Zabezpečovací systém s komunikací přes mobilní telefon / Security system with mobile phone communication

Ulbrich, Jakub January 2009 (has links)
This thesis deals with the question of electronic security systems. In the forepart are described electronic security system components such as keyboards, detectors, alarm devices etc. Various methods of security or de-security of properties, trespassing and other events detection methods, and ways of alarm calling are described there too. The next part of the master’s thesis focuses on the construction of an alarm system which is designed for security of a common-size flat with one entry. The system manages to control up to four movement detectors. The operation of the system is handled by a 16 button keyboard, and easy orientation is provided thanks to a liquid crystal display. The alarm is signaled by an indoor alert siren, however, other alarm announcing devices with an input matched for the log. 0 or log. 1 reception can be connected too. The system contains communication equipment (mobile phone) which signals alarm at a distance to the three telephone numbers. User can use a distance control by text message to unlock system or to determine its status. The system is controlled by the microcontroller AVR ATmega16, the product of Atmel company. A brief description of all components of the electronic alarm system is included in this work.

Vom ersten Gedanken zum Konzept - der Weg zum digitalen Archiv

Stenzel, Ulrich 29 March 2022 (has links)
The lecture is a result of my own experience in dealing with the topic. It is intended to make it clear that digital archiving is a topic that everyone has to 'dig into' and gain their own insights in exchange with others. It describes the initial situation in the Northern Church and the attempts to secure funding for digital archiving. He shows how outsiders can be made aware of the explosive nature of preserving digital information. And he wants to encourage people to simply get started. After all, we all started small!

Är detaljhandlarna fast i det förflutna? : En fallstudie av IKEAs köksavdelning / Are retailers prisoner of the past? : A case study of IKEA kitchen department

Randau, Emma, Tordsson, Frida January 2020 (has links)
Consumer behaviour has changed, today consumers do not solely search for information in the physical store prior to a complex purchase. Technological development and online stores have enabled consumers to search for information whenever and wherever they want. This has led to consumers being more informed than ever. The change and development of consumer behaviour is an important research subject, as companies must understand their consumers in order to create the best business strategies and business models possible. Therefore, is the aim of this thesis to gain a deeper understanding of this changed consumer behaviour and if the physical store might have a different role during consumer preparation prior to a complex purchase. The design used was a case study of IKEA’s kitchen department. Our intention was to understand important aspects of consumer preparation, information search and behaviour prior to a complex purchase. Therefore, was a mixed method strategy was used, which allowed us to understand if the role of the physical store has changed during consumer preparation prior to a complex purchase. This was studied through observations, questionnaire and interviews. Due to the usage of eye-tracking technology during the observation, we could study the respondent’s behaviour more in detail than previous research has done. The conclusion of the study is that the physical store still has an important role when consumers purchase complex products. Foremost, due to consumers’ having a great need to touch and feel the product, and to gain the whole picture of what they intend to purchase. Therefore, was the main conclusion that the role of the physical store prior to a complex purchase is to complement the information available online, by enabling consumers to interact with the products in a real world environment.

Desekuritizace a strategické narativy: čínská iniciativa 16/17+1 cílící na země střední a východní Evropy / Desecuritisation and Strategic Narratives: China's 16/17+1 Initiative in the Central and Eastern European Countries

Zhai, Dongyu January 2020 (has links)
This dissertation uses Critical Discourse Analysis to examine China's strategic use of desecuritised language in its 16/17+1 foreign policy targeting the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. Through the lens of securitisation theory and strategic narratives, the analysis suggests that China's foreign policy narrative targeting the CEE countries is strategic in nature and is a representation of China's ambition to form a new global order. As such, the desecuritisation strategies are used instrumentally to alleviate 'China threat' perception, increase the attractiveness of China in the region, and to further achieve its economic and geopolitical goals. Among political elites in the Visegrád 4 countries, namely Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia, the level of reception of China's strategic narratives varies. The pro-China attitude at the governmental level is mainly motivated by economic incentives promised in the Chinese narrative as well as the governments' own political agendas. In a parallel process, converse anti-China sentiments and re-securitisation of China in the countries are largely connected to the primacy of the trans-Atlantic relationship with the US as well as the importance attached to European values. Keywords Chinese foreign policy, Central and Eastern European Countries,...

