Rozhlas na rozcestí trhu a veřejného zájmu - politická ekonomie hudby na stanici Český rozhlas Radiožurnál / The political economy of czech public service radio broadcasting channel one music

Špina, Adam January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis researches music dramaturgy of Czech public service radio Channel One (Radiožurnál) and pursues the goal of exploring hidden relations of political economy influencing its shape. The dramaturgy itself had been long criticised from both the public and experts and finally led to a public workshop held by the institution governing the broadcaster at arm's distance - The Council of Czech Radio in December 2011. The diploma thesis investigates the field of traditional requirements imposed on public service broadcasters as well as the redefinition of public service broadcasting due to market liberalisation and rise of new media in digital environment. For further context, the structural function of music in different types of societies is discussed; attention is also paid to relation of music and public service radio and normative demands for broadcasted music. Music dramaturgy of Czech Radio Channel One is then compared to two commercial broadcasters (Impuls and Evropa 2) on which only limited legal regulations are imposed. The final research describes public discussion over the channel's music and verifies legitimacy of complaints (which included too frequent repetition of songs and artists, few songs of one artist in database only or obscolencence of broadcasted music not giving a lead to...

And next charter deals with Czech-German relations because this topic is not only a question of the First Republic but it is a coexistence lasting few centuries and we could classify the events of 1938 in the correct context. In the next part I have devoted Nort-Bohemian Daily, its publishers, printers, graphic form, editorial and content characteristics. This is followed by a quantitative content analysis in the last stage of existence of newspapers, ie from January to October 1938. I was interested what topics editorial gave space, who created the texts as they were long and to which columns they were sorted. I also examined by genres newspaper formed and whether journalists engaged in regional, national or international events . At the conclusion chapter...

Český architekt během politických změn po roce 1989 / Czech Architect during the Political Changes after 1989

Ševčíková, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
In this thesis, the author wants to deal with the broad spectrum of the contemporary Czech architecture. However, the phrase "Czech architect" appears in the title to show that this thesis is not a critical analysis of the stylish development of Czech architecture, but rather a search for links and inspirations that define the modern architectural profession in Czech society. These links and connections are deeply rooted in architects' experiences before and after the political regime change. The author feels that the architects' understanding of today's society and political transformation will help clarify some uncertainties of their meaning and status. One can understand the modern architects and the course of the Czech chamber of architecture as well as the public sector with it's ever changing tendencies ever since 1989 if the broad spectrum of contemporary architecture is kept in perspective.
