“A gente não quer só comida”: processos educativos, crianças catadoras e sociedade de consumidores

No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 26 / Nenhuma / Esta Dissertação apresenta uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo analisar os significados atribuídos à catação de resíduos sólidos recicláveis, por um grupo de crianças, estudantes de 2º ano de uma escola municipal (situada no Bairro Santa Marta) de São Leopoldo, RS, cuja existência está vinculada a essa atividade, examinando os jogos de linguagem que a constituem. O material de pesquisa foi composto por entrevistas realizadas com oito crianças com idades que variavam entre seis e onze anos, desencadeadas por desenhos que haviam realizado previamente; anotações de observações e falas registradas em diário de campo; desenhos e painéis feitos pelos alunos; e informações geradas numa visita ao Aterro Sanitário. A investigação serviu-se de ferramentas teóricas provenientes do pensamento de diferentes autores, entre as quais, assumiram uma posição privilegiada, as noções advindas das teorizações de Michel Foucault – tais como poder, resistência, discurso e enunciado; das idéias de Ludwig Wittgenstein da obra Invest / This Master Dissertation presents a research that has the aim to analyze the meanings assigned to the gathering of solid recycled waste – catação –, by a group of children, students from the second grade of a municipal school (situated in Santa Marta Neighborhood) at São Leopoldo, RS, who was involved in this activity, examining the language games which constitutes it. The research data was composed of interviews made with eight children with the average age of six to eleven years old, unleashed by drawings that have been done previously; observation notes and words registered in a field diary; drawings and panels made by the students and information generated from a visit to the Sanitary Landfill. The investigation was based on theoretical tools provided by different authors’ thoughts. Among them, assumed a privileged position notions coming from Michel Foucault’s theorizations – such as power, resistance, discourse and enunciation; of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s ideas of his book Philosophical Investigations

A revisão da literatura direcionou nosso foco para as ‘armadilhas de marketing’ presentes na mídia. A partir desta identificação, foi elaborado um conjunto de tarefas sobre o tema para sala de aula de matemática. Essas tarefas foram fundamentadas teoricamente a partir do Modelo dos Campos Semânticos e pela concepção de consumismo e sociedade de consumidores propostas pelo sociólogo Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017). Uma pesquisa de campo foi desenvolvida com os alunos do 2º ano do Ensino Médio com a finalidade de validar as tarefas para uso em sala de aula. A investigação resultou em um produto educacional proposto para sala de aula de matemática baseado no design de uma proposta de currículo de educação financeira escolar. / The present research is an investigation characterized by qualitative approach in Financial Scholarly Education and Mathematics Education. The goal of this research was to identify the traps in the media and in the marketing strategy which encourage the consumerism in Consumers Society. The literature review guided our focus to the ‘marketing traps’ in media. From this identification, we developed the tasks set about this subject to mathematics classes. These tasks were theoretically referenced by Semantic Fields Model and by Consumerism and Consumers Society conception by Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017). A field research was performed with second- year high school students (15-18 years old) aiming to validate the tasks to use in classes. This investigation resulted in an Educational Product proposed to mathematics classes based on Financial Scholarly Educational curriculum proposal.

Nové formy cestovního ruchu a jejich vliv na město / New Forms of Tourism and their Impact on Cities

This thesis charts the increasing volume and changing nature of tourism in Europe. It was allowed by the liberalization of air travel market (the emergence of Low-Cost Carriers), and by the emergence of sharing economy (Airbnb). Followed by these changes a new segment of tourists, who were described as independent travelers, emerged. The thesis focuses on the interaction of those three factors and their effect on urban space - thus on its socio- geographic, socio-economic and socio-cultural fabric. Because of Low-Cost Carriers, tourists and travelers are concentrated in several European cities - those which were able to accommodate its environment for these airlines. In the cities, tourism spread from the concentric zones of the city center to the zones of the inner city, where a new tourist industry was adjusted for independent travelers. This touristification deepens the process of gentrification and spatial inequalities. Because of Airbnb, the limited hotel supply in the city center was surpassed, and the accommodation sector was integrated into residential fabric of the inner city. Those touristified spaces of the city become socio-culturally heterogenic. However, with increasing costs of living in the inner city, this space is more and more socio- economically homogenous.
