Televizní krize (ČT) a "bias" na stránkách českých deníků a týdeníků / Czech TV Crisis on the Biased Pages of the Czech Daily Newspapers and Weekly Magazines

Salát, Jakub January 2010 (has links)
The thesis describes the transposition of the Czech Television crisis on the pages of daily newspapers and weekly magazines. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the genesis of the TV crisis and later shows the problematic of biased news. In the practical part it divides the Czech media according to the quantitative content analysis to the media which openly supported the rebelling journalists or the new management of Czech TV. Interesting in the study is that the traditional right-left division of the Czech media was disproved in the analysis, because the Socialist Party was speaking frequently and with biggest weight also in the traditional right-wing daily newspapers such as Hospodarske noviny, Lidove noviny and Mlada fronta Dnes.

Dvořáčková, Věra January 2011 (has links)
This year the Institute of the Czech Language AS CR (Ustav pro jazyk cesky AV CR) is celebrating the 100th anniversary of foundation of its direct predecessor, the Office of the Dictionary of the Czech Language (Kancelar Slovniku jazyka ceskeho, KSJC) which provided the administrative background for an ambitious lexicographic project launched already in 1905 by the committee for lexicography and dialectology the Czech Academy of Emperor Franz Joseph for sciences, literature and art, to become the Czech Academy for Sciences and Art (CAVU) in 1918. Although much was done between the wars to establish a state-funded language institute, i.e. an institution which would unify the all-encompassing research of language and systematic work with the national language, for financial reasons the Czech Language Institute was established only in 1946. Six years later, the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (CSAV) was founded and incorporated, among others, the Institute of the Czech Language. During the years, the structure of the Institute underwent various changes which were not merely a response to linguistic needs but also to the events of the time relating to the strengthening of the totalitarian communist power. Top Communist Party officials often interfered with personnel matters of the Institute and...

Výstavba odborného textu ve starší a v současné češtině: srovnávací syntaktický rozbor / The structure of scholarly texts in Middle and Modern Czech: a comparative syntactic analysis

Zitová, Anna January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with discourse relations as a parameter of style. Two sets of text samples were analysed, both of which are characterized by the same stylistics features within the cathegory of scholarly style but differ in the date of origin (1500-1620 for one set, 1950- for the other). Analysis is focused on the issue to which extent are semantic relations in the discourse structure marked up by explicit lexical means, i. e. by the discourse connectives. The sets of text samples were annotated according to the scheme used for the discourse annotation in The Prague Dependency Treebank. The hypothesis was confirmed that discourse relations are marked up by the discourse connectives more frequently in the set of texts from the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century than in the other set. It turns out in further investigation that the difference mentioned above was caused by different conventions in placing discourse connectives rather than by establishing different semantic relations between textual units. Role obstrukčního jednání v českém legislativním systémů / The role of obstructions in the Czech legislative system

Sedláček, Martin January 2017 (has links)
The main goal of this thesis is to describe the use of obstruction mechanisms in the Czech legislative system, where in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, as key legislative institutions of the parliamentary system, has been making massive damages in the form of blocking the negotiation of draft laws for many years. The reasons that led to the Rules of Procedure of the Chamber of Deputies permitting the existence of this phenomenon are not quite obvious, but they are an integral part of the parliamentary culture of our country, which existence is mainly used by the legislative minority. Even though the Rules of Procedure have a clear wording, which allow the existence of obstructions, their use is often considered as unconstitutional, as their use often exceeds the affordable limit. The main objective of this theses is to introduce to the reader all the instruments that help to obstructions and subsequently to show their use in practice during the meetings of the Chamber of Deputies within the last three parliamentary term, including the period in progress.