Hfs Plus File System Exposition And Forensics

Ware, Scott 01 January 2012 (has links)
The Macintosh Hierarchical File System Plus, HFS +, or as it is commonly referred to as the Mac Operating System, OS, Extended, was introduced in 1998 with Mac OS X 8.1. HFS+ is an update to HFS, Mac OS Standard format that offers more efficient use of disk space, implements international friendly file names, future support for named forks, and facilitates booting on non-Mac OS operating systems through different partition schemes. The HFS+ file system is efficient, yet, complex. It makes use of B-trees to implement key data structures for maintaining meta-data about folders, files, and data. The implementation of what happens within HFS+ at volume format, or when folders, files, and data are created, moved, or deleted is largely a mystery to those who are not programmers. The vast majority of information on this subject is relegated to documentation in books, papers, and online content that direct the reader to C code, libraries, and include files. If one can’t interpret the complex C or Perl code implementations the opportunity to understand the workflow within HFS+ is less than adequate to develop a basic understanding of the internals and how they work. The basic concepts learned from this research will facilitate a better understanding of the HFS+ file system and journal as changes resulting from the adding and deleting files or folders are applied in a controlled, easy to follow, process. The primary tool used to examine the file system changes is a proprietary command line interface, CLI, tool called fileXray. This tool is actually a custom implementation of the HFS+ file system that has the ability to examine file system, meta-data, and data level information that iv isn’t available in other tools. We will also use Apple’s command line interface tool, Terminal, the WinHex graphical user interface, GUI, editor, The Sleuth Kit command line tools and DiffFork 1.1.9 help to document and illustrate the file system changes. The processes used to document the pristine and changed versions of the file system, with each experiment, are very similar such that the output files are identical with the exception of the actual change. Keeping the processes the same enables baseline comparisons using a diff tool like DiffFork. Side by side and line by line comparisons of the allocation, extents overflow, catalog, and attributes files will help identify where the changes occurred. The target device in this experiment is a two-gigabyte Universal Serial Bus, USB, thumb drive formatted with Global Unit Identifier, GUID, and Partition Table. Where practical, HFS+ special files and data structures will be manually parsed; documented, and illustrated.

Space Weather Simulation Model Integration

Molin, Alice, Johnstone, Julia January 2023 (has links)
Space weather is the field within the space sciences that studies how the Earths magnetosphere is influenced by the Sun. The Sun is constantly emitting dangerous radiation and plasma which in some cases can affect or damage the systems on Earth. Scientists have an interest in studying this interaction and therefore visualizations of space weather data are useful. OpenSpace is an interactive software that visualizes the entire known universe with real-time data. OpenSpace supports a range of different visualization methods and techniques, for this work, the relevant visualization tools are field lines and cut planes. GAMERA is a simulation model that simulates a wide range of situations where plasma is subjected to the influence of magnetic fields, the simulations are based on curvilinear grids. This project focuses on implementing data from GAMERA into OpenSpace. OpenSpace already supports a variety of different simulation models, although none that uses curvilinear grids for the data. The curvilinear grid can adapt to the specific shape and geometry of the data, allowing for more accurate data representation. The project aims to create a pipeline for reading data files from simulation runs and visualize it as field lines and cut planes. The files used in this project contain data suitable for volumes and field lines. The method was to first develop a reader to extract and manage desired data from HDF5 files in which the simulation data is stored. The data used to visualize field lines is rendered with an already existing component in OpenSpace. Secondly, a slice operation was developed to extract cut planes from the files containing data for volume visualization, these are then visualized with the help of a component for rendering cut planes which was developed during this work. The work led to a pipeline that reads and manages simulation data from GAMERA and the data is successfully visualized. However, there is room for improvement in color rendering, robustness and level of user interaction during runtime. / <p>Examensarbetet är utfört vid Institutionen för teknik och naturvetenskap (ITN) vid Tekniska fakulteten, Linköpings universitet</p>
