It is considered, for in such a way, a conceptual quarrel on the man who inhabits that hinterland , in order to evidence part of the imagético compendium that structure the material and incorporeal culture - that it integrates the uses and customs of the Old inhabitant of the Caldas . This study, therefore, one meets demarcated, categorically, in order to privilege the representative confusion of the Complex of the Caldas and its relation with the situated time and the space in the categories hinterland and hot river . Then, by understanding that, also in that context, the meanings of the things are extremely ample, as well as the direction that the individuals give to its world - while symbolic constructions -, a theoretical recital, to demarcate conceptual sketches, derived from anthropologycal, description-cultural literary premises was adopted, amongst others. On the basis of estimated multifacetários, related to the hinterland of the Caldas , this study it looks for to evidence that the repercussion of the image-hinterland is irrigated, mainly, for the habits partner-description-cultural of those which we call citizens of (s) history (s) . / O presente estudo procurou desenvolver, de forma ampla, uma análise sobre representação do sertão, no contexto do complexo das Caldas de Goiás, com o enfoque específico para a cidade de Rio Quente, destacando alguns elementos que integram o conjunto de símbolos e mitos daquela região. Propõe-se, para tanto, uma discussão conceitual sobre o homem que habita aquele sertão , de modo a evidenciar parte do compêndio imagético que estrutura a cultura material e imaterial - que integra os usos e costumes do habitante das Caldas Velhas . Este estudo, portanto, encontra-se demarcado, categoricamente, a fim de privilegiar o emaranhado representativo do Complexo das Caldas e a sua relação com o tempo e o espaço situados nas categorias sertão e rio quente . Então, por entender que, também naquele contexto, os significados das coisas são extremamente amplos, assim como o sentido que os indivíduos dão ao seu mundo enquanto construções simbólicas , foi adotada uma fundamentação teórica, para demarcar esboços conceituais, derivada de premissas antropológicas, histórico-culturais, literárias, dentre outras. Com base em pressupostos multifacetários, relacionados ao sertão das Caldas , este estudo procura evidenciar que a repercussão da imagem-sertão é irrigada, principalmente, pelos hábitos sócio-histórico-cuturais daqueles aos quais denominamos sujeitos da(s) história(s) .
