Aquesta investigació reconstrueix la vida cultural de la ciutat de Manresa, a la Catalunya Central, al llarg dels segles XIII i XIV, amb el còdex baixmedieval com a fil conductor. L'estudi es basa en l'anàlisi de 305 documents amb mencions libràries (editats conjuntament), pràcticament tots ells inèdits, que procedeixen d'un buidatge exhaustiu dels fons notarials que custodien l'Arxiu Històric Comarcal de Manresa i l'Arxiu de la Seu de Manresa per a aquests segles (uns 800 lligalls). Cal dir que aquest ric fons notarial s'ha conservat pràcticament sencer al llarg del temps. Dir també que fins aleshores no s'havia utilitzat amb aquesta finalitat, i, en conseqüència, la bibliografia al respecte ha estat, fins ara, pràcticament inexistent. En l'estudi s'analitza quines foren les biblioteques de cada grup social de la ciutat: jurisperits, eclesiàstics (canonges, ordes mendicants, clergat secular), metges i apotecaris, mercaders i menestrals, noblesa i jueus; faig la mateixa anàlisi per altres parròquies dels encontorns de la ciutat, com també aporto notícies inèdites dels monestirs benedictins de Santa Maria de Ripoll, Santa Maria de Montserrat, Santa Cecília de Montserrat i Sant Benet de Bages, com a contribució a la història cultural d'aquests cenobis. Tradicionalment els estudis d'història del llibre s'han centrat, bàsicament, en els inventaris i testaments com a documentació primordial d'informació, i això atorgava a les biblioteques descobertes un caràcter estàtic, sense poder-se esbrinar com s'havien format. La utilització de tota la documentació notarial sense excepció (els llibres particulars de famílies manresanes, els llibres comuns de l'escrivania, els dels gremis, ordes religiosos, jueus, i esborranys, a més a més, és clar, dels ja esmentats llibres d'inventaris i testaments) ha permès documentar molt especialment la circulació del còdex (145 documents en fan referència) i per tant dimensionar amb exactitud els dos valors -sempre complementaris- del llibre: el material i l'espiritual. Així, les notícies libràries enllacen de manera natural amb un estudi socioecònomic i biogràfic de cadascun dels possessors, o en el seu cas del grup social, amb l'objectiu de conèixer quin fou el tipus de lectura que feren dels llibres i quina fou la seva vida espiritual.Aquesta ha estat la metodologia utilitzada. Pel que fa estrictament al contingut, cal dir que el segle XIV a Manresa (període en el qual es concentra la major part de la documentació) ha estat anomenat per la historiografia local el "gran segle" de la ciutat: es construeixen la Seu i la Sèquia, així com els temples del Carme i de Sant Domènec, per citar les obres més importants, i és també quan es concentra la concessió de privilegis reials, especialment per part del rei Pere el Cerimoniós. La intensa vida política i econòmica de Manresa, és reflecteix en la tipologia librària, essent el llibre jurídic el que més circulà. La vida social, indestriable de la religiositat, és documentada amb un gran nombre de llibres litúrgics i especialment dels litúrgicodevocionals, com a mostra de la penetració de la Devotio moderna. Complementen aquests dos grans grups, els llibres de contingut mèdic, els gramaticals i els de lògica. Entre les principals biblioteques particulars documentades, cal destacar per la seva qualitat sobretot la del jurisperit Ramon Saera, d'uns 83 còdexs (amb una notable biblioteca teològica), la dels metges Bernat de Figuerola (pare i fill) (53 còdexs aprox.) i especialment la de Bernat Oller, prior general dels carmelites i fill de Manresa, el qual llegà la seva biblioteca de 143 còdexs (!) al convent del Carme de la ciutat. / This research reconstructs the cultural life of the city of Manresa, located in Central Catalonia, over the XIII and XIV centuries, through a late Middle Ages code. The thesis is based upon the study of 305 documents whit book mentions (edited together). Almost all of them are new and are extracted from on exhaustive thorough examination of the notarial sources related to these centuries (about 800 volumes) and preserved by the Arxiu Històric Comarcal de Manresa and by Arxiu de la Seu de Manresa. It must be pointed that these rich sources had been preserved intact all over the times and had never been utilised whit this aim and, consequently, bibliografy has been inexistent up to now.The stuy analyses which were the libraries of each social group in the city: jurisconsults, ecclesiastics (canonicals, mendicant orders, secular clericals), physicians, chemists, merchants and artisans, aristocracy and jewishes; the some analyses has been made for other