Jsou velikost těla a druhově specifické zbarvení důležitými znaky pro rozpoznávání predátorů potenciální kořistí? / Are body size and specific species colouration important cues for predator recognition by their potencial prey? Diplomová práce

Antonová, Kateřina January 2018 (has links)
I tested influence of a body size and overal colouration in feeders experiments on recognition of sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) by chosen species of passerine. Experiments were conducted in years 2015 ̶ 2018. I used a plush dummies which carried a specific featuress of raptor (hooked beak, claws) and specific features of genus Accipiter (yellow eyes, respectively yellow eyes and overal colouration). As a control, dummy of harmless pigeon was used. Smaller dummies (size of a great tit) were not recognized as a raptor regardless of colouration. Large dummies with colouration of great tit and pigeon were not recognized as a raptor as well. On a contrary, large dummy with colouration of robin was recognized as a raptor, respectively sparrowhawk. Most birds who were flying to the feeders, at first payed attention to global features (size, overal colouration). If these features belong to well-known harmless bird, then local features (particular) which characterize raptor or sparrowhawk had no effect. Birds did not pay attention to them. Therefore it depends on a context, in which potential local key features occure.

Steklíková, Eliška January 2012 (has links)
This diploma thesis summarises current approaches to age management, or human resources management taking in account the age and skills of employees in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this paper deals with the background of this concept, describes the present demographical development, its consequences in the labour field, and the problem of aging population which is visible in the need to adapt applied management strategies in organisations to this trend. There are mentioned several programmes, thoughts, and legislative measures on which the newest concepts and strategic plans in Europe and the Czech Republic are based. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on a specific level of organisations, and consists of two surveys. The first one is a comparative case study for which data were collected in two organisations which have recently implemented measures stemming from age management strategies. These measures are then specified and confronted with the statements of the employees who, in semi-structured interviews with the author, talked about the changes that were put into practice under the concept of age management, and about the discrimination of persons over 50 years of age on the labour market. Transport oxidu uhličitého listem hypostomatických rostlin / Carbon dioxide transport through the hypostomatous plant leaf

NEUWIRTHOVÁ, Jitka January 2015 (has links)
Mesophyll conductance is (together with stomatal conductance) a crucial component of diffusion limitations of photosynthesis and it is important to understand the mechanisms of CO2 fluxes through the leaves. Here I tested a new technique for estimation of drawdown in CO2 concentration across hypostomatous leaves based on carbon isotope composition (13C) of leaf cuticle and cuticular waxes isolated from opposite leaf sides.

Gender v každodenní práci - samospráva a veřejná správa / Gender in everyday work - self-government and public administration

JAROLÍMKOVÁ, Jana January 2015 (has links)
Because of I am a woman the gender issues are very close to me. Different perceptions of men and women we can see all arend us. Attributing stereotypical roles may have influence for the society as a whole. Currently have these issues the more and more attention. I believe that this is a favorable time for a change. From the available sources it is clear that sex discrimination does exist. Women do not have the same conditions as men. The role of mother has not enough for them. They want to achieve their own successes. And the more successes they want to achieve, the more they are forced to overcome barriers. In the theoretical part, after studying literature and other sources, I'm trying to describe briefly the main ideas of feminism and its influence on the pursuit of equality between men and women. Attention was focused primarily on gender, describing the basic concepts, as shown in the society and what principles are used in practice in these issues. After then I examine the labor market and the discrimination that exists here. From the available literature, I found out what the position of women and men in the labor market and what types of discrimination women face. I described the legislative measures in the Czech Republic and European Union. The closing part of theoretical part I focused for the women in politics and leadership positions and barriers, which restrict them access to these realms. The practical part of my work is divided into two chapters. In the first chapter, I analyzed the situation on the labor market of Czech Republic in terms of women's representation in politics. Representation of women is very low. I expressed my opinion on the issue of equal representation of men and women in politics and quotas that could solve this situation. The second chapter is devoted of the research, in which I learned how the public perceived gender issues, whether they met with the discrimination on the labor market themselves and whether they agree with these positive measures like the correct solution for this problem. For gaining these datas, I chose the method of questionnaire survey, thanks to which I managed to get valid answers from 195 respondents. In the final part, I evaluated the results of the questionnaire and to suggested the recommendations how to resolve the current situation.

ZÁLESKÝ, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
Carbon isotope discrimination (?13C) may be an appropriate measure for determination of the water use efficiency (WUE) of plants. This work confirms the negative correlation of ?13C and WUE in selected genotypes of barley and wheat. It also deals with the suitability of using the observed relationship in breeding of drought resistant crops.

Mediální obraz seniorů / Medial Image of Seniors

SKÁLOVÁ, Markéta January 2012 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is the most faithful interpretation of a senior´s image presented by media taking into consideration possible culture, political, social, alternatively other contexts jointly forming and affecting this image. During the data collection and their evaluation following research questions were taken into account: Do media information concerning seniors come under a typification and/or stereo-typification? Do the media correctly use terms "a senior" or "a pensioner"? Is it possible to discover an age-related discrimination in the media? To achieve this objective there was used a methodical support in a form of a content analysis of the most popular Czech dailies (Blesk, MF Dnes, Právo, Aha!) in the period from January 1st, 2010 to June 30th, 2012. The content analysis was followed by an interpretative part of the research based on the Glaser-Strauss´ grounded theory method. It was followed by a comparison and evaluation of the above stated methods using a categorization and a description of each of those categories arising from the research results.
