This master thesis is aimed at information systems and a correct method of their selection. The theoretical part introduces the dilemma within information systems, ERP systems, their examination and selection. Fisrtly there are some analyses of the existing system operating in company and after that follows own solution which consists of information strategy determination and the selection of convenient information system.

This thesis deals with assessment of the company information system and proposal for its changes. The basis of part called Theoretical basis of thesis deals with terms related with information systems which are mainly: used technology and analysis, characteristics of information systems, current trends and brief characteristics of the company. The next part draws from theoretical findings of previous section and deals with analysis of the solved issues. The following part is devoted to proposal for solution connected with project evaluation and also with the brief cost calculation.

There is assessed for which reason the system is utilized, what the weaknesses of system or implementation are and these are followed by the relevant proposals for improving the problematic areas. The theoretical part deals with information systems in general, process methodologies and company and information systems assessments methodologies. Introduces proposal of solution with regard to security, reliability, functionality and financial aspects of the system. The Master’s thesis is focused on purchase of a horizontal boring machine for a company, which operates in the engineering industry. It informs about the financial situation of the company, compares offers of individual banks and leasing companies as well as methods of evaluation of the investment project. The essential part of the work comprises an evaluation of a specific investment project, including formulation of recommendations for its implementation.

Master’s thesis deals with issues of personal management in multinational companies, evaluation of company’s strategy success rate, management and international manager’s performance assessment. Furthermore, investments into manager’s development are evaluated and cultural standards of Czech rep. and France are compared. Based on research, suggestions, which might be useful for future development of company and its managers, are listed in the final part of the thesis.

This work has been written to elucidate the problems of feasibility study, as valuating document of public projects and its creating in practice. In the theoretical part I have explained the public projects, possibility of their financing as well as one of the cost methods of their evaluation, e.g. cost benefit analysis. I have described the application eCBA, which is nowadays compulsory annex to application for subsidies from the structural sources in many cohesion regions. A content of the practical part is creating of the feasibility study for the construction project which has already been done. Not only its traditional forms but its development in application eCBA too. These outputs fully replace feasibility study just in cohesion region Southeast.

Diploma thesis deals with design of the ventilation system for low-energy house. Introduction of the thesis is focused on ventilation needs and also includes a summary of main principals of ventilation systems which are commonly used in family houses. One chapter is dedicated to utilization of ground heat exchangers and also includes a CFD simulation. The actual design of the ventilation system for low-energy house assess the suitability of using local/central ventilation units and also determines the best method of controlling the system.