parish churches placed in the outskirts of the city. Also, unpublished historical notes related to the Benedictine monasteries such as Santa Maria de Ripoll, Santa Maria de Montserrat, Santa Cecília de Montserrat i Sant Benet de Bages had been brought as a contribution to the cultural history of these cenobies.Traditionally, the studies of book history were concentrated in inventoires and testaments as a primordial records of information, but this attributed a static character to the discovered libraries whith any possibility to discover how they had born. The utilisation of the whole notarial records: particular "manresan" families books, office of notaries books, corporation ones, religious orders, jewish, rough copies and the already mentioned inventaries and testaments, permitted to particulary document the circulation of the code (145 documents mention it) ant to fixe an exact dimensions of the two complementary values: the material and spiritual one. So the data books link in a natural way to the socioeconomic and biographic study of each of their owners, or in case of a social group, whit the aim to known which were the kind of readings of the books and which was the spiritual life of the group itself. This is the methodology used. Whit regard to the content itself, it must be said that the local historiography nominated the XIV century (a period in which the major part of the records concentrates) the "great century" of the city of Manresa: in fact, to mention the main works, the Seu and the Sèquia are built, both Carme and Sant Domènec temples. It is in the same century wehre the granting of privileges is concentrated, specially by the king Pere el Ceremoniós. The intense political and economical life in Manresa reflects itself on the book tipology, being the law books thes ones that mostly spread out. Social life, inseparable from religion, is documented by the great number of liturgical books, specially the prayer and liturgic ones, as a proof of penetration of Devotio Moderna. The medical, the grammar and the logic books complete those two main groups. Betwen the main documented libraries that of jurisconsult Ramon Saera distinguishes itself for the quality of 83 codes (whit a notable theological library), also that of doctors Bernat de Figuerola ( father and son) (53 codes aprox.), and specially that of Bernat Oller, Carmelities prior general and son of Manresa, who gere his library whit 143 (!) codes as a donation tho the Carme monastery of the town.

La documentación notarial de diversos archivos de la ciudad de Barcelona (capitular, municipal y de protocolos del colegio de notarios), especialmente los llamados libros especiales de testamentos, inventarios y encantes (o subastas), ha sido analizada para el periodo comprendido entre los años 1396 y 1475 con el fin de recoger, en un apéndice documental, todas las bibliotecas de clérigos, médicos, juristas y otros ciudadanos (entre los cuales, notarios, mercaderes, artesanos, etc). Después de su edición crítica (a la que se ha incorporado la identificación de los títulos y obras que se mencionan en estas bibliotecas), se estudian diversos aspectos relacionados tanto con la historia de la cultura como con disciplinas propias del area de ciencias y técnicas historiográficas (paleografía y codicología, básicamente).

O presente trabalho constitui-se de estudos paleográficos e codicológicos de documentos manuscritos dos séculos XVIII e XIX - datados entre 1707 e 1822 -, referentes à Capitania de São Paulo, inicialmente, e, após, às Capitanias de Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais e Goiás, área mais tarde identificada como da \"cultura caipira\". Esta descrição está precedida de resenha dos aspectos históricos considerados mais relevantes do período colonial brasileiro, com foco na área de referência dos documentos, seguida de edições fac-similar e semidiplomática justalinear e de perspectivas de estudos lingüísticos. / Paleographic and codicological studies are made of manuscript documents of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries - between 1707 and 1822 -, referring to the Province of São Paulo, initially, and subsequently to the Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais and Goiás provinces, an area identified later as that of the \"caipira culture\". This description is preceded by a review of the historical aspects considered most relevant in the Brazilian colonial period, focusing of the area referred to in the documents, and followed by fac-similar and semidiplomatic justalinear editions and perspectives of linguistic studies.

