<p>För att undersöka vad barn tror händer med ett äpple som fallit till marken har jag gjort kvalitativa intervjuer på två förskolor med sexton barn födda 2003. Jag genomförde även skriftliga och muntliga intervjuer med några pedagoger på förskolorna. Mitt syfte var att undersöka barns föreställningar om nedbrytningsprocessen och jämföra dessa mellan avdelningarna för att se om pedagogerna har påverkat barnens föreställningar genom sin inställning till att arbeta med nedbrytningsprocessen.</p><p> </p><p>Intervjuerna visade att barnen inte har så utvecklade föreställningar om nedbrytning. De flesta tror att äpplet ruttnar och/eller blir helt uppätet av djur. Längre än så har de inte kommit i sitt tänkande. De vet inte hur äpplet ruttnar och det minsta djur de nämnde som äter äpplen var myror. Pedagogerna hade olika inställningar till att arbeta med nedbrytning i förskolorna men jag kan inte se att det har påverkat barnens svar. Inte heller kan jag se någon större skillnad på barnens föreställningar mellan de två förskolorna och dess avdelningar.</p><p> </p> / <p>In order to find out what children believe happens to an apple that has fallen to the ground I have interviewed fifteen children born 2003 in two pre-schools. I have also interviewed some of the pedagogues in both pre-schools. My purpose was to find out the children’s conceptions about the decomposition process and compare them between the departments to see if the pedagogue’s had affected the children’s conceptions by their attitudes towards working with the decomposition process.</p><p> </p><p>The interviews showed that the children don’t have such developed conceptions about the decomposition process. Most of them knows that the apple gets rotten or eaten up by animals. This is how far they have thought. They don’t know how apples get rotten and the smallest animal eating apples they mention were ants. The pedagogues had different concepts about working with the decomposition process in pre-schools but I can’t see that it has affected the children’s answers. Neither can I see any bigger different in the children’s ideas between the two pre-schools and their departments.</p>

Previous issue date: 2012-09-10 / Studies on the effects of changes in biodiversity and ecosystem functioning have been a central theme in ecology over the past two decades. Several studies have showed that the diversity of plant debris differently affects the decomposition process in aquatic and terrestrial environments, but we know very about the effects of detritus diversity on decomposition under fluctuating environmental conditions. We tested whether and how the environmental contexts, as well as the dynamic of their alternation, influence the effects of detritus diversity on the decomposition process. We performed a field experiment where we manipulate the litter diversity of 8 species of terrestrial plants decomposing (litterbags) in single and in mixture containing the eight species together in three different environmental contexts: the terrestrial environment (T), aquatic (A) and interface (I) - experimental treatment that simulates variation in flooding regime. We measured the rate of decomposition through the loss of mass of the community and each individual detritus in monocultures and mixtures. Species richness and environmental variability had no effects on the magnitude and stability of the decomposition process. However, there were significant diversity effects on the decomposition of an individual alien species, F. benjamina. Environmental context had significant effects on the magnitude and variability of decomposition. Detritus decomposition was faster and more variable on aquatic, interface and terrestrial conditions, respectively. Our results demonstrate that the diversity of plant detritus has minor effects to the decomposition across disparate environmental conditions and suggest that it is necessary to consider the potential of other abiotic factors in affect the magnitude and variability of the decomposition processes / O estudo a respeito dos efeitos de altera??es da biodiversidade sobre o funcionamento dos ecossistemas tem sido um tema central na ecologia ao longo das duas ?ltimas d?cadas. V?rios trabalhos t?m demonstrado que a diversidade de detrito vegetal afeta diferentemente o processo de decomposi??o em ambientes aqu?ticos e terrestres, mas os efeitos da diversidade de detritos sobre a decomposi??o em contextos ambientais vari?veis ? uma quest?o ainda pouco testada dentro do debate de biodiversidade e funcionamento de ecossistemas. Para avaliar se o contexto ambiental, bem como a din?mica de sua altern?ncia, influenciam os efeitos da diversidade de detrito sobre o processo de decomposi??o, foi realizado um experimento de campo onde manipulamos a diversidade de detrito foliar (em litterbags) de 8 esp?cies de plantas terrestres, que