Školní vzdělávací program a ZUŠ / General Educational Program and Music School

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to find out, whether selected elementary art schools, operating under the same conditions in the same district, have chosen the same ways of creating and implementing SEP (School Educational Programme). The creation of SEP could be conceived either innovatively or by expansion of existing curriculum. The thesis also deals with the question, whether schools included in the research continuously work on their SEP and, simultaneously, whether they are able to edit and improve it according to the feedback and experience obtained in practice. The last area of research is an issue of teaching according to SEP. The thesis investigates its pros and cons from the point of view of each included school.

Diploma thesis is focused on pupils' coordination abilities on primary grade of elementary school. The main goal is comparison of pupils' levels in coordination skills, who attend dancing lessons in elementary art school and pupils who do not. It leads to be found out how dance and movement education influence coordination skills. The research part consists of motor tests, which find out levels of rhythmics, reacts, balances, orientations, associations and rebuilding. These tests are supplemented by questionnaire, which finds out information needed for processing of results. The questionnaire finds out what sports and how long the pupils do them in an organized way, whether the pupils do sports in an unorganized manner or not at all. In results there are compared measured values. Each test is described and evaluated. In the tests there are compared pupils of primary grade of elementary school and they are split to four categories - non-sporting pupils, unorganized sporting pupils, organized sporting pupils and elementary art school. For comparing results there were chosen values - arithmetic mean, minimum and maximum measured value and supplemented by graphical processing of comparison of selected four groups. Pohybové schopnosti dětí mladšího školního věku / Motor abilities of primary school children

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out and compare the level of motor abilities of younger school age children attending dance lessons at Elementary Art school and then to compare it with the level of motor abilities of younger school age children which do sports only in Physical Education. It has been testing at the Elementary Art school in Chotěboř and at the Primary School Smetanova in Chotěboř and I used the battery test - Unifittest (6-60), which I completed by the holistic motoric test, called the Jacík test. I also used a questionnaire to find out what other sports activities do pupils of the dance branch. The research part of this work shows that the dance students achieved on average better results than the pupils of the Primary School dedicated to sports only in Physical Education. The biggest difference was between the test groups in the repeatedly "Leh-Sed", when the dance students were better by almost 30 %. Using a questionnaire survey I found out that 9 out of 14 pupils of the dance branch attend at least one other sports club. Language acquisition of ESL students in a discipline-based art education classroom using collaborative learning and whole language

This study examined the influences of a variety of verbal and non-verbal strategies on the language acquisition of six fourth grade ESL students in a discipline-based art education classroom. The art teacher/researcher spoke only English, and the students spoke Spanish almost exclusively. The art instruction occurred during eighteen 30 minute sessions, over a period of five months. The program involved the whole language approach, collaborative/cooperative learning, and the study of art concepts through verbal and graphic symbol cue cards and images of art works. Data were amassed from transcripts of video recordings, student and teacher interviews, and reflective notes. This study showed highly successful results with student growth in language acquisition and comprehension of art concepts.

In the practical part presents the results of action research attesting specific expected benefits of using Google Apps for the creation of the school education programme. Details the results of each of the 4 cycles of action research, which is currently becoming the next cycle starting points. Based on the experience the author recommends the use of innovative technologies Google Apps as an alternative solution to traditional forms of team projects in the school environment.

The main topic of this diploma thesis is project called Pre-school aesthetic education "PAE", which is tought at Elementary Art School. In theoretical part are generally explained terms aesthetic, aesthetic education and their brief history, current possibilities of aesthetic education in selected Elementary Art Schools and characteristic of PAE project. Research part focus on acquisition of the project in education at Elementary Art Schools, effectiveness in the selection of artistic field in pre-school age and at least suitability of including this project into the School Education Program of other Elementary Art Schools. For the research were used empirical methods (observations, questionnaire, interviews). Overall results of research are based on comparison and evaluation of the answers from all respondent categories. These results show positive evaluation of PAE, which suitably fills the pre-school period of children with meaningful activities, which are connected with comprehensive development of personality. Extensive appendix brings closer view to the work of children in PAE classes. It contains scanned pictures, newspaper articles and patterns of questionnaires. The thesis also examines factors, that influence out-of- school education of children. The thesis contains theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part the term of social environment and its possible influence on out-of- school musical education of children are defined and clarified. Different social groups, that children usually walks through in their lives, are described in individual chapters. Big attention is given to these social groups. In thesis problematics of influence of massmedia on children's musical development is delineate. My dissertation deals with the reform of the elementary artistic educatin in Czech Republic and opinions of the the teachers on it . The theoretical part describes the history and development of elementary artistic schools, the Framing education program for artistic education, project PILOT ZUV and the manual for School Educational Program. The practical part contains opinions of 13 teachers and headmasters of Elementary Artistic Schools in South Bohemia on the creating of School Educational Program at their schools. There are also their opinions on practical using of SEP and their view of the effect of the SEP on the students. The results are made by qualitative research.