Esta dissertação tem como primeiro objetivo preparar as edições facsimilar e semidiplomática de atas da Câmara Municipal de Botucatu, datadas de 1858 e 1859. Por ser o trabalho filológico uma atividade multidisciplinar, propomo-nos, também, a levantar alguns aspectos codicológicos e paleográfios do livro no qual estas atas se encontram. Durante a leitura destes documentos, notamos que os diferentes alógrafos dos grafemas s e z, especialmente em posição intervocálica, podem, muitas vezes, proporcionar dificuldades de leitura a pesquisadores preocupados com questões de linguística histórica. Além da variação entre alógrafos, há também a variação no emprego dos grafemas s e z quanto à representação de diferentes fonemas. Baseados na constatação de que s e z apresentam variação quanto à forma e ao fonema que representam, nosso segundo objetivo é examinar, no corpus estudado, ocorrências de alografia de s e z que suscitam maior dificuldade do ponto de vista paleográfico e verificar a variação de uso dos grafemas s e z apenas em posição intervocálica. / The first objective of this dissertation is to prepare both the fac-similar and the semi diplomatic editions of minutes of the municipal council of Botucatu, São Paulo State, which date back to 1858 and 1859. As the philological labor is a multidisciplinary activity, we also propose to raise some codicological and paleographic aspects of the book in which these minutes lie. While reading these documents, we noticed that the different writings of the graphemes s and z, especially in intervocalic position, might, at times, cause difficulties in reading to researchers preoccupied with historic linguistics issues, because the variation, both in writing and use of these letters, is wide. Besides this, there is also variation in the use of the graphemes s and z in representing different phonemes. Based on the finding that s and z present variation both in shape and the phoneme they represent, our second objective is to examine, in our corpus, occurrences of s and z allographs that raise greater paleography difficulties and verify the variation in the use of the graphemes s and z only in intervocalic position.

O presente trabalho consiste na edição semidiplomática justalinear, acompanhada de glossário parcial e índices de expressões latinas, antropônimos, topônimos e cargos, dignidades e funções, da obra intitulada Memória Histórica da Capitania de São Paulo e todos os seus memoráveis sucessos desde o anno de 1531 thé o prezente de 1796, códice E11571 do Arquivo do Estado de São Paulo. O trabalho está dividido em seis partes: na introdução, apresentam-se o trabalho, sua importância e seus objetivos; na primeira parte, expõe-se um breve contexto histórico do século XVIII, época na qual se situa Memória Histórica; na segunda parte, apresentam-se informações sobre o autor, suas obras, inclusive a obra em questão, e a discussão sobre sua autoria; na terceira parte, faz-se uma descrição do códice E11571, incluindo estudos codicológicos, paleográficos e lingüísticos; na quarta parte, justifica-se a opção pela realização da edição semidiplomática em formato justalinear, descrevem-se as normas de transcrição utilizadas e apresenta-se a edição da referida obra; na quinta parte, listam-se os critérios adotados na elaboração do glossário parcial, assim como dos índices de expressões latinas, antropônimos, topônimos e cargos, dignidades e funções, a que se seguem os referidos glossário e índices; finalmente, expõem-se as considerações finais e as referências. / This work consists in a justalinear semidiplomatic edition, followed by partial glossary and index of Latin expressions, anthroponymous, toponymous and posts, dignitaries and functions. It is based upon the work named Memória Histórica da Capitania de São Paulo e todos os seus memoráveis sucessos desde o anno de 1531 thé o prezente de 1796, codex E11571 from the Arquivo do Estado de São Paulo. This work is divided in six parts: in the introduction, the work is presented, along with its importance and its objectives; in the first part, a brief historical context of the 18th century is exhibited, time in which the Memória Histórica takes placed; in the second part, information about the author, his works, including this work itself, and the discussion about its authorship are presented; the third part contains a description of the codex E11571, including codicological, paleographical and linguistical studies; the fourth part comprises a justification for the justalinear edition, the rules adopted on the transcription and the edition itself; in the fifth part, the criteria adopted on the partial glossary, in the Latin expressions index, in anthroponymous, in toponymous and in posts, dignitaries and functions are listed; finally, the conclusion and the references are exposed.

