The profession of a general nurse is a specific job with high demands. At present, recruiting and retaining general nurses is an urgent and fundamental problem not only in the Czech Republic but also worldwide. The extent of the shortage of general nurses is not clear. The Czech Nursing Association (ČAS) reports figures ranging from 2000 to 3300 for the years 2017 and 2018. The lack of trained and qualified general nurses results in a series of negative effects, impacting not only the quality but also availability of the care provided. Some foreign studies even indicate that the shortage of nurses increases the likelihood of complications and patient deaths (Aiken et al., 2014). By recognizing the motivational and demotivational factors impacting the satisfaction of nurses we can help to retain general nurses in their jobs and increase their work performance. The research survey implemented at one specific intensive care unit of the highest level was conducted using the qualitative research method. The diploma thesis on Development of Front-end Applications focuses on the design of computerization of enterprise processes covered by a unified front-end application. Exploratory research was used to suggest working methods to solve technological growth of the enterprise and how to evaluate business need of a front-end application. Later chapters present basic summary of development methodology used for automation of business processes. The diploma thesis innovatively proposes a role of a front-end specialist who does not need to create a program code and has closer relation to business departments. There are recommend analytical standards and development tools for automation of business processes as well as front-end implementation. The subjects of this thesis are low-energy and passive houses. The main objective is to compare the acquisition costs and operating cost of the low energy and passive houses with conventional construction of houses offering the real estate market, respectively evaluating of investments in energy-efficient buildings. Furthermore, the work focuses on the history, properties and basic problems of designing energy efficient buildings with subsequent by an assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of their implementation. The first part of this diploma thesis is to design an energy-efficient hotel with restaurant and car parking. The second part is also to create an assessment of the energy performance of the building and usage of energy from renewable sources. Hotel is designed with the idea of „smart buildings“ which means, that all the technological background is controlled by the main computer, which also harvests data to achieve a minimum energy use and financial demand and maximum comfort and safety at the same time by controlling the connected technology. By placing on a sloped terrain in the center of Brno, the basement floor can be used as car parking. The roof of this building is flat, green, with modifications for placing solar panels, whose design is part of this work. The third part of this diploma thesis is the spatial acoustics of the conference room on the first ground floor.