decompuseram em monoculturas individuais e em mistura contendo as 8 esp?cies juntas, em tr?s contextos ambientais distintos: ambiente terrestre (T); ambiente aqu?tico (A) e interface (I) - tratamento experimental que simula a condi??o vari?vel do regime de alagamento. As matas riparias tem efeitos positivos sobre a qualidade da água em rios de baixa ordem. O cultivo e a substituição de plantas de espécies nativas por espécies exóticas, tem efeitos e impactos significativos na biodiversidade de ambientes aquáticos e terrestre. O cultivo de Eucalyptus ocupam áreas de importância biológica e ambiental, causando impactos que ainda são pouco estudados, interferindo no funcionamento dos cursos de água que são dependentes do material foliar disponível nas margens dos rios como fonte de energia e nutrientes. O presente trabalho comparou a decomposição de folhas de espécies nativas (Inga marginata e Matayba elaeagnoides) e folhas de uma espécie exótica (Eucalyptus grandis) durante as estações seca e chuvosa, num riacho localizado no interior da Floresta Nacional de Ipanema, unidade de conservação situada no sudeste do estado de São Paulo. Para a comparação foi utilizado o método de litter bags usando sacos de malha grossa plástica de 10 mm de abertura, por períodos de no máximo 60 dias. Neste período também foi avaliada a colonização de macroinvertebrados bentônicos em cada um dos tratamentos testados. Entre as estações (seca e chuvosa), as perdas de massa foliar foram distintas, assim também existiram diferenças entre as espécies de plantas testadas (Inga marginata, Matayba elaeagnoides e Eucalyptus grandis), sendo sempre maior a perda nas folhas de Inga marginata, seguida das folhas de Eucalyptus grandis e Matayba elaeagnoides, e obtendo os maiores valores de perda de massa na estação chuvosa. Foram identificados 801 indivíduos que colonizaram nos três tratamentos testados na época seca e 556 indivíduos que colonizaram nos tratamentos na época chuvosa, existindo uma relação entre os valores de perda de massa e a abundância de organismos macroinvertebrados para cada um dos tratamentos, sendo os tratamentos com maiores perdas os que tiveram maiores valores de organismos colonizados. Os maiores valores de perda de massa para a folha de Inga marginata foi maior em comparação dos outros tratamentos além de apresentar a maior quantidade de macroinvertebrados aquáticos colonizados nas duas épocas avaliadas. As famílias mais representativas foram: Chironomidae, Hyalellidae, Gomphidae, Calamoceratidae, Leptophlebiidae e Elmidae. Assim os grupos funcionais com maior presença foram os grupos coletor e predador, não existindo diferenças significativas na presença destes grupos. O grupo fragmentador foi o terceiro grupo mais representativo para os três tratamentos e nas duas épocas avaliadas. Nesse tipo de ambiente tropical, a comunidade de fungos e bactérias é rico e diverso, fazendo esse processo biológico, importante para a transformação das folhas em um recurso de maior facilidade de assimilação para seu aproveitamento, tornando assim as folhas mais acessíveis para os organismos invertebrados. Deste modo, por exemplo transformando as folhas de eucalipto em um recurso, sendo estas folhas também acondicionadas para o consumo dos organismos e podendo-se constituir como um recurso adicional para a biota e os organismos se adaptando para a assimilação deste recurso. A presença de folhas de eucalipto pode influenciar na colonização dos organismos invertebrados, podendo interferir no processo natural da colonização de macroinvertebrados aquáticos e alterando a disponibilidade de nutrientes dentro das teias tróficas destes sistemas aquáticos. / The crumbled vegetation has positive effects on water quality in a low river. The crop plants and replacement of native species by exotic species, has significant effects and impacts on biodiversity of aquatic and terrestrial environments. Eucalyptus cultivation occupies areas of biological and environmental importance, causing impacts that are still poorly studied, interfering with the operation of the waterways that depend on available vegetable waste on the banks of rivers as a source of energy and nutrients. This study compared the decomposition of leaves of native species (Inga marginata and Matayba elaeagnoides) and leaves of an exotic species (Eucalyptus grandis) during the dry and rainy seasons in a river located within of the Floresta Nacional de Ipanema, conservation unit located in the southeastern state of São Paulo. For the comparison, the litter bags method was used. Thus, networks of plastic coarse mesh with an opening of 10 mm maximum were used for periods of 60 days. In this period the colonization of bentic macroinvertebrates in each of the treatments was also evaluated. Between the seasons (dry and rainy), losses of plant mass were different among different species of