In this thesis we will discuss the process of formation of the nursing technician taking into account the possible contradictions that affect such formation. We aim to answer how the nursing technician training is in relation to the conditions of the course offering, taking into account the following variables: pedagogical political project, teachers and students. The criticism which is made to professional qualification of the nursing technicians is presented on the basis of social, political and economic determinants that have influenced the teaching and the practice of nursing in the country as well as the laws and rules that regulate the activities of technical education. The research is characterized itself from the fundamentals of qualitative research and it has as its data collection instrument the documental analysis and questionnaire. The research subjects were the coordinators, teachers and students of a nursing technical course. The hypothesis we point is that the formation of the nursing technician is marked by contradictions and it seeks to meet the training for the labor market without prioritize the referenced training that articulate the several knowledge dimensions. This study is organized into three chapters that deal with the project of the current society; legal system about the training of nursing technicians and finally with the analysis of what was collected, reflecting the reality of the nursing technicians formation. / Nesta dissertação, discutiremos sobre o processo de formação do técnico em enfermagem levando em consideração as possíveis contradições que afetam tal formação. Visamos responder como está organizada a formação do técnico em enfermagem no que diz respeito às condições de oferecimento do curso, considerando-se as variáveis: projeto político pedagógico, corpo docente e discente. A crítica que se realiza à formação profissional dos técnicos em enfermagem é apresentada com base nos determinantes sociais, políticos e econômicos que influenciaram o ensino e a prática da enfermagem no país bem como a elaboração das leis e normas que regulamentam as atividades da educação técnica. A pesquisa se caracteriza a partir dos fundamentos da pesquisa qualitativa e tem como instrumentos de coleta de dados a análise documental e questionário. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram coordenadores, professores e estudantes de um curso técnico de enfermagem. A hipótese que apontamos é que a formação do técnico em enfermagem é marcada por contradições e busca atender a uma formação para o mercado de trabalho não priorizando a formação referenciada que articule as várias dimensões do conhecimento. Os resultados confirmam a hipótese, visto que a formação do técnico em enfermagem é pautada em contradições e tem como grande interlocutor os interesses do projeto hegemônico capitalista que dão as diretrizes da organização, as prioridades e os conteúdos direcionados principalmente por uma concepção produtivista.
