The Psychology School Services are linked to the creation and regulation of the Psychology course and have been, over the years, the main space of practices in the process of training the psychologist, aiming to fulfill, since its birth, a double objective: to subsidize the students and serve the community. From the National Curricular Guidelines for undergraduate courses in Psychology, the School Services are called to expand their action in order to meet a demand that is constantly growing and to adapt to changes in training. The present research had the objective of analyzing the Service of Applied Psychology - SEPA of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, based on a descriptive, cross - sectional and comparative study that sought to relate data about the functioning of School Services in the various regions of the country , in order to identify gaps and to base a discussion on the need and possibility of changes conducive to improvements. For the production of information, a simultaneous mixed approach or multi-method was used, which used systematic observation, documentary analysis, database consultation and interviews. Regarding the results, it is observed that the high demand was a generalized difficulty in all the Services studied, reflecting an increase in the number of people seeking psychology attention and few psychologists in the public service that meet such demand. However, in relation to the physical structure, there is a similarity of conditions, that is, a satisfactory service to the needs. The prevalence of a strong hegemony of individual psychotherapy indicates that the service offer does not contemplate the diversity of possibilities of the psi field. On the other hand, the demand for this mode of care stands out, which is due, in part, to the imaginary still prevalent in relation to the activities of the psychologist, even though numerous changes have required a redefinition of the skills and competences developed during the training professional. It can be concluded that, in general, there is an attachment to theoretical models crystallized, not being clear the scope of the term "Psychology Service", as well as, a certain lack of knowledge and / or distance from the curricular guidelines of the psychology course. Starting from these shortcomings, a fragility was perceived in the School Service, even considering its importance for the formation of the future psychologist. It is suggested, therefore, the proposal of spaces for discussion that systematically inform and bring together those who make up the School Services and, potentially, can subsidize the expansion of the quantity and quality of care provision.

Olhares sobre a viv?ncia de forma??o cl?nica durante a gradua??o em psicologia: um estudo fenomenol?gico / Taking a look at the experience provided through the course of clinical formation of the under-graduation course in psychology: a phenomenological study

Furigo, Regina C?lia Paganini Louren?o 11 December 2002 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-04T18:27:26Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Regina Furigo.pdf: 3253353 bytes, checksum: 40a7772625492bb6a193cb7c1f5d4f54 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2002-12-11 / The purpose of the present study was to investigate the experience undergone by both the undergraduate students and the supervisor of the clinical practicum training during the fifth year of the Psychology course. The data collection was done through the writing disclosures of the students soon after a sequence of three meetings were realized with the purpose of introducing a diversity of themes to the participating students. The themes were previously determined by the researcher to function as a triggering subject. The meetings were successively carried out during the month of November, 2001 lasting approximately one and a half hours each, so that the themes could be truly discussed. The chosen themes were based not only on the relationship provided by the close contact between the supervisor and the students of the practicum clinical experience course, but also the empathic comprehension among the involved parts, in addition to and specially for the identification that the supervisor had with a crises moment that the course was going through. This situation demanded that the students articulated their experiences in relation to the graduation process in the clinical psychology arena, providing than a great opportunity to help in the process of improving the status of the course through the achievement of a renewed comprehension of its processes. In order to do this, three meetings were carried out with each one of the three-practicum experience classes under the supervision of the researcher (and clinical supervisor). All of the students of each class (approximately 15 students) agreed on participating in the study, adding to a total of forty-five students and fifteen hundred of collected disclosures. The process was done in the University setting in which the students mastered their undergraduate degree in Psychology. The fifth year students were selected to participate in this study because it was assumed that they should be in a more appropriate position to evaluate the context of the subject of study, since they already had throughoutly experienced the academic process in the psychology arena. The data was collected immediately after the end of each meeting through the disclosures of the students so that it could reflect the sense of the students experiences. The data analyzes was based on the qualitative exploration of the phenomenological orientation. The results indicated that there are meaningful themes present in the clinical formation process of the students pursuing the under-graduation degree in Psychology. Despite the fact that the students do severely criticize the graduating school, they also feel glad and trust the experience provided to them. They experienced moments of anxiety and tension during the starting period of clinical work due to the difficulty that they had in linking theory to practice. They also had difficulty to deal with the clinical system of the University, which functions as an institution that rather privilege the academic scheme instead of the professional formation of the students in order to prepare them to a competitive and demanding job-market. It was observed that during a demanding period such as the fifth year of the psychology course, the students need a structure that supports them, so they can feel accepted and better able to compensate their insecurity and anxiety. Such situations were experienced during some therapeutic circumstances that were reflected during the supervisions, due to the supervisor s capacity to form alliances with the students. In addition, there were a great number of disclosures emphasizing situations of empathy and acceptance of the students in relation to their clients worlds. However, there were also expressions of concern around the incomprehension felt by many students playing the role of a beginner therapist in relation to their clients backgrounds. This resulted in an internal conflict between their world-view and own personal experiences, and their clients . The most valuable experiences granted during the graduation process were the possibility given to the students to participate in group supervisions where they had the opportunity to exchange their own personal and academic experiences with other students and the supervisor. Finally, the mostly significant experience seems to have been the possibility of acting as a clinical psychologist for the first time.

