Lean production : I en traditionellt styrd organisation / Lean production : In a traditionally managed organization

Trojefors, Viktor, Karlsson, Ludwig January 2014 (has links)

Comparative study of the stampability of the UNS C22000 brass produced initially by the process of continuous casting in comparison to the semicontinuous casting.

Almeida, Leandro de 07 July 2017 (has links)
Forming limits curves (FLC) are used for more than 50 years. Initially proposed for the development of products from the automobile industry in terms of the needs of the area. It is currently being applied in general to the metal forming industry in the production of numerous types of parts, providing predictions of possible faults and / or defects during the stages of the stamping process. The FLC\'s can predict excessive thinning, wrinkling, stretching and of course, the fracture of the part. The existing metallurgical differences between the two initial processes - continuous casting (C.C.) and semi-continuous casting (S.C.C.) - result in differences in the final properties obtained for the same route of cold rolling and intermediate annealing of the specified material. Thus, it is essential to study the influence of the initial manufacturing processes CC and SCC with respect to the formability of the sheets. This investigation is based on the, assessment of the FLC\'s obtained by uniaxial tensile tests proposed by IRSID (\"Institut de Recherches de Sidérurgie\"), (?2 < 0, left side of the curve) and Erichsen test (right side of curve. ?2> 0) and the Nakazima test reduced by 60%. The difference between the sheets obtained in both processing routes was evaluated by the following parameters: grain size, tensile strength limits, yield strength (0.2%), elongation (at 50.80 mm), strain hardening coefficient n, resistance K, \"earing\" test, lifting of the CLC0, Erichsen test and texture where discussed in view of the obtained FLC\'s for both the two processes of the finished material. The semi-continuous casting process in processed conditions showed better combinations of properties except the formation of \"earing\" presented at the intermediate stage of processing of the material. Particularly the evaluation of the FLC0 parameter resulted in a strain in the plate plane ?1 19% (?2 = 0) superior to the sheet obtained by the continuous casting process. A difference of approximately 37% between the IRSID x Nakazima methodologies was also reduced in obtaining the flat deformation for the F.C. process and 31% for the F.S.C. process. However, for other deformation paths; biaxial stretching, uniaxial traction and deep drawing of the results for the continuous casting sheet were superior.

Continuous data auditing as a tool of corporate control automation.

Silva, Washington Lopes da 25 October 2012 (has links)
The technology dependence of activities and business processes in corporate world driving the development of new audit techniques to investigate possible systemic failures, that could affect the internal controls of companies. Thus, the need for automation of auditing tests led to the development of the concept and implementation of projects for continuous auditing of data in the enterprise environment. This thesis evaluates the major critical issues for the construction of continuous auditing of data, considering the use of information technology and the computer assisted audit techniques. From the theoretical foundation formulated four basic premises, which were derived eight propositions and eleven critical aspects, which were placed in a proof of concept, through multiple case study in the Brazilian business scenario. The research argues that the critical aspects for the construction of continuous auditing of data, originated in theoretical foundation and corroborated by the results of multiple case study, will serve as drivers for the initialization of continuous auditing projects as well as for its restructuring.

Examination of Adoption Theory on the DevOps Practice of Continuous Delivery

Anderson, Andrew John 01 January 2019 (has links)
Many organizations have difficulty adopting advanced software development practices. Some software development project managers in large organizations are not aligned with the relationship between performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, as moderated by experience, with intent to adopt the DevOps practice of continuous delivery. The purpose of this study was to examine the statistical relationships between the independent variables—performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, as moderated by experience—and the dependent variable of behavioral intent to adopt a continuous delivery system. Venkatesh, Morris, Davis, and Davis's unified theory of acceptance and use of technology provided the theoretical framework. A stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was performed on survey data from 85 technical project managers affiliated with LinkedIn project management groups. The analysis reflected that only performance expectancy was significant in predicting intent to adopt continuous delivery. The findings may contribute to social change by providing project managers with the information they need to support organizational change, collaboration, and facilitation. The knowledge gained may additionally help organizations develop operational efficiency, competitive advantage, and generate higher value to their clients and society.

Evaluation of performance and maximum length of continuous decks in simple-span bridges

Snedeker, Katherine O. 08 April 2009 (has links)
The purpose of this research was to evaluate the performance history of continuous bridge decks in the State of Georgia, to determine why the current design detail works, to recommend a new design detail if necessary, and to recommend the maximum and/or optimum lengths of continuous bridge decks. The continuous bridge decks have continuous reinforcement over the junction of two edge beams with a construction joint for crack control. The current technical literature and current practices and design procedures were synthesized and summarized. GDOT maintenance reports were reviewed, and field evaluations were conducted to determine the performance of the continuous deck detail. The effects of bridge movement due to thermal strains, shrinkage, and live loads were considered in the analytical studies to better understand the demands placed on the GDOT continuous deck detail. A summary of the design and length recommendations was provided upon completion of the research.
