Telksnienė, Laima 07 June 2006 (has links)
Rapid changes, stimulated by globalization, spreading of information (knowledge) society and integration into the European Union economical, cultural and educational space, conditioned the changes in the educational system of Lithuania. The new requirements for the system influenced the development of the management competence model. In the context of the general (transferable) competences, communicative competences are given top priority, development of which in life long learning becomes the most essential challenge for every leader of an educational institution. Therefore, the research question has been raised- what communicative competences the leaders of educational institutions have. Both competences, in foreign languages and information communicative technologies, were being taken into account. The question of which of the two competences manifests stronger in the leadership practice has also been analyzed, the motives and forms of the development of these competences were being questioned. The aim of the research is to analyze the expression of the communicative competences of the leaders of educational institutions in the context of educational changes, revealing the motives and forms for the improvement. Analysis of the theoretical works and documents of foreign and national scientists about the role of communicative competences in the context of educational changes has been carried out and presented in the paper. The place of the communicative competences- foreign... [to full text]

Implementing telecollaboration in a second language context / Implementerandet av telekollaboration i en andraspråkskontext.

Tonzar, Tomas, Dobratiqi, Qendresa January 2021 (has links)
During the last decades, a shifting paradigm has occurred in the classroom in connection to the technological evolution. Due to digitalization a student in Sweden can discuss with a counterpart on the other side of the globe. The aim of this study is to examine how the role of telecollaboration has been researched in a primary school context. The study will include several methods that could benefit the use of virtual exchange projects. This investigation will briefly explain the terminology and history behind telecollaboration and how it can be used in a modern classroom environment. An explanation on how the findings have been explored will be included in the methodology component. Thereafter, the study will present the research from the chosen articles connected to the aim and research question. The presented research will further be compared and connected to each other. In the following component, the data found will be connected back to the theoretical hypothesis mentioned in the introduction as well as the Swedish syllabus for English education in the primary school. The implications from investigating this subject were due to the lack of thoroughly conducted research on younger participants, the outcome rendered inadequate. An evidence on the insufficiency was that hardly any prior investigations used control groups to validate their findings.

Competencias comunicativas eficaces mediante estrategías de aprendizaje cooperativo

García Gonzáles, Alfonso, Marín Sánchez, Manuel 27 August 2014 (has links)
Cooperative learning is one of the main medicines in education: the student takes an active role in their own learning process. Methodological issues are very important within university, since the development project of the European Higher Education Area proposes very profound changes in the educational paradigm, changes in the role of teachers and students inside and outside the classroom. To give force to this argument, the implementation of Cooperative Learning Questionnaire Arellano, Navarro and Sosa (2007) was taken to 692 students enrolled in first grade of primary education in 2010-2011. The sample coincides with the universe of freshmen in the Bachelor of Primary Education, comprising 87% of women with a mean age of 19 years, which yielded an index of 0.83 for internal consistency of the instrument. The results point to the importance of strengthening cooperative learning in university classrooms, given that there are few occasions when they can put into play.

Attitudes towards and Experiences of InterculturalCommunicative Competence : A small-scale study of Swedish uppersecondary schools in a mid-size Swedishcommunity

Rydblom, Oskar January 2018 (has links)
This is a small-scale study that looks at how important upper secondary students andteachers in a mid-size Swedish community consider intercultural communicativecompetences to be and how frequently they work with developing these competences.Previous research on the work with intercultural communicative competence suggestteachers are largely unaware of theories in this area, but these studies were conducted atleast ten years ago. Current models for working with intercultural communicativecompetences are discussed and questionnaires for students and teachers were developedto investigate attitudes towards and experiences of working with interculturalcompetences. The results of the questionnaires indicate that there is still little awarenessof current models and that practical communicative exercises are rare. As this study issmall scale and can only provide possible indications of the extent to witch interculturalcommunicative competence is dealt with in the classroom, the paper concludes thatfurther and more extensive studies are needed. Keywords
