The first part is focused on the development of relations between Czech Republic and the European Union from beginning of the Community till the CR entry into the EU. Integration project itself has undergone during the fifty-year history of dramatic development. The aim is to summarize the facts of recent years before the Czech Republic into the European Union in 2004. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the advantages and disadvantages of EU membership. This issue is examined in several politico-economic levels. This section complements the interactive part in the form of research to respondents, the advantages and disadvantages of EU membership. The third part deals with the Czech presidency in general terms. The final part is called the EU's future - the role of CR. I aimed to set the Europe 2020 and its objectives.

This paper is about usage of accounting information in financial analysis. In the first part financial statements under Czech Accounting Standards and under International Financial Reporting Standards are described. The most important differences are discussed. In the second part methods of financial analysis are explained. In the third part practical financial analyses are done for the companies Vodafone Czech Republic, a.s. (reports under CAS) and Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. (reports under IFRS). Main differences in financial analysis which rise from different accounting standards are discussed.

Habits of Czech households are compared with the economically advanced countries, where efficiency in savings is much higher. Work reveals the possibility of value funds, but also the risks that accompany investment. In the final part is swowm, how different could be the effectivenes of risk seeking household in compare to the conservative one.

The thesis focuses on the beginnings and historical development of elementary education in the village of Šindlovy Dvory between 1919 and 1950. It summarizes and analyzes available regional sources. The first chapter deals with the history of connected municipalities from 1259 to 1950. The following chapters are devoted to the emergence of a Czech school, the lesson planning, students´statistics, changes in the teaching staff, extracurricular activities, numerous celebrations, important events, collections and use of the school building. The thesis also examincs the influence of historical events and political changes on education.

Kalendář česko-židovský 1930-1938 / Cezch-jewish Calendar 1930-1938

This thesis explores Czech-jewish yearly Czech-jewish calendar in its last phase from years 1930 to 1938. The main goal was to present this medium in historical context and introduce its editorial staff, publisher, form and content in said time frame. Author describes national and religious identity of jewish communities in Bohemia and focuses mainly on the Czech-jewish movement - the publisher of the medium in question. The thesis then focuses on formal elements of the calendar, including description of calendars as a media type, history of the medium from its first publishing in 1886 and its publisher, Academical Club Kapper. Editorial staff is also presented, focusing on writer Egon Hostovský, other chief editors and discussing other interesting and significant contributors. The thesis is also describing content of the medium, which is divided into fiction/factual literature and practical part. This part also focuses on articles regarding rising antisemitism in Germany and its influence on jewish communities in Czechoslovakia. Author describes historical context before the beginning of the second world war and concludes what led to the end of the Czech-jewish calendar. The goal was to fully describe one of the most important medium of Czech-jewish movement and its purpose in given timeframe.

KEY WORDS Translation into Czech, Czech Literature, French Literature, Literary Reception, Translation History, Czechoslovakia ABSTRACT This MA thesis focuses on translation of French literature into Czech in the period between 1918 and 1929. The thesis is based on a corpus of bibliographic data, which is submitted to analysis from both quantitative and qualitative perspective. The main aim of this study is to describe the spectrum of Czech translations of French fiction published in the second decade of the 20th century. Firstly, the thesis identifies the most often published authors as well as the most influential Czech publishers and describes their major areas of interest. The translated works are classified by genre and literary movement with reference to the prevalent classification in today's referential works on French literary history. Secondly, the thesis summarizes the principal tendencies in the reception of French literature in Czech translation during the period in question.

The first chapter explains the basic geopolitical factors of the Czech Republic and Hungary. The economic progress of both countries during the socialism period will be discussed in the second chapter. The transformation of Hungary and the Czech Republic from the centreally planned economy to the trade economy will be the focus of the third and fourth chapter. After joining the European Union in 2004, both countries have experienced many changes in the bilateral trade in regards to each other, which will be the topic for the following chapters. Both the Pre-EU- as well as the Post-EU periods will be examined in these passages, followed by an analysis of the Mutual Trade Services since 2004. The last element of this project will describe the most significant projects and investments between Czech Republic and Hungary and the organisations supporting the mutual development of business and cultural relations.

This diploma thesis will show how mutual cooperation of small and medium businesses in a tourism cluster can increase promotion and revenue in the tourism industry. Theoretical part of this study presents definitions, characteristics and typology of clusters. Later on, the theoretical part describes practices in the mapping of clusters and a cluster's lifecycle. The last chapters will summarize the benefits of clusters to its stakeholders and means of financing and program support via EU grants. Practical part is focused on the strategy of a tourism cluster in the Central Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. This strategy also includes useful examples of how the cluster members can actively and effectively participate in managing mutual activities and projects. Operations, organizational structure, finance and support are also topics that are going to be discussed in this study.