evaluated plants (Inga marginata, Matayba elaeagnoides and Eucalyptus grandis), considering that the loss of leaves of Inga marginata was higher, followed by the Eucalyptus grandis and Matayba elaeagnoides leaves. As a result, the loss of mass in the rainy season was evident. Thus, 801 individuals that colonized the three treatments evaluated in the dry season and 556 individuals that colonized treatments in the rainy season were identified. As consequence, there is a relationship between the values of loss of plant material and abundance of macroinvertebrates organisms for each of the treatments. The treatments with higher losses those who had higher values of colonized organisms. The largest mass loss values for Inga marginata sheet was higher in comparison of other treatments as well as presenting the greatest amount of aquatic macroinvertebrates colonized in the two seasons evaluated. The most representative families were: Chironomidae, Hyalellidae, Gomphidae, Calamoceratidae, Leptophlebiidae and Elmidae. Thus, the functional groups with the largest presence were collectors and predators groups, with no significant differences in the presence of these groups, the shredder group was the third most representative group for the three treatments and two periods evaluated. In this type of tropical environment, the community of fungi and bacteria is abundant and diverse, making of this biological process, an important aspect for the transformation of leaves in a resource ease of assimilation for its use, allowing these to become more accessible for invertebrate organisms. Considering the previous information, this allowed the Eucalyptus leaves transform in a resource available for consumption of organisms and being able to be as an additional resource for biota and organisms adapting to the assimilation of this resource. Thus, the presence of Eucalyptus leaves can influence the colonization of invertebrate organisms, it may interfere with the natural process of colonization of aquatic macroinvertebrates and altering the availability of nutrients in the food chains of these aquatic ecosystems.

Although service oriented architecture has reached a particular maturity level especially in the technological dimension, there is a lack of common and acceptable approach to design a software system through composition and integration of web services. In this thesis, a service oriented system design approach for Service Oriented Architecture based software development is introduced to fill this gap. This new methodology basically offers a procedural top-down decomposition of a given software system allowing several abstraction levels. At the higher levels of the decomposition, the system is divided into abstract nodes that correspond to process models in the decomposition tree. Any node is a process and keeps the sequence and the state information for the possible sub-processes in this decomposition tree. Nodes which are defined as process models may include some sub-nodes to present details for the intermediate levels of the model. Eventually at the leaf level, process models are decomposed into existing web services as the atomic units of system execution. All processes constructing the system decomposition tree are modeled with BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) to expose the algorithmic details of the design. This modeling technique is also supported with a graphical modeling language referred to as SOSEML (Service Oriented Software Engineering Modeling Language) that is also newly introduced in this thesis.

In this thesis, a service oriented decomposition approach: Use case Driven Service Oriented Architecture (UDSOA), is introduced to close the gap between business requirements and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) design by including business use cases and system use cases into decomposition process. The approach is constructed upon Service Oriented Software Engineering (SOSE) modeling technique and aims to fill the deficits of it at the decomposition phase. Further, it aims to involve both business vision and Information Technologies concerns in the decomposition process. This approach starts with functional top-down decomposition of the domain. Then, business use cases are used for further decomposition because of their high-level view. This connects the business requirements and our SOA design. Also it raises the level of abstraction which allows us to focus on business services. Second step of the SOA approach uses system use cases to continue decomposition. System use cases help discovering technical web services and allocating them on the decomposition tree. Service oriented analysis also helps separating business and technical services in tightly coupled architecture conditions. Those two steps together bring quality in to both problem and solution domains.