Edição semidiplomática de corpus selecionado a partir do códice ?Ofícios do Vice-Rei para o Governador da Capitania 1793/98?, visando a fornecer fonte fidedigna para futuros estudos filológicos, lingüísticos, históricos e culturais do período. Trata-se também de um estudo mais detalhado desse códice catarinense que contextualiza historicamente os documentos que o compõem, assim como aborda aspectos paleográficos, codicológicos e diplomáticos com o propósito de responder a questionamentos e hipóteses surgidos durante a edição acerca de sua composição, criação e origem. Este trabalho descreve codicológica e paleograficamente o códice em geral, apresenta uma demonstração de diferentes punhos e procura levantar traços de natureza fonológica de um manuscrito dentro do códice. Consta também deste trabalho uma tentativa de identificação tipológica mais adequada através da composição de um verbete descritivo do corpus. / Semidiplomatic edition of the selected corpus from the codex ?Oficios do Vice Rei para o Governador da Capitania 1793/98? (Memorandums from the Vice-king to the Governor of the Province 1793/98?) seeking to provide a trustworthy source to further philological, linguistical, historical and cultural studies of such period. It is also a thorough study of this Catarinense (from Santa Catarina) codex that put its documents into a historical perspective. It touches its paleographic, codicological and diplomatic aspects aiming to address questionings and hypotheses raised during the editing process concerning its composition, how it was assembled, and its origin. This work describes the codex general paleography and codicology. It presents a demonstration of different handwritings and attempts to raise traces of phonological aspects from the codex. This project also proposes a more adequate typological identification of the documents, through descriptive summaries of each memo.

Este trabalho apresenta a edição semidiplomática de 68 documentos manuscritos da segunda metade do século XVIII, entre os anos de 1767 e 1775, referentes ao período de governo de Dom Luís Antonio de Sousa Botelho Mourão como Capitão General da Capitania de São Paulo. O conjunto desses documentos, originalmente avulsos, encontra-se reunido em um livro manuscrito de número 170 no Arquivo do Estado de São Paulo (AESP). A fim de melhor estudar tal livro manuscrito, esse trabalho compõe-se de um capítulo acerca da descrição codicológica e paleográfica, seguido da classificação das espécies documentais existentes no corpus transcrito. Além de um capítulo sobre o momento histórico em que foram executados os documentos. Após os capítulos de análise do corpus, há o núcleo do trabalho: a transcrição semidiplomática e justalinear face a face com a reprodução facsimilar de cada fólio dos documentos. No livro manuscrito há também páginas impressas, que foram anexadas após as transcrições, embora não façam parte do presente estudo. Uma vez que os documentos aqui publicados encontravam-se inéditos, a sua divulgação certamente contribuirá para os estudos filológicos, linguísticos e históricos da época. / This essay presents the facsimilar copies and the semi diplomatic editions of 68 manuscripts from the second half of the eighteenth century, between the years 1767 and 1775, during the government of the General Captain of the São Paulo Captaincy, Dom Luis Antonio de Sousa Botelho Mourão. This corpus was selected in the Arquivo do Estado de São Paulo (AESP) and all of the documents are covered in the manuscript book number 170, where they follow the same order as presented here. In order to study the manuscript book, this work is composed by a chapter about Codicology and Palaeography of the studied documents, followed by the classifications of the documental species of the corpus. Before the transcriptions, there is a chapter about the historical moment in which the documents were executed. The transcription of the handwriting part of the codex is semi diplomatic, line by line and face to face with the respective facsimilar reproduction of each manuscript. There are also printed documents in the manuscript book, which were attached to this work, though they are not the object of study. Since the documents are not yet published, their divulgation can certainly contribute to the philological, linguistic and historical studies.