That is because of the high incidence of low back pathologies regarding the professional activity, despite the development on the field of Dental Ergonomics. This work took place at the dental schoolclinic at a Federal University, and it was grounded on the Ergonomic Principles in the workplace. Its main objective was to analyze the determinants of inadequate posture adopted by students inasmuch as the adoption of non ergonomic methods at the school-clinic may influence them to develop inadequate postures in their working environment. The analysis of the activity showed us that it requires some complex procedures in the patient s mouth. Thus, when the students carry out the activity, they start to adopt, although unconsciously, inadequate postures which will make easier the visual accuracy and the access to the operation focus. In case there is no internal (body awareness) or external warning mechanisms (the professor s or the partner s counseling) regarding posture or possible risks which lead them to self-correction, the students become vulnerable to osteomuscle disorders. The time pressure, because the students are expected to perform their task in a predetermined clinical time. The facts related to each patient s variability as well as the stress caused by the expectations to get their work done in time make the students to advance it believing they will waste time if they help their partners or using an indirect view. We could also notice that there was no assistant to perform the job of minor ones, as well as there was no professor who could actually connect the knowledge on Ergonomics to its working practice. The conclusions of this work stand out the need of widen the discussion at the academic environment regarding health professionals in places such as universities. The ergonomic principles in the workplace aim a multidisciplinary analysis based on the experience of students, professors, staff members and janitors that can contribute to some reflection upon the issue and consequently actions which will bring positive changes at the working environment / A postura corporal de elevado risco biomec?nico ? um dos mais preocupantes problemas de sa?de ocupacional dos profissionais de odontologia.

Plant?o psicol?gico: uma contribui??o da cl?nica junguiana ? aten??o psicol?gica na sa?de / Emergency psychological attendance: a contribution of the jungian clinic to the psychologic health care

Furigo, Regina C?lia Paganini Louren?o 05 December 2006 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-04T18:29:32Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Regina Celia Furigo.pdf: 8832692 bytes, checksum: 54938673017ec631e8aa17d399c05061 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2006-12-05 / The purpose of the present study was to analyze the Psychologic Attention available on the Emergency Psychological Attendance to the users of a Universitary Clinicschool generated from the experiences of emergency psychologists, patients, and Supervisor-researcher. The used methodology was based on a phenomenologic research from the study of ten cases in clinic attendance of individuals who spontaneously sought the cited service. It is important to note that the emergency attendance was offered for free by a convenant between the cited University and the Brasilian Public Heath System (SUS). The cases were treated and analyzed in the light of Jungian referencial. The attendance was carried out by six emergency psychologists previously selected and with a minimum of one year experience in clinical attendance. Three sessions were carried out for each patient and also a follow-up interview, was performed a month after the end of the Emergengy psychological attendance process. The group of emergency psychologists had a weekly supervision during the six month the research was performed. A detailed report of the clinical work as well as the personal perceptions of the emergency psychologists was delivered for each case of the program. The same has occurred with the supervisor-researcher who was responsible for the follow up interviews which reflected the patients feelings about the research. As a result, it was generated pool of ten reports from the psychologists about the attended patients?processes, ten follow-up interviews and ten perception reports from the supervisor-researcher about her personal understanding of the process as a whole. The emergency psychologists? reports, as well as the data obtained on the follow-up interview were divided in unities of significate which possibilitate the elaboration of specific syntheses, both from the emergency psychologist and the patient and from the supervisor-researcher. Thus, it was obtained three general syntheses refering to the lived element related to the research focus. The main results obtained show that, when the Emergency Psychological Attendance empathizes with the patient who needs psychological care, in the exact moment of his (her) crysis, treats with different times: one internal ( the patient time) and other external (the chronological time) and thus reaches such relevant results as to the contention of anguish in a brief time. Both Emergency Psychologists and patients experience a highly rich moment for their psyche, which makes viable the archetype of the wounded physician which, when constelating, assists the patient to recapture the hability to carry out his (her) autocure. Therefore, it is considered that Intervention Model used in the Emergency Psychological Attendance arises as an enormous hope of speeding and dinamizing the clinical services delivered by Psychology, enhancing the resources of this science for people who needs it within the health care field.