A l’échelle de l’agro-écosystème, la productivité primaire est sous la dépendance du recyclage des matières organiques du sol (MOS) par l’action des organismes indigènes décomposeurs, qui minéralisent les composés organiques libérant ainsi les nutriments nécessaires à la croissance végétale. A une échelle plus globale, le recyclage des MOS détermine les flux de carbone entre le sol et l’atmosphère, avec des conséquences majeures sur la qualité de l’environnement et les changements globaux. Malgré le rôle central des microorganismes indigènes dans ces processus, la composante microbienne est encore mal connue et souvent considérée comme une boîte noire en termes de diversité et de fonctionnalité. Par conséquent, pour mieux comprendre et prédire l’évolution des MOS et donc les flux de carbone (C) dans les agro-écosystèmes, il est nécessaire de mieux connaitre les populations et les mécanismes microbiens impliqués dans leur dégradation et transformation. Dans ce contexte, l’objectif de cette thèse était de progresser dans la connaissance de la réponse des communautés microbiennes telluriques à l’apport de résidus de culture. Cette réponse des communautés microbiennes a été abordée en termes de (i) succession des populations impliquées dans les processus de dégradation de ces MOF (matières organiques fraîches), (ii) lien avec leur fonction de dégradation et répercussion sur la dynamique des matières organiques, et (iii) rôle dans les processus de stockage/déstockage du carbone via les processus de « priming effect ». Différents paramètres pouvant moduler la dégradation des résidus et la dynamique des communautés ont été pris en compte : modalité d’apport des résidus (pratiques culturales), qualité biochimique des résidus (différentes espèces végétales), et température. La stratégie globale de recherche développée repose sur des expérimentations de terrain et au laboratoire impliquant différentes échelles spatiales (du microcosme de sol à la parcelle agronomique) et temporelles (du temps de génération microbien aux cycles culturaux). La réponse des communautés microbiennes à l’apport de résidus a été évaluée par l’utilisation de méthodes moléculaires permettant de caractériser sans a priori la diversité des microorganismes du sol (empreintes moléculaires, clonage/séquençage, séquençage haut débit). En parallèle, un suivi quantitatif et qualitatif de la matière organique du sol, par des méthodes de biochimie ou de spectroscopie, a été réalisé afin d’établir le lien entre la dynamique des communautés microbiennes et le devenir de la matière organique dans le sol. Les deux premiers chapitres du manuscrit portent sur des expérimentations réalisées au terrain (conditions naturelles) afin d’évaluer l’influence de la localisation des résidus (résidus de blé incorporés vs. laissés en surface ; site expérimentale INRA Mons) d’une part et d’autre part de la qualité biochimique des résidus (résidus de blé, colza et luzerne incorporés, site expérimentale INRA Epoisses) sur la dynamique des communautés microbiennes du sol. Les résultats obtenus mettent en évidence une forte influence de la localisation comme de la qualité biochimique des résidus sur les successions de populations microbiennes induites suite à l’apport. Des populations/groupes microbiens stimulés spécifiquement dans chaque modalité ont été identifiés. Les résultats de diversité ont été mis en regard des dynamiques de décomposition des résidus, afin de faire le lien entre les successions de populations et l’évolution des ressources trophiques. La troisième partie du travail correspond à une expérimentation en conditions contrôlées (microcosmes de sol) nous permettant de coupler des outils moléculaires et isotopiques (ADN-SIP) pour cibler spécifiquement les populations microbiennes activement impliquées dans la dégradation des résidus de culture - etc / The effect of the location of wheat residues (soil surface vs. incorporated in soil) on their decomposition and on soil bacterial communities was investigated by the means of a field experiment. Bacterial-Automated Ribosomal Intergenic Spacer Analysis (B-ARISA) of DNA extracts from residues, detritusphere (soil adjacent to residues), and bulk soil evidenced that residues constitute the zone of maximal changes in bacterial composition. However, the location of the residues influenced greatly their decomposition and the dynamics of the colonizing bacterial communities. Sequencing of 16S rRNA gene in DNA extracts from the residues at the early, middle, and late stages of degradation confirmed the difference of composition of the bacterial community according to the location. Bacteria belonging to the -subgroup of proteobacteria were stimulated when residues were incorporated whereas the -subgroup was stimulated when residues were left at the soil surface. Moreover, Actinobacteria were more represented when residues were left at the soil surface. According to the ecological attributes of the populations identified, our results suggested that climatic fluctuations at the soil surface select populations harboring enhanced catabolic and/or survival capacities whereas residues characteristics likely constitute the main determinant of the composition of the bacterial