informação a o controlo de autoridade de assunto no âmbito da arquivística, mais especificamente no Arquivo Digital da Fundação Instituto Arquitecto José Marques da Silva. O propósito desse trabalho é a construção de uma lista de controlo de autoridade de assunto, elaborada especificamente para a FIMS. Proporcionando a transformação de termos cadastrados em linguagem natural para uma linguagem controlada, elaborada a partir dos termos já cadastrados na plataforma AtoM. Este é um estudo de caso único e natureza exploratória que se utiliza das técnicas: pesquisa documental, observação, observação participante e análise de conteúdo. Do ponto de vista teórico realizou-se busca, seleção e leitura dos textos que tratam do controlo de autoridade de assunto e a indexação na área da arquivística, para compor a construção de conhecimentos necessários às perguntas e respostas que o desenvolvimento de um projeto de investigação requer de seus executores. Adentrando nas leituras sobre os SOCs, SKOS, vocabulários controlados, taxonomia e ainda apresentando exemplos de índices, dando destaque ao Tesauro de Arte e Arquitetura (AAT). Para compor esse conhecimento exploramos as normas que tratam sobre a organização do conhecimento e da indexação, em especial a ISO 25.964-1:2011, que trata de Tesauro para recuperação de informação. E ainda estudamos os arquivos digitais e os arquivos da rede, completando assim a revisão de literatura. No decorrer do trabalho prático, a coleta de dados determinou a extensão da lista de termos a serem analisados, um por um a luz do AAT e da Lista de termos de indexação já existente na FIMS. A seguir identificou-se os conceitos de acordo com o Dicionário ilustrado de Arquitetura, para os termos específicos e os dicionários: Priberam e Infopédia, para os termos gerais. A partir disso, foi elaborada a lista com termos controlados. Dentre as conclusões pontuou-se a necessidade de integrar a Lista de autoridade de assunto, fruto desse trabalho, com a Lista de termos de indexação da FIMS. A elaboração de um manual de utilização da lista que inclua orientação de alimentação e ampliação com termos controlados de acordo com a norma de tesauro (ISO 25.964-1:2011). O cadastro dos termos controlados em sua totalidade na plataforma AtoM, observando a exclusão de duplicatas, a substituição de termos sinônimos (UP) como também o cadastro de cada um dos marcadores (NA, DEF, TG, TE e TR) relacionados com o termo preferencial (USE). A implementação com a plataforma de descrição do arquivo (AtoM) irá agilizar a indexação dos assuntos e promoverá a aproximação com os pesquisadores e utilizadores. / Providing the transformation of registered terms in natural language for a controlled language, elaborated from the terms already registered in the Atom platform. This work analyses the control of the subject authority in the archival field within the area of Information Science, specifically in the Digital Archive of the Instituto Arquitecto José Marques da Silva Foundation. This work aims to build a control list of subject authority, explicitly developed for FIMS. This unique case study and exploratory nature use the techniques of documentary research, observation, participant observation and content analysis. From the theoretical point of view, this use case carried out a search, selection and text reading that deals with the control of subject authority and indexing in the area of archival to compose the construction of necessary knowledge for the questions and answers that the research project development requires from its executors-entering the readings on the Socs, SKOS, controlled vocabularies, taxonomy, and still presenting examples of indexes, highlighting the Thesaurus of Art and Architecture (AAT). To compose this knowledge, we explore the standards that deal with the organization of knowledge and indexing, especially ISO 25.964-1:2011, which deals with the Thesaurus for information retrieval. Furthermore, we still study the digital and network files, thus completing the literature review. During practical work, data collection determined the extent of the list of terms to be analyzed, one by one in the light of the AAT and the list of indexing terms already existing in the FIMS. Then the concepts were identified according to the Illustrated Dictionary of Architecture for the specific terms and the dictionaries: Priberam and Infopédia for the general terms. From this, the list was drawn up with controlled terms. Among the conclusions was the need to integrate the list of subject authorities, the fruit of this work, with the list of indexing terms of FIMS. The development of a user manual for the list includes feeding and extending guidance with controlled terms according to the thesaurus standard (ISO 25.964-1:2011). The registration of controlled terms in their entirety in the Atom platform, observing the exclusion of duplicates, the replacement of synonymous terms (UP) as well as the registration of each of the markers (NA, DEF, TG, TE and TR) related to the preferential term (USE). The implementation with the Archive Description Platform (AtoM) will streamline the indexing of subjects and promote rapprochement with researchers and users.

The emergence of high-throughput sequencing has brought substantial advances in cancer genomics research. The current pace of advance of this technology made possible to assay with high depth of coverage the DNA and the transcriptomes (RNA-seq) of tumor samples and cancer cell lines. Aberrant RNA processing of genes plays an important role in cancer. The goal of this project is to develop a computational platform that enables the use of powerful computational resources for studies involving the analysis of high-throughput information from the transcriptome of cancer samples. The platform hides the computational resources from the user making it easy to use by the Life Sciences experts. Although the platform is general purpose, the current version is tuned for to the application of methods that use high-throughput information from the transcriptome of cancer samples to identify events of aberrant splicing and their impact in the transcript structure.
