Opatrná, Marie January 2015 (has links)
disertační práce v anglickém jazyce MGR. ING. MARIE OPATRNÁ REFLECTION OF ITALIAN PAINTING IN WORK OF "CZECH" ARTISTS AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF BAROQUE PAINTING IN THE PERIOD 1611-1650 Školitel práce: DOC. PHDR. MARTIN ZLATOHLÁVEK, PHD. The thesis deals with "Czech" painting of the first half of the 17th century and the Italian influences in it. In order to understand the origin of these influences, it explores Italian sacral painting of the whole 16th century. Nevertheless, the main attention is dedicated to the second half of this century. The part of this theme is explained on the development of academic studies from the 20th century. The second part of the thesis deals with the Czech art-historical literature and with the subject of protobaroque or early baroque painting. These two parts define terms of these periods and their approaches to painting. The main point of interest is the transition in the field of sacral painting from the art of late renaissance to the art of early baroque. The existence of this special period of sacral painting in Czech area is supported by examples of images and their analysis. The conclusion summarizes new findings and opens questions about new view on the Czech painting of the 17th century and about new methodological attitudes.

Současný stav českého jazyka v obci Veselynivka na Ukrajině / The Present-Day State of Czech in the Village of Veselynivka in the Ukraine

Brázdová, Kateřina January 2021 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to describe the Czech language in the context of the language situation in the Czech community situated in the south of the Ukraine in the village of Veselynivka in the Odesa Region. The core of the thesis is formed by results of a field research conducted by the author in 2018. The first part of the text presents a wider context for exploring Czech communities abroad, dealing with eastern emigration from the Czech lands and the current state of the Czech minority in the Ukraine. Next part of the work is devoted to the history and socio-cultural environment of the village of Veselynivka with a focus on education and religion. The following chapters deal with a comprehensive analysis of Veselynivkaʼs Czech, in which we proceed along different language levels - phonetic and phonological, morphological, syntactical and lexical. Linguistic analysis is carried out with an emphasis on two aspects. The first is the coincidence, or mismatch, of individual identifying characteristics with the dialects of Northeastern Bohemia. The second aspect of the research is the influence of the Russian or Ukrainian languages on the local dialect. The research proper draws mainly on transcripts of recordings and data collected in a supplementary dialectological questionnaire. Key words Czech...

Vliv národní identity na české postoje k evropské integraci / The impact of national identity on Czech position towards European integration

Kim, Min Sun January 2021 (has links)
The Czech Republic has been regarded as a little troublemaker of the EU due to its Eurosceptic stances. This phenomenon was distinct in the 2000s regardless of the state's position, whether it was just an EU candidate or already a member state. Around the time, President Vacláv Klaus and his political party (ODS), as Czech leadership, contributed to promoting the Eurosceptic governments towards the EU. It could be seen as strange that such a trait was revealed both in the midst of preparations to join the EU and after its accession when it is the proper time to present a cooperative attitude. Thus, this thesis speculates that the skeptical national identity of the Czech Republic has been constructed throughout history, particularly about 450 years from the Bohemia Kingdom to Czechoslovakia (1525~1971), and affected then Czech domestic politics to formulate the official Eurosceptic positions towards the several EU integration matters (constitutional, security, and monetary integrations). In this context, this master's thesis aims to find an objective correlation that Czech identity had an influence on then Czech Euroscepticism. This way, this thesis expects to advance knowledge concerning Czech identity and its relevance to European politics.

Osvojování češtiny kubánskými mluvčími z fonetického hlediska / Phonetic Aspects of the Acquisition of Czech by Cuban Speakers

Gonzálezová, Julie January 2021 (has links)
This thesis examines the differences between the Czech and Cuban phonological inventory. It aims to give a theoretical overview of both systems, to define phonemes, which do not exist in Cuban Spanish, and based on recordings of Cuban speakers living in Prague to give evidence of how they pronounce these phonemes. The paper is divided into two parts: in the theoretical part, the inventory of vowels and consonants in both Czech and Cuban language is thoroughly described, consequently the differences between those two inventories, and then the phonemes problematic for Cuban speakers are identified. In the experimental part, all the realizations of Czech phonemes appearing in the recordings are described. The paper looks at the realizations of Czech vowels and consonants in light of four main variables (level of Czech language, length of stay in Czechia, language used at home, and language used at work). Finally, the results of the research are summarized. Even though, there are quite a few different variations of the pronunciation, as the level of language goes up (also because of other variables), the number of variations is decreasing, in certain cases to only one variation that is corresponding with the pronunciation of the Czech speakers. Keywords Contrastive Phonetics; Czech; Cuban Spanish;...

Český kulturní diskurs v období třetí Československé republiky / Czech cultural discourse in the Third Czechoslovak Republic

Dudr, Karel January 2022 (has links)
Czech cultural discourse in the Third Czechoslovak Republic The new situation occurring after World War II brought a number of changes, the reconsideration of values and searching for a new orientation in the social and political area as well as in the area of art and culture, which became the subject of often highly escalated controversy, usually conducted on the pages of the contemporary press. This diploma thesis is an analysis of the Czech cultural discourse in the Third Czechoslovak Republic that focuses not only on the textual statements themselves but even on their historical context, on the media environment in which they entered and on the positions of the actors and their access to the discourse. In the analysis, a network of interrelations between the statements, the processes of establishing key topics, forming a consensus, as well as taboo and the attempts for the appropriation of central collective symbols are monitored and reconstructed. The aim of the thesis is to become both a comprehensive characterization of discourse and a deeper insight into the diverse intellectual tendencies of the time.

"České CHicago" - etnohistorický pohled na vývoj českého etnika v americkém městě v letech 1852-1945 / Čzech Chicago" - Ethnohistorical View of the Development of the Czech Minority in the American City in the years 1852-1945

Kříž, Jaroslav January 2022 (has links)
During the migration waves in the 19th century many Czechs immigrated to America. One of their final destinations was the city of Chicago. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries this became the largest Czech occupied base abroad. Over a hundred thousand Czechs lived in Chicago at that time so it was therefore considered to be the third largest Czech city. The topic of the dissertation thesis is the analysis the course of Czech migration to Chicago and the related development of the Czech minority. Key attention is devoted to the socio-cultural, economic and political development of the Czech minority in terms of ethno-historical methods. Furthermore, the author will focus on important historical milestones and events of this city, which in some way influenced the Czech minority. Time definition of work is 1852-1945 and follows from a historical perspective, because the first Czech immigrants arrive in greater numbers to this American territory only in the fifties of the 19th century. On the other hand, the Second World War concludes a period that was important for the Czech ethnic group in Chicago. After 1945 there is a significant assimilation process (the Czech minority is massively Americanized) and the Czech expatriate center is declining in importance.
