Republic of South Africa underwent through very significant changes. The discriminatory laws and provisions were cancelled, there were free elections maintained. The government is trying to empower black people. Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is governmental strategy which seeks to diminish differences between white and so called historically disadvantaged inhabitants. This master thesis provides broad survey of this strategy and analyses its current results.

Finanční řízení nové firmy / Financial management of the new firm

In my work I focused on the financial management of the newly established company. The aim of this work was to show not only the likely way of development of the company in a few years after the foundation, but also to assess the potential impacts of different levels of demand for its products. In the assignment I got to evaluate the possibility of an enterprises' run, its development and stability in if the deviation of sales the company will be set + - 20 %. To do this I created an MS Excel model simulating functioning of newly established company, which works in the fast-food sphere. In this model, based on certain assumptions, I quantified the main financial variables, which demonstrate enterprises' conditions according to the expected development of sales. Then I provided the intervals at which the operational and financial business activities are substantially different. In the next step I arranged the balance sheet of assets and planned capital, projected profit and loss statement and statement of cash flow since its' foundation, and for a period of 5 years, for the different states of the world. Subsequently, it was necessary to estimate the firm's run in these different cases. To do it I used the tools of financial analysis, enterprise valuation and financial modelling.

The work examines broader context of this topic, as well. Related topics, as impact of foreign direct investment and investment incentives are mentioned, too. Main part of this work is about history of subvention of industrial zones in Czech republic and their current state, as well as of the other types of business real estates, with examples. Situation in this area is compared in Czech and Slovak republics.

The diploma thesis focuses on the reform of the bank sector of France passed by the legislators in 2013. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the overall characteristics of the French economy and on the macroeconomic development of the country since 2008. The second part describes the bank system of France and contains stress tests performed at selected bank institutions. The final part focuses on the actual reform of the bank system and portrays some concrete measures taken. The thesis also contains a brief comparison of the bank reform made in 2009 in Spain and the reform that is currently taking place in France.

The diploma thesis deals with the economy of Italy and trends in tourism. The aim is to evaluate the development of the economy based on the analysis of key economic indicators, together with the evaluation of the tourism situation, which is followed by the identification of trends in tourism. The work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter provides a theoretical introduction to the topic of the thesis, while in the second chapter the author analyzes the Italian economy and its position on the international scene. The third chapter analyzes the tourism industry, its importance for the economy of the country, and its position in the international tourism market. The trends prevailing in the field of tourism are summarized at the end of the chapter. The last chapter is devoted to the World Expo, which took place in Milan in 2015.

The diploma thesis focuses on position of Iceland as an international tourism destination. The first chapter defines theoretical framework for the thesis, whereas the second chapter introduces essential information about the country and its macroeconomic environment. The third chapter deals with the topic of Icelandic tourism and its importance for the economy. The influence of the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in 2010 for tourism is taken into account. The following chapter number four is based on questionnaire about attractiveness of Iceland for Czech tourists. The final chapter sumps up trends of Iceland tourism and focuses on other possibilities of development in this field. In the end the forecast of Icelandic inbound tourism is calculated with a method called regression analysis.

The aim of this paper is to analyse the economic transformation and identify key factors holding back the economic growth. In the theoretical part of this paper there will be a short introduction of China. Some Chinese social and economic specifics will also be explained. The end of this chapter will be focused on historical economic reforms and current goals for the economy. Next chapter will be focused on analysis of the economy in the last decade using the official available data. In the conclusion of this paper there will be presented findings and key factors holding back the economic growth of China.

Next part describes the process of maturing of information technologies, which enables bypassing of costly intermediaries, who are replaced by other users or advanced algorithms in the fields, which werent fundamentally touched by ICT until now. Work intersects the knowledge of the of the IT industry and minor specialization from FFU VSE.