community colonizing incorporated residues. Microbial communities are of major importance in the decomposition of soil organic matter. However, the identities and dynamics of the populations involved are still poorly documented. We investigated, in a eleven-month field experiment, how the initial biochemical quality of crop residues could lead to specific decomposition patterns, linking biochemical changes undergone by the crop residues to the respiration, biomass and genetic structure of the soil microbial communities. Wheat, alfalfa and rape residues were incorporated into the 0-15 cm layer of the soil of field plots by tilling. Biochemical changes in the residues occurring during degradation were assessed by near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Qualitative modifications in the genetic structure of the bacterial communities were determined by Bacterial-Automated Ribosomal Intergenic Spacer Analysis (B-ARISA). Bacterial diversity in the three crop residues at early and late stages of decomposition process was further analyzed from a molecular inventory of the 16S rDNA. The decomposition of plant residues in croplands was shown to involve specific biochemical characteristics and microbial communities dynamics which were clearly related to the quality of the organic inputs. Decay stage and seasonal shifts occurred by replacement of copiotrophic populations/bacterial groups such as proteobacteria successful on younger residues with those successful on more extensively decayed material such as Actinobacteria. However, relative abundance of proteobacteria depended greatly on the composition of the residues, with a gradient observed from alfalfa to wheat, suggesting that this bacterial group may represent a good indicator of crop residues degradability and modifications during the decomposition process...

L’inhumanité de l’humain : psychogenèse de la violence du tueur en série / Humankind inhumanity : the serial killer’s violence psychogenesisEdrosa, Martine 23 September 2014 (has links)
Comment comprendre qu’un bébé naissant doté de vitalité et de potentialités à l’humanité, devienne un jour tueur en série ? Cette thèse propose une étude de la psychogenèse de la violence du tueur en série, à travers les cinq périodes qui structurent le développement humain : archaïque, infantile, latence, adolescence, adulte. Elle s’appuie sur un cas clinique et sur du matériel expertal. Ma réflexion s’ouvre par un parallèle avec la clinique du génocide, qui conduit à définir la criminalité des tueurs en série comme un crime contre l’Humain, invitant dès lors à reconstruire les différentes étapes de la déstructuration de leur processus d’humanisation. Le contexte d’émergence de cette criminalité est situé dans la rencontre avec un environnement parental impitoyable qui a désorganisé doublement, chez le bébé, l’appropriation de l’identité humaine héritée génétiquement mais aussi la construction de l’identité subjective construite au fil de l’enfance. La criminalité du tueur en série est envisagée comme une « organisation défensive » dirigée contre une « agonie primitive » spécifique (ou « angoisse impensable ») qui a « offensé » le potentiel à l’humanité du bébé, dans la lignée des théories de D. W. Winnicott. La violence du tueur en série est étudiée grâce à une construction théorico-clinique créée sur mesure, mais elle est aussi resituée dans le cadre plus large de l’inhumanité de l’humain. Surtout, cette thèse a le souci constant de proposer une réflexion accessible au lecteur néophyte en quête de réponses (victimes, familles de victimes, professionnels de terrain peu habitués à la terminologie psychanalytique). / How shall we understand that a new born baby full of life and ready to embrace humanity might become one day a serial killer ? The purpose of this thesis is to study the psychogenesis of the serial killer violence through the analysis of the five key stages which are structuring human devel-opment : archaic stage, childish stage, latency stage, teenage & adult stages. This work is based on a clinical case and experts’ documents.My work is starting with a comparison with the clinical analysis of a genocide, which is de-fining serial killers’ criminality as a crime against humankind, and therefore leading us to rebuilding the different steps of their humanity breakdown process. The context, in which this criminality is emerging, lays in the confluence with a ruthless parental environment which has disorganized both the baby’s ownership of the genetically inherited human identity and the construction of a subjective identity. The serial killer criminality is considered as a “defense organization” aimed at protecting against a specific “primitive agony” (or “unthinkable anxiety”) which has “offended” the baby’s potential to humanity – in line with D.W. Winnicott’s theories.The serial killer’s violence is studied using a custom made theoretical and clinical construction, but it is also considered in the wider scope of human inhumanity. More importantly, this thesis aims at providing analysis and understanding which are accessible to neophyte readers looking for answers (victims and their families, field experts not used to psychoanalytic terminology).
